HI THERE. MY NAME IS JOHN RO OGDEN, BUT OGGIE WILL DO...
WELCOME TO BIG OGGIE GOLF, THE HOME OF THE BIG OGGIE BUCCANEERS AND THE BIG OGGIE CREW.
I am a newbie golfer, 54 Years old and lets say, hmm a BIG lad... But that doesn't stop me, I have a passion for the sport and although I have lots to learn I want to prove to people that Golf can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age, size, shape or experience.
BIG OGGIE GOLF is my growing channel dedicated to ALL golfers.
WE ARE BUILDING A GREAT COMMUNITY ACROSS THE SOUTH WEST UK AND BEYOND.
We can't all be professional or scratch standard and many of us will never get close, but we can still have FUN.
So there will be regular Vlogs, Product reviews and Golf Course reviews from around the UK as well as Worldwide.
We will meet many golfers and golf fans along the way and I hope you will get to see things a little differently from the usual Golf UA-cam Channels out there.
There will also be lots of fun to be had and once the channel is established regular Competitions for Channel subscribers to take part in.
Golf sometimes gets a bad press and whilst occasionally that might be justified I hope to show it as not quite as stuffy and stereotyped as one would imagine.
There will also be my thoughts on what makes golf seem so stressful for people just starting out, and I will be looking at ways of making that all important first step a little easier.

31 degrees, did you film that in May or early June, because we’ve only had wind and rain since summer began! Nice looking course, some good golf from Mr Parkes.
Oh he is a very good player my friend x and yes honestly 31° all day... that must have been the entire summer in one day lol

Hi David I must go back to Enmore Park as I haven’t been there since last year. I know they changed pros there and I think there may have been other changes so will be good to forage a look.

Hi Oggie have been following your videos for some time now. I emigrated to new Zealand six years ago and used to live just up the road from Oake manor where I was a member for a couple years. Was great to see you play the course brought back so many memories. You visited most of the same spots on the course that I used to. It is a lovely course as long as you are straight, however if you stray off the fairways it can jump up and bite you and blow your score up quickly. Cant wait to see you next game there. Keep up the good work mate love the vids I'm about the same handicap and size as you so can relate to what you do and how you play. ps can I be an honorary Buccaneer from New Zealand ? :-)

This course looks to be in beautiful condition. Some of the courses seen on golf vlogs since lock down have really suffered
and their condition poor. feel very sorry for the greenkeepers trying to get them up to scratch. Some Iffy golf but such a lot of enjoyment to be had. May I ask where Simon is from, he sounds posh geordie to me. Starting to get around a few courses now John, need to do a few miles yet to catch up with Buccaneer Dewey.
The course was in superb condition my friend x as for Simon I will have to check about where he is from or he may reply to here lol. Oh I get to a lot of courses, or rather I do plenty of miles due to where I live.
Wow you don’t half get to some superb courses John it looked like you both enjoyed it.
It was a wonderful Day my friend but 30° plus was a bit too warm lol

Looks a nice course but potentially expensive on drowned balls.
Funnily enough I worries about that but the water is only dangerous on a few holes really even though there are 12 holes with some water around or along them
John we need to hear more of ur past, I know u were a photographer(wink, wink, nudge nudge) but Simon is making you out to be like Peter Stringfellow😁 like Simon I use Cobra hybrids John u sud give them a go, I even have the red one Simon has u sud probably get 1 cheap as they are older but still a great club
