The SA-200 is the perfect downhill machine especially the model with the arc control you really can just hold the rod in the grove and it lays down like butter on a biscuit !!!!! The miller is ok but the puddle stays to wet when capping the amperage stays to consistent even when you long arc so you’ll get a lot more undercut, the Lincoln has a much more stable current and you can control your amps by decreasing or increasing arc length to the base metal which makes it easier to stack dimes on the bottom without leaving undercut!!!!!!!! These boys are jam-up hands I love to see our craft done right by real welders most of these guys on UA-cam are just test lab welders !!!!!!
I hope you are being sarcastic about the miller being to consistant. If anything miller has a "more stable arc". Plus I have never seen any 200 that's original that has arc control. Besides the 200d
Old welders use to tell up & coming welders that if they showed up on a jobsite with a Miller, they'd b "run off the jobsite." Obviously no longer these days. Whichever & whatever works!
Dumbest shit ever, Miller welders are way ahead of Lincoln by along shot. Best example is the Miller Pipeworx 400, it’s a 4 phase (Stick, TIG, MIG, and Flux Core) machine and it runs fucking great. Lincoln can’t figure out how they got all 4 of them to run so great, they could only make a 3 phase machine
In just trying to get a job as an apprentice over here, and y’all talking about who’s better and what not, on-a serious note, where does one apply at? I’d like to get on.
Clifton Williams thanks bud, Collision tech 16 years and going, mig and aluminum certified, I think I like to try something else, bud I’ll definitely go check that out. Thank you
Thanks fellas, really nice job. Next time if you please, can you show a little bit more back and forth SA 200 vs Miller. Like have an SA 200 man demonstrate what so great about SA 200 and and the Miller man demonstrate what he likes about the arc and welding capabilities of the Miller. I know they're both great machines, I just want to see / hear why so many especially pipeline welders gravitate to that old iron. Thanks again
I died when he asked for the hammer and said “it should be done in there”. When i was helping that line would piss me tf off let me tell ya 🤣 brought back memories when i heard that
@@tapllarrow3984 the dial goes from 0 to 100, if you have your machine set at 160 amps then 100 is 160..the remotes are convenient so you don't have to run back and forth to the machine constantly
the SA is clearly a good machine but the blue is to if we actually face it but it's true what is inferred that all machines are not the same and don't weld the same, for instance, i like to vantage and rangers but that doesn't mean that Hobart isn't ok. I heard a guy say that he wanted all the bells and whistles on his machine and digal read out etc but a person can either weld or he can't but there again i like porsche panamera but can drive a f150
What type of welding lens do you recommend?? I use a #10 but i have to grind a line before capping because if i dont i'll get lost and my cap comes out crooked..
Taylor Sanchez do you Stare at the “light”? Cause that may be throwing you off. I like to follow the rod as I travel. I’ll look forward, the bevel, how it’s stacking in the back, the other bevel, and right back to where I started. If that makes sense.
@@davidmartin2231 yea i see what you mean.. when i do one bead cap i dont have trouble its when i do several bead cap.. just that first bead after that i can see pretty good..
PEPE KNOWS!! good job bro..you don't use one motion all the time you use what's working right now, circles, whipping, side to side, whip and side to side etc....
Nunca e trabajado con los pipeliners yo soy pipe welder y no hago down hill Yo hago puro up hill mi root pass Me gustaría calarme con un pipeliner para ver cuál sale mejor el down hill y yo up hill
I get that they bought everything for the video. The question is why? If you do this day in and day out you should have everything. They dont go out and buy new for every job right.
Chris WOOD it’s a school Chris. They have bags and bags of new stuff to work with. Also this is the first video where they shoot pipeline weld outside.
delis padilla no one is wearing a jacket my guy it’s summer time in Texas,,those are wrangler pearl snaps,,,extra heavy on the starch the Texas welder way the only way

Awesome work guys! Loving the collab vids
@@weldtube our pleasure. Keep up the good work
Finally a big blue 300 in a vid been wanting to see if there was a big difference from a “pipe pro “ and a “big blue”
I like how dude gets mad at his helper for doing what he wants him to do on the heat 😂
Happy to see that el Pepe finally learned how to weld lol
Nice setup and Great job guys!
I’d like to see this stuff get x-rayed and interpreted to a pipeline code

Good job.In Finland downhill welding is not permitted method high pressure pipes or load bearing structures
These guys are masters!
Amazing vídeo!!

Somewhere in there*. Auto correct
When is that pancake coming out? Hope they have designs like the rest of there stuff
Muy buen video y exelente tomas! Que cámara y lente usaron???? Saludos desde Argentina!
5:06 - 5/32 6010 at 35amps....45-50amps 5/32 8010?? Maybe 35 - 50 on the remote. Nice job - nice machines - nice welds
Thought the same thing
How can you run that low? Is it the gap? What do you mean remote? I'm a Tig welder learning stick.

5/32 at 40 amps???? Never
All new equipments, new glove, new hood, new shirt ,new shorts, new stingers haha

SA 200 is a freaking classic, love the sound, But Miller PP400 with a Cat is the cats pajamas.
So why weren’t the grounds on the end of the pipe and why did Abraham have the clamp handle in his face taking the top?
love the way you ground the welders
Grasshoppers Baby!
Nice video demo. Could you please do a video demo on 2 inch sch 120 carbon pipe using 309 stick electrode for fill and cap tig 309 root hot pass?
Love too see my peeps welding bad azz💥
Who makes that grasshopper? Like that one

merci pour la vidéo vraiment sa motive
Fresh video an thanks for the tips I just passed my union pipe test #navajonation
Can we see more of the bottom side
What stick welding rods are there
One dumb question: Why don't you use automatic helmets?? Are they too clumsy or what?
Is the grasshopper in the bevel to prevent grounding marks on the face of the pipe?
Daniel Rodriguez yes!
outstanding. period.
I never seen 6010 and 7018 downhill
I always go up
I don’t know
But good job
i like your helmet boss..can i buy that one too?where?
I would like to work there.
What is the rig on the top of the pipe called, not the clamp. and how does it mount
Jeff Schmit it's the ground clams and mounts with magnets
Jeff Schmit the other fixture holds their grinder and wire wheel and also uses magnets
@@mattharper588 I thought it had the work clamps on it but wasn't sure. Pretty cool fixture
Called a grasshopper, keeps the work lead in the Grove so no ground arc strikes outside of weld arra
What amps y’all use for the toot
They call me Pé-pé 🥺💜
Buenas noche, ustedes no podrán poner subtitulada en español,hay parte que le entiendo

I am welder i want opportunity
Does the hood give you decent protection? Itd intresting, great job and presentsion keep buring rods men!
Michael Coriglianol actually yes. Pancakes block out all the back light that you get a pipeliner. So yeah it’s better for your eyes

Who parked their rig next to the weld?🤦🏾♂️
New T300’s, new gloves, new pipe jacks, and new hood🤔
