  • From the classic Ernest Hemingway short story “Hills Like White Elephants” comes a modern retelling told through the eyes of two teenagers on the New Jersey Coast. “Let The Air In” is a short drama that tells the story of two teenagers faced with a life changing decision and the deconstruction of their relationship over the course of a conversation.
    Directed by Justin Boswick with cinematography from Dylan Tollefson and starring Kelsea Feder & Tom Mahany. Special Thanks to those at the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park for the location.

    Wow, this was well done! I liked how it was modernized. It still worked for me. I plan on showing my class this after we read the short story today.

    I really liked this, both the acting and the handheld camera shots made this lok very real. Also I like how the script was written, it wasn't a copy of the original but it stil manteined the authenticity.

    Awesome! However, it's obvious that the audio changes as the shot changes. For example, every time we switch to the wide master, the noise floor increases dramatically and the dynamic range lessens. This is disruptive. Great audio is, well, great - But consistency is also just as important. There are ways to avoid some of it with creative editing, depending on how much coverage you got - And ADR, as you probably know. Getting "roomtone" is vital as well when dialogue editing. After awhile, I was drawn in and enjoyed the piece. Good job!
