Thanks Faith. I’m about 2 weeks into your channel and God is using you to aid me in truly studying the Bible for the first time in almost 18 years. Your information and zeal for the Word aids me when the enemy tries to Bible block me 🙏🏽💗 you are an inspiration to sooo many. I don’t even know how I got led to your channel but am so happy I did. I anxiously await your new videos and have been finding joy in catching up on all the older videos. Thanks again. You are a breath of fresh air during a dark season in my life 🙏🏽✝️❤️
I'm new to Bible journaling and am so glad you share your "mistakes" with us. I'm not real creative or artistic but I can still put notes in my Bible that are meaningful to me and look ok! lol!! 💜
I've watched this earlier. And again today, and doing it this way has really helped a lot. I needed something other than just boxes. It is more eye catching. Thanks 😊
I've wanted to find the perfect Bible highlighters, pens,...etc, but let's be honest...colored pencils are the best go to ever! They aren't going to bleed now or in 10 years...they never ghost,...you won't find they make the pages stick together eventually, they are always readily available, come in a million awesome colors, can be LAYERED, and they are CHEAP! not to mention safe for littles if they find them sitting around! I agree you've got a great great system Faith! I love how you know so many go-to folded over paper looks! I would need a cheat sheet to remember them all 😂 You're like a comic artist almost! 😂 Thanks for sharing.
Awesome Video!!! I have LOVED adapting boxing my notes with sources, using faux tape, and adding banners in my Bible journaling. Even my husband, when we were doing our together Bible study time after supper one night commented, "I love those banners!" ✝💜
I'm new to bible journaling. I've never journalled in my bible and always used text in a separate book. I've been getting confused with how people manage their journalling and your video was a joy to watch. It may look chaotic at first glance, but it makes absolute sense and is simply done. Thank you.
I like to take a lot of notes and my bibles easily got crowded and started to look like all of them blending together. Several months ago I started watching your videos and now I do the boxed out notes and it’s such an amazing change! It makes it SO much easier to follow notes and what they are for!
I always find little nuggets of truth, wisdom and inspiration buried in every single video of yours. I'm a new subbie, about 5 videos in, and I'm so thankful for you!
This really helped me! I hadn't found my real personal system or rather hadn't realized I did. This helped me find my personal method and fine tune it. I am not sure that is clear but it TRULY helped!
Yes to the boxes!!! If I dont have boxes i get SO confused in my own notes -bible or otherwise. Your bible looks busy and crazy but i know it is absolutely intuitive. I know that if i had written this, it would SO clear. I love it SO much. I cannot understate. Im stealing, Jesus forgive me ;) I did bible college as a new christian (6 months in) and just never absorbed the information. I was lazy, and also didnt consider myself academic at all- i really believed i was stupid. I kept all the books, but never did anything with them (refer to being lazy). But LOVE the idea of going back through them and putting them into an interleaved bible like this. A decade later i have grown so much in the word and my thology and character tbh .. and it now sounds FUN to do a study through my old notes... And your videos have definitely inspired me to do it. Im so excited. So, thanks sister. I'm so lucky to have found you. In 10 more years i hope to have a monster of a bible filled with wonderful enriching nootes!!!!
I love how the personal and unique way you Bible journal reflects your personal and unique relationship with the Lord. I bet He loves your style; He created it after all! Thanks for keeping something that’s easy to over-intellectualize and compartmentalize into an extension of that relationship.
I absolutely love how your Bible note taking system is. It's beautiful and I'm all for all the many different colors and all the different designs like I'm so here for it. Faith❤❤❤❤❤
I absolutely adored this drawing tutorial. I'm the worst at it, and am ALWAYS asking my husband to do the artwork for our business (lol), but this helps me so much...as I'm new to note-taking in my bible. Thank you!
Your style is so SO cute. I feel like bible journaling is kind of a spectrum with "art" on one side and "notes" on the other. I'm almost entirely on the "notes" side and typically neglect making it look cute, so I super appreciate these ideas! Also, for those who want to do color coding, it really doesn't need to be complicated-- I color code based on genre: red for law, orange for history, yellow for wisdom/poetry, green for prophesy, blue for gospels, and purple for epistles. It's a helpful tool for hermenutics and you can use a single pencil for an entire chunk of books, so you're not digging for an oddly specific shade of magenta to highlight a niche topical subject, (which I would find infuriating lol.) Just a tip for those who prefer a bit of order/organization in how they highlight.
I just found your channel on UA-cam a couple of weeks ago. It was your video about how big your Bible is that was recommended lol. Ever since then I have been binge-watching all that I can. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge and encouragement. I just bought my first journal and some markers to start a prayer journal. I'm also asking for a Bible dictionary for my birthday. I feel like your videos have the kind of information that I've been looking for when it comes to how to study my Bible. Thank you so much for all your content!
This was such a helpful video for me diving deeper in Bible journaling. I recently bought an Illuminated Scripture Journal for my study of Acts and to practice journaling before starting in my new Bible.
@HowtoFaithALife First-THANK YOU! I’ve been SO enjoying your videos and I’ve got a new Bible and can’t wait to implement these ideas! Second-I’m concerned about the weight of add-on papers and fold-outs. Do they ever tear the fragile Bible paper? Is the a type/weight of paper you’d recommend to use? Third-I LOVE your bookcases and would love a link as I’m re-doing my office and have SO many books. Lastly-you are SO lovely inside and out! What a gift you are to all us followers. You’re my “go-to” channel! God bless you as you minister 💕🙏🌸
I am a new subscriber living in Northern California. I love the videos I love Jesus I love learning about Jesus thank you so much for all your hard work. I need to catch up on all your other Vlogs I will do that. Thank you so much.🙏💙🇺🇸
Thank you for the tips! I think you might like junk journaling. I saw that you do scrapbooking, but I think you would enjoy junk journaling as well. I like Kanoe Gibson, Johanna Clough and Paper Terrace. Kind regards, Karen (from the Netherlands)
Thanks again for showing us your methods of note taking. I'm still looking for an ESV Interleaved Bible for under $50 (you did tell us not to pay more than that for a Bible 😉) I saw one last week for $49 but my SS check wasn't in so I had to let it pass. 😟 I'm surprised to find out how many ladies in my church watch you. I'm going to try and get us all together to do a group note taking from one of your videos. 👍🙏 Hugs🥰
Great video Faith! I’m a new subscriber and find your journaling methods and ideas helpful. Are all those books your and your husband’s? Looks like a wonderful variety of resources!
I finally caved and got an interleaved ESV Bible (that I found in a random store for 50% off!!! I felt like I was stealing it lol) and I am SO EXCITED to dive in with developing my style of Bible notes
Her journaling Bible is her main Bible she uses. She also uses study bibles for finding info to answer her questions as she reads her journaling Bible. So quiet time, patreon studies, Sunday morning church, vacation everywhere she uses her journaling Bible. Hope that helps.❤
Do you have any recommendations on prayer and journaling apps for iPhones? I watched Sister Rita and tried to do the prayer Bible like she did, which I did, but it isn’t working for me like I want. So I started a journal-writing my prayers, but kinda want to have them in an app.
I just bought a Journal the Word Bible, and I’m starting to add notes. It is so thick, though, 😳 What is the easiest way to write toward the bottom of the page when your hand has nothing to balance on? I hope that makes sense. Do you add another book under your hand, or do you do something else?
At the end of this video, you appear to have cardstock with tabs for Ps. 15 and 16 (I believe). Did you buy those or make them? You have tons of good ideas, Ty!
Can you do a video of how you cover up mistakes? Like you wrote down the wrong verse for a note you took or you sneeze and the pen goes all crazy. Things you want to cover up or correct
How thick are your pages? Does the added paper tear the Bible pages? I really like your style of journaling and would like to incorporate some of your tips.
My Bible is a hot mess of colors and notes but it works for my brain and I think that’s really important. Whatever works for us in our own Bibles. Doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. ❤
I would like to know what pen you use on your BIBLE PAGES that does not bleed. I bought Mr. Pen but it bleeds really bad (very frustrating because I spent a lot of time reviewing and thought they were the best, but they do bleed through pretty badly 😲)... they're fine for regular paper but not the bible pages themselves. I do see there are different kinds of Mr. Pens and wondered if I just chose the wrong one. I need one specifically for bible pages that will not bleed through. Can you please help me with this?
I decided I wanted to do more studying this year rather than reading. So, your channel got suggested to me and I got an interleaved bible to take notes and got totally overwhelmed with those big blank pages. I would have sent it back but I got the Bible from a nonprofit and don’t want to impact their mission. So, I’ve been thinking what am I going to do with this bible? I am Not artistic at all. I write sentences and bullet points when I take notes elsewhere, like I’m writing school notes. So, you’ve give me some drawings to practice on other blank paper and then I may try journaling the notes. I appreciate the tip on starting on the far side of the paper and working inward. I definitely would have done the opposite. I also appreciate the tip on how to draw the box after the note is done.
Slightly unrelated but i was wondering if you've read Mamma Bear Apologetics and what were your thoughts? Both of my siblings have walked away from the faith after not getting sufficient help when they were wresting with thier faith, and it is my hope to be in a better position to help my kids ( 2 and 4) if/when they have questions as they get older.
I would love if you could tell me how to request Bible manufactures to print a interleaved journal Bible in giant print. HELP ME, Not everyone can do large print ! Please help me/us out, I can not believe I’m the only one!!!!😢
You might consider just doing your notes in a separate journal for now. Also maybe search for a custom Bible. I don’t know if that’s a thing but maybe. If taking notes in a separate notebook, have a notebook for each book of the Bible so it’s organized. Just ideas.
I have a friend whose mother just passed and her Bible has 40 years of notes in it. She treasures it I know other people who have had Bibles for decades, and I can only hope that I am that prolific with my note taking
I noticed you have changed the cover of your Bible but what Bible did you originally start with was it the NIV the New King James or King James etc... Or is it a study bible
You want pens that don’t bleed through - sharpie no bleed pens (not sharpie gel or sharpie markers), or sakura micron pens are both great options. Sakura microns have a wide variety of tip sizes
It's an Interleaved Bible - I have one as well (purchased last year). I use the Crossway ESV Interleaved Bible. This is the one I have...I will say that last Fall it was only around $50 so you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere - this is just where I knew I could look it up quickly.
Faith I have an idea.💡 I need a large print but want an interleaved. I cant find one so I am wondering if the company that did your bible could take the large print that I buy and interleave it for me. Customize it . Could you give me the contact info for the company?
@@catherinejameswrites yeah I wrote this before I got to the end of the video. lol I can see why she thought it said Jim originally though! That whacky signature 😂
Could someone please help me find some good channels to listen to teaching on a certain book/ chapter of the Bible? Why are so many sermons like life coaching or Readers Digest articles? I just want Bible teaching + training.
I have grown so much from listening to the teachings of Zac Poonen and David Pawson. Zac Poonen has an app you can download. The app is called “Bible Study with Zac Poonen.” He has numerous studies like “Through the Bible,” “All that Jesus Taught,” “Verse by Verse,” etc. His UA-cam channel is under CFC India. David Pawson has a UA-cam channel with lots of playlists on various topics. He also has a website with all his teachings. I hope you can check these out. Also check out Bridgetown Church (Tyler Staton). Tim Mackie (The Bible Project) is another one.
Do you date your notes... as a form of reference to remind you of what you were experiencing in your life or study at that time? Or do you just remember?
Thanks Faith. I’m about 2 weeks into your channel and God is using you to aid me in truly studying the Bible for the first time in almost 18 years. THANK YOU!! I appreciated this how to so much. Some of us are "challenged" on the drawing skills. Haha... This made it simple for even me to do. ❤

Hi! I’m new to your channel and have to say I am so impressed with your channel! So cool.

Just Fyi, it’s Tim Holtz. Big card maker /creator. Really big in distressed stuff.
Love your tips!
Yes! It's Tim. But I couldn't tell if saying "Jim" was like an inside joke or something that I didn't get hahaha

❓❓ When do you use crayola crayons? You did mention you use them, but I am unsure of where they should or could be used.
I laughed out loud when you said “Jim Holtz”.
It’s driving me a little crazy lol
Hi Faith, I've been looking for a good Bible Journal, and I was wondering what you use?

Faith I have an idea.💡 I need a large print but want an interleaved. I cant find one so I am wondering if the company that did your bible could take the large print that I buy and interleave it for me. Customize it . Could you give me the contact info for the company?
It's Crew+Co, iirc.
Love your videos!
Ps, has anyone told you yet that his name is Tim? It’s Tim Holtz, not Jim! lol
She knows, that’s why she winked when she said his name.
😂🤣🤣😂 "Jim" Holtz... 😉😉🤭
