Kevin doesn't get a whole lot of solo vocal time in the group, since that's not his job. But he has his own YT channel where you can hear him sing, play various instruments, run the whole studio with looping and just kinda blow stuff up. He may be the most talented member of PTX.
I remember crying at the bridge, when I first heard this version. I just couldn't hold the tears any longer. They did the song more than justice ❤️ I've noticed you haven't checked Mary did you know yet. You'll find another beautiful Kevin's vocal part there 🙂
Please react to Gaither Vocal Band singing “Let Freedom Ring” live from Carnegie Hall. You will be blown away🙏🏻🙏🏻 David Phelps is wearing the Blue shirt. He is unbelievable!!!!! He has many great songs👍👍👍
I totally agree with you that Kevin is incredible. If I may, I would like to rephrase your last sentiment by saying Kevin is always front and center. His beatboxing makes Pentatonix who they are. I agree with what you meant, I would love to hear his angelic voice more often too.
I don't know what all you've reacted to so far, but Kevin sings a solo in Say Something, Sing, Imagine, A Little Space (I think), Mary Did You Know, Little Drummer Boy, Away in a Manger, and 12 Days of Christmas!
And it's so surprising how very few reactors mention it. I have seen one vocal coach mention it and I think that's about all. This is one of those songs that manages to get "reactears" from some people. It's amazing that it can do that so easily. Pentatonix is amazing that they can do that so easily. With any given song.
I was one of the crazies who watched when this dropped. I cried every single time for the first 20 times. Seeing you get the KO'd, makes pentaholics happy.
Me also, starts with the long note in intro by Kirsty, Matt & Kevin, chill bumps. It's like a tribute to the bagpipes that so commonly accompany this hymn. Climbs in emotion so dramatically by the time it gets to Kirsty I am bawling. Then drops. Kevin comes in with a softer angelic tone and Matt sings in harmony! Gives me chills just describing it.
When Avi left, before Matt came, the 4 who were left sang "Away in a Manger", and Kevin sang with them. They all did their own body percussion. Give it a listen. Good to have you back reacting to PTX. I always enjoy your reactions to them.
Poem originally written in 1772 by a slave ship captain who converted to Christianity and became an abolitionist. Filmed in The Wander's Chapel in the California Redwoods.
PTX have no rivals. There are some other truly wonderful a capella groups, but PTX seems to have a greater range of versatility. They alter their delivery style to match their material. Compare their sound here with 90s Dance Medley and Bohemian Rhapsody. In this song, Kirstie sounds more like Dolly Parton than her usual tone and reduced vibrato. Have been a subscriber for a while. I really enjoy your reactions! By the way, you sound northern. Have you any connection with Appleby, Westmorland? Hope you continue reacting for a long while. If you haven't checked out early k. d. lang, her first three or four albums were country, what she called Torch 'n' Twang, then her style changed dramatically. Sorry this note is such a mare's nest!
I had this play at my Mum's funeral last week as she requested. No-one had heard this version before and guests were just stunned not only by how apt it was but also it's sheer beauty.
I saw them do this live during their Christmas tour last year, & it's just as beautiful as the produced version. Of course I cried, but then a lott of the songs made me cry that night. I was just so blessed to be there - front row, center stage so I was already highly emotional!!
Glad to have you back with PTX. Please continue with their reactions. Joyful, Joyful live from their Evergreen Experience is a great one. Kevin and Matt do a little break out during the song. I am sure you will love it. 💕💕
Welcome back to PTX. I always enjoy your reactions very much. News you might have missed PTX has been awarded a star on Hollywood walk of fame in 2023. Yay!!!! There is a great behind the scenes video on you tube. making Evergreen “ their last album. It’s so interesting to see behind the scenes Be a different reaction
Okay, we have Mitch slapped, but I think we need something for Kevin. loved your face when you saw him singing. Please react to “Mary Did You Know”. It touches me every time I hear it and Kevin has a part at the end that is just magical. You may want to add it to the Christmas songs you are going to react to. As far as Kevin, I can’t remember what you have reacted to. he raps n some songs. “Butter” comes to mind. And as far a beatboxing, I think he kills it in “Come Along”. For some reason, I think I remember him singing in their original song, “Sing”. You should also check out his personal YT. Especially the song, “Down”. Thanks 😊
I think at first it took a while to convince him to sing with them. He was comfortable with the base and beatboxing. I think we're all glad he finally did.
Hello Taylor Family Reactions - so glad you are still reacting to PTX. This is Pure Pentatonix Perfection. Matt so deep and warm at the start. Scott so raspy and strong. Mitch with his lower register, smooth as caramel, rich and strong, hitting and holding those notes, and with those runs and vibratos. Kirstie belting to the skies so sharply. Kevin driving the beat with the drums and clashing cymbals and then singing so sweetly at the end. The voices layering, stacking and echoing. The crescendo. The harmonies. The church setting. They are all singing with such conviction and meaning. This is a masterpiece A Capella performance. PTX sound just as good when performing this live. Kevin has some solo work where he sings and plays several instruments and does some clever mixing and looping. Loved your reaction, as always, your facial expressions say it all.
Amazing Grace was my mothers favorite song. I just wish she could have lived long enough to see this video. Even though I’ve watched this a gazillion times, I still get goose bumps! I wish they would do my favorite song which is How Great Thou Art. But yes, this song is beyond amazing! Truly their best so far.
That was amazing. So beautiful in every way. Fills your heart with amazement. Pentatonic perfect from start to finish. Thanks Craig. Great reaction. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
One of their all-time best performances, the emotions just gripped the listener and the harmonies simply beyond belief. To see Kevin at his best, watch his solo performance of "Down".
Hi Craig, i’m so happy u have finally reacted to Amazing Grace. U know certain songs touch u in a way no other does. this made me tear up , have chills all over . Kevin was a lovely surprise at the end. ur words described this song perfectly it was just Heavenly! 😇🇬🇧x
No matter how many times I watch this the tears flow. And you are so right; that version is as close to hearing a choir of angels singing as we will ever get on earth. This one is very special! ♥️
I always expect this group to knock my socks off and they certainly did not disappoint with this rendition. Hearing the boom-boxer sing those high notes really took me by surprise. Wonderful.
Thanks for your reaction! Yes, Kevin can surprise us with his amazing talent. One of my favorites with Pentatonix is "Say Something" where Kevin is stunning with the celloboxing and sings in the end and Pentatonix cover of "Imagine" with Kevin's high falsetto in their wall of sound and his solo at the end. For more straight singing solo Kevin that will amaze you, I would go to his solo channel 'KO' for his cover of "Down" followed by "Sign Of The Times".
You should check out Kevin's channel and watch his KOver of True Colors (by Cyndi Lauper)...this version of Amazing Grace makes me cry, it goes right down to your soul. I love it❤
Even if you are not a believer, you have to admire this song. But for myself, this song means even more. "My God my Saviour has rescued me" "My chains are gone, I've been set free"....Amen
This one is definitely in my top 2 of their covers. I never get tired of it and have goosebumps/chills every time! Check out Mary Did You Know? for more of Kevin’s heavenly singing. If the soundtrack for heaven isn’t PTX on loop for eternity (with each member’s solo work sprinkled throughout), I am going to be extremely upset. How else will I get time to listen to and enjoy all of their songs?? 🔥👏🏻💜
You can check their live version of Amazing Grace from their evergreen tour last Christmas. They sound exactly the same so it gives even more chills!! (P.s. don’t look for any other live versions because there are a few from TV appearances and they’ve all been cut of Mitch’s part so they sing straight from Scott to Kirstie ☹️)
Thank you for the beautiful reaction to this beautiful Pentatonix. They are incredible. Kevin has his own UA-cam channel. Everything on it is amazing. Please react to his solo videos. My current obsession is Kevin's performance video of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". Please react to it. "Sign Of The Times" and "Down" are also popular Kevin videos. His original "Renegade" is awesome. It's mostly him playing his cello. It's stunning.
♥ When God was dishing out talent, he gave to Kevin with both hands. I'm looking forward to your reaction to Happy Now. It's a song that has gotten me through some really tough stuff.
💕💙🎶🎵🎶**IF THERE IS MUSIC IN HEAVEN, IT WOULD SOUND LIKE PENTATONIX** 🎶🎵🎶💙💕
Kevin sings a little on "Mary, Did You Know". That one is definately worth a listen.
Imagine, My Heart with You, Mary Did you Know, Dreams are some where Kevin sings.
When PTX started out he said he couldn't sing. Avi told him, "yes, you can". They were roommates and Avi "taught" him how to sing.
Mary Did you Know has a Kevin spot light. Love your reactions thanks for the sincerity.
Takes an open mind & spine to react to songs of faith in such a secular climate. Much Respect & Appreciation!
Kevin doesn't get a whole lot of solo vocal time in the group, since that's not his job. But he has his own YT channel where you can hear him sing, play various instruments, run the whole studio with looping and just kinda blow stuff up. He may be the most talented member of PTX.
Have you heard them do “The Prayer”? It’s awesome!
Tears. Every time.
I believe this is my favorite song of theirs.
SO FITTING R/I/P OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN
I remember crying at the bridge, when I first heard this version. I just couldn't hold the tears any longer. They did the song more than justice ❤️ I've noticed you haven't checked Mary did you know yet. You'll find another beautiful Kevin's vocal part there 🙂
Look for any of their songs and you will find a live performance!! To see how true this group is!!
I was just gonna say the same thing. One of my favorites
If I get to heaven I want that song too let me know I made it!!.
Please react to Gaither Vocal Band singing
“Let Freedom Ring” live from Carnegie Hall.
You will be blown away🙏🏻🙏🏻
David Phelps is wearing the Blue shirt. He is unbelievable!!!!! He has many great songs👍👍👍

It just can't get any better. They are amazing. I'm 72 and I have never heard it done more beautifully.
Every time I watch this video, I get misty-eyed. This is one of my favorites, and I love the sound of Mitch's lower register.
I don't know what all you've reacted to so far, but Kevin sings a solo in Say Something, Sing, Imagine, A Little Space (I think), Mary Did You Know, Little Drummer Boy, Away in a Manger, and 12 Days of Christmas!
The sustained note at the beginning by Kirstie and Kevin is supposed to be bagpipes, like in the traditional performance of this song.
I love that touch, just beautiful
And it's so surprising how very few reactors mention it. I have seen one vocal coach mention it and I think that's about all. This is one of those songs that manages to get "reactears" from some people. It's amazing that it can do that so easily. Pentatonix is amazing that they can do that so easily. With any given song.
When I first heard this and for about a month after, when Kirstie did her part I broke down bawling like a baby. I still tear up every time I hear it.
Me too, every single time.
I was one of the crazies who watched when this dropped. I cried every single time for the first 20 times.
Seeing you get the KO'd, makes pentaholics happy.

"closest to heaven with air in your lungs"
That's at's a pretty great review of this performance! 💖🦋
Oh my goodness I have never heard such a beautiful version, I was truly transformed to thinking about heaven!
Poem originally written in 1772 by a slave ship captain who converted to Christianity and became an abolitionist.
Filmed in The Wander's Chapel in the California Redwoods.
This version is a cappella perfection and if you’re a believer in God’s grace, it’s even more moving. Humbles me ever time I hear it 🕊🕊🕊
Would love for you to do Mary Did You Know...it's so beautiful.
I so love Pentatonix ~~ Goosebumps and chills every time !
You have to love Kirstie's soul and powerful singing voice. She gets better and better ! Her classical training shows.
Awesome and angelic
The undisputed accapela champs! Anyone who doesn't break over this or close is a zombie!
Sounds as heavenly live
I was waiting to see your face when Kevin started to sing! 😅
Phenomenal. The next one that will move you to heaven is The Prayer. Originally done by Andrea Bochelli and Celine Dion. You will adore it I’m sure
They have excellent harmony! It's incredible that they can do their songs a capella! Many people couldn't pull this off with a full accompaniment.

Thank you Lord we humans can praise with such beautiful voices just imagine heaven thank you heavenly Father

I am a Home Fry, all the way, that doesn't stop me from appreciating other groups, like Voice Play and PTX, and PTX is marvelous with this.
Glad to have you back with PTX. Please continue with their reactions. Joyful, Joyful live from their Evergreen Experience is a great one. Kevin and Matt do a little break out during the song. I am sure you will love it. 💕💕
I noticed how surprised when Kevin started to sing!! He has such a beautiful voice!!

My grandmother loved this. We sang it at her funeral.

We do...it's K.O'd !! 😉
I'm not the biggest PTX fan, BUT this version is absolutely breathtaking. It's one of my favorite songs.
This one and their Sound of Silence are my TOP favourites. Pure vocal PERFECTION. Cheers from Canada :)
Yay!!! I’ve been wanting you to react to this for SO LONG!! Awesome.
Heavenly choir....Kirstie just got me deep with that brilliant bright tone of hers, then Kevin....whew.
I love harmonies but I am a Home Fry, probably because they tend to cover music I know. And this song is powerful np matter who sings it.
I am not a religious man but that's a good song reminds me of my grandpa's funeral though
Another Kevin-moment: Mary did you know! (and of course the „Havanna“ Trumpet Solo…!
Down diddy down diddy down diddy down down down! Kevin's KOVer of DOWN!
My mom passed away 2 months ago. While this song gives me comfort, I can't hear it without tears flowing. So beautiful!!
All of the above. I feel the same way about this performance. Thank you so much.
Arent they amazing?! When they sing hallelujah in their video the tears free fall!
I think at first it took a while to convince him to sing with them. He was comfortable with the base and beatboxing. I think we're all glad he finally did.
I'm not a big fan of PTX, but I love their version of this song, and Mitch's voice is fantastic!
Sooo beautiful

Have you reacted to The Prayer?
Kevin has bits in Mary, Did You Know and Imagine. Both are amazing.
I absolutely love the sounds of silence by Pentatonix....it too is amazing.
I love Radioactive that they do with a violinist about apocalypse.
This one really got me tonight. Thank you for the reaction 💖🦋
Amazing Grace was my mothers favorite song. I just wish she could have lived long enough to see this video. Even though I’ve watched this a gazillion times, I still get goose bumps! Watch Kevin's own channel KO. He is amazing!! My favorite is his cover of "Down'.
Made me cry.
Gloriously done! It touched my heart, spirit and soul.
That was amazing. So beautiful in every way. Fills your heart with amazement. Pentatonic perfect from start to finish. Thanks Craig. Great reaction. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Wonderful reaction. I've seen this over 100 times. Still feel the same chills.
Thank you for the smiles.
Hope and joy to you. Pass it on. =^;^=

Loved your smile when you heard Kevin sing!
Hi from Aus. This was my mom's request at her funeral. I'm still crying as I type. Perfection. Thank you.
I always loved ‘Mary did you know’. Kevin has a solo part in that one.
Love your reactions!!! The Prayer by PTX is also amazing.
Thanks for your reaction! Yes, Kevin can surprise us with his amazing talent. Super Reaction! This was my introduction to Pentatonix. I was stunned and then angry that a capella groups are not played on the radio. It so unfair.
I actually don’t care that much for this song, but Pentatonix made me a fan of their version
You should check out Kevin's channel and watch his KOver of True Colors (by Cyndi Lauper)...this version of Amazing Grace makes me cry, it goes right down to your soul. I love it❤
I love to listen to them all the time
Even if you are not a believer, you have to admire this song. But for myself, this song means even more. "My God my Saviour has rescued me" "My chains are gone, I've been set free"....Amen
Yes agree... If I get to the here-after and the choir doesn't sound as good as "Pentatonix", I'm going to be deeply disapponted. LOL🎼🎶🎺
Beautiful!
This one is definitely in my top 2 of their covers. I never get tired of it and have goosebumps/chills every time! Check out Mary Did You Know? for more of Kevin’s heavenly singing. Do listen to their rendition of The Prayer. Heavenly doesn't cover it, and yes, Kevin gets a solo there too!
Absolutely.

❤❤❤❤❤
To really hear Kevin, find the video where Kevin Olusola does a cover of the Harry Stiles song "Sign Of The Times".
Great reaction, told you you would like it!!!! Thanks for reacting to it
