Hope you remember us, when you become the new big LoL guide maker (even though you kind of already are)!
Yea, I doubt many top laners can't duel her if they just rush bramble, she's like a mix of fiora and old aatrox both of which do little against a bramblevest rush. Only problem is that people don't know to do it
This champion is definitely underestimated. No matter how many times u die, u can always do something to help ur team with that high damage R and "balanced" w in mid/late game, while other champion maybe totally useless if they die too many times. I think this champion is ranked 5 because many player don't familiar with the matchup enough. In fact with ignite, she can beat so many popular top champion in early game.
If you dominate early game she will be very useful. The only way to stop her from being op late game is to have your jungler prioritize your lane because her E is only useful for outplay. Have a jungler that is good in early game duel and a top laner that is not very reliant on skills just like Tryndamere. A raging Trynda that hits level 6 before her can rip her apart so bad. I tried this strategy once and it worked, Gwen was useless late game. Make sure to punish her after using her Q cause she is a food to a raging Trynda after using her Q.
@@Mikey-uu8fi so you need 2 champ to make a champ useless? Well if you play top but don't play champ like trynda what can you do ? That's what I call broken.. I'm not surprised. Since release she has been strong but requires a modified play-style. I like her. A champ that can 1v9 but only if you can use her right. Like old Kindred.
The best part (or worst, it depends on your perspective) is that grievous wounds doesn't work that much against Gwen, since the healing she receives are small amounts, lots of them yes, but small. (sorry if I made a mistake)

With the highest ap I could get I got her passive to deal 12% of the Max hp as magic damage, R was doing around 101~% Max hp total just with the passive
The only thing I don't like about Gwen. Is the chase potential is so lacking being you are relying on your R to slow them down then your E. But if you don't manage to hit anyone and your W is down. Your going to get kited and your a target. Also she feels very clunky but I think that is what she is suppose to be being she is a doll.

I currently have 120 games, I play it jungle and mid and from the start I was always playing nashor. but for a few days now I have only been doing the rift and my games have clearly changed. as long as I have the leeching leer I win most of my 1v1s and start snowballing. if you can add to that a dark seal very early, the 1v9 can start

In fact, I would like all videos to have translation, if it takes a lot of work for you I can understand, with translation I can show people that they need to learn things advances from the champion
I think Gwen is good champion that we haven't seen in a while from Riot. She isn't broken and there are plenty of counters. You can't blind pick her every game and her kit is not overloaded. Riot seems to have this thing now that a champion needs millions of dashes etc. to be a good champion. If you compare her to 200 years of champion design Aphelios, Yuumi, etc. She is fairly well balanced. Riot's champion design and balance teams have many fuck ups, but let's acknowledge the few times they have done well and make the right decisions. Like giving Amumu a second q. I do hope she recieves the same playrate and ban rate as Auerelion sol, so I don't have to worry about other taking her or banning her.
@@helostories5017 Yes, she's the type of champ that can 1v1 a lot of top lane champs even when a level down and 0/7. And as the game goes on, she'll just continue to outscale. I once went 0/11 against Illaio, and could still 1v1 her with my ult while being 1-2 levels down. I could still 0-100 all in, and 6/2 rumble while being like 2/5.
Yeap exactly as shown. Tried solo her in Ultimate spell book str8 off as lvl 3 Urgot...... It was not an even trade. (yes already watched her video and know she is strongest lvl 1) Result : After I run out my W and the moment she lands her 2nd stacked Q with Conq..... dats some Darius Q shit. (back to base reset, lost 1st plate & 1 wave)
Thats why she's toplaner. All duelists are toplaners with few exceptions when they can also go mid, but it's usually cuz of balancing problems (hello midlane supports)
I love playing Gwen, y only issue is that her chase potential isn’t great, champion with a dash/flash can get away from her easily unless she also has flash, so being able to only fight every 300 is kinda annoying, and that’s not thinking about all the times you ha e to use flash as an escape
The nerfs really hurt Gwen. She gets destroyed by so many top landers now. Her early trading is gone and often games don’t last long enough for her to peak.

I do like to put at least some thought or effort into my comments, although that's absolutely nothing compared the to effort you put into these videos. Hope you remember us, when you become the new big LoL guide maker (even though you kind of already are)!
Who else is looking forward to the rift maker buffs?
Thank you for this. I, now, can properly play Gwen alongside my Diamond-rank friends even more. :)) kekw
>How KR Challengers Use Gwen (Doran Blade)
>Everyone else that did it outside KR: Are we a joke to you?

thanks for the video can feel the effort!
Life's really gonna suck when people start building bramble and exe into her.
In fact with ignite, she can beat so many popular top champion in early game.
what you mean "undersestimated"? She is hella broken
I went against a Gwen as riven, I beat her early games with short trades, at 15 minutes the match-up was literally impossible even if I had 3 kills and Gwen 0 and 30 cs more, she went rift and tanky items nobody in our team could kill her
@@vasileiosgkountas468 bronzie
@@poggers4392 yeah pls tell me more cancerkid
I'm not surprised. Since release she has been strong but requires a modified play-style. I like her. A champ that can 1v9 but only if you can use her right. Like old Kindred.
You can block Point and click ults like Darius and Garden with w if you time it right
Thank You sir, this was very helpful 💙
OMG this is so helpful.. me killing everyne with gwen in low elo.. and yet most of this is unknown to me XD
Me: aight we're playing Gwen
Autofill: are you sure about that
The best part (or worst, it depends on your perspective) is that grievous wounds doesn't work that much against Gwen, since the healing she receives are small amounts, lots of them yes, but small. (sorry if I made a mistake)
Heal reduct = 40%
If you heal 200 -> 120
If you heal 20+...+20 -> 12+...+12 = 120
Same shit
@@Jun-ug7vl yeah, but it's more effective for champions like Mundo or Aatrox
@@Jun-ug7vl Im not sure abt how de rounding is done but it could be a big buff or a big nerf to gwen
i mean imagine 30% reduction
100->66-67
10+10+10+10->6+6+6+6+6 or 7+7+7+7+7= 60 or 70 (depending on the rounding)
which is clearly not the same
@@gustavogancedo1413 im pretty sure riot takes into account decimals when rounding. Even if its not the case, 0.1 or 1 unit of damage is not even comparable to the standard riot buff/nerfs that they do, always buffing or nerfing by 20 at the very least. Also the comment was from 2yrs ago
Can you do a tips and tricks video for Wukong? I'd love that honestly.
She's extremely strong people just don't realise, her W is literally just a better xin Zhao ult.
worse xin zhao ult
@@pawepajak7142 sure it doesnt follow you around, but its a basic ability with way lower ce than xin zhao ult.
@@YourLocalPlagueDoctor Yeah but cant you tank stuff for people with Xin Zhao? With Gwen it goes through her right
@@YourLocalPlagueDoctor xin ult knock backs enemy that you choose with challange marks and you cant be damaged from outside while on gwen you cant be targeted
@@pawepajak7142 no, challenged enemies dont get knocked back, only non challenged gets knocked back. And even after they get knocked back they can walk back in anyways.
The god and savior dobby
Looking at this video and commentary section now that we are in season 12 is hilarious
LoL Dobby!
I remember a video analysis on Damwon vs G2?
Do you have it? If so, can you upload it? I can't find it anywhere.
I'm playing her since her release, and that's better when she's not so popular :) that's reduces the ban-rate :D
Oh, I wish I had the same ping as you. And then at 169 it is quite difficult to perform such combos. And so, Gwen (in my opinion) is one of the most underrated champions. Now it has also been weakened. Now she began to show herself worse in the forest.
4:55 The passive is amazing
Nice guide!
Could you make an Orianna Guide? pls, I'm starting with the champ and I would really love some tips
This is perfect video, thanks a lot
12:35 Garen is a free game I can tell u guys.
He cannot run and try to q at you cuz u get free sweetspot q on him, afterwards your cd's are lower and e and u can run him down if he chooses to spin you down
I’ve always used the Q E combo and the Q flash I thought everyone knew about that 😂😂
Goes into melee range vs Gwen. Surprised Pikachu.
I know that a lot of people go nashor's tooth first item. It provides AP, some AS and also an on hit AP scaling passive. Is going Riftmaker first better than going nashor's?
I currently have 120 games, I play it jungle and mid and from the start I was always playing nashor. but for a few days now I have only been doing the rift and my games have clearly changed. as long as I have the leeching leer I win most of my 1v1s and start snowballing. if you can add to that a dark seal very early, the 1v9 can start
@@herveflutix5538 Oh Ok! Thanks) Now I'll go Riftmaker first!
Hello, I'm from another country and I really like your work, I would like one of your videos to be translated (Portuguese) if it doesn't bother you, to have a better knowledge about the champion.
9:32 1/7 Gwen btw
Dang she's still a threat even though she's behind.
True damage
nice video!
Yeap exactly as shown.
Tried solo her in Ultimate spell book str8 off as lvl 3 Urgot...... It was not an even trade. (yes already watched her video and know she is strongest lvl 1)
Result : After I run out my W and the moment she lands her 2nd stacked Q with Conq..... dats some Darius Q shit. (back to base reset, lost 1st plate & 1 wave)
yo so is on hit lucian a good idea or na?
Can you please make a tips and tricks video for ezreal the other ones helped a lot
Now I get it! Gwen is a dueling queen.
Thats why she's toplaner. All duelists are toplaners with few exceptions when they can also go mid, but it's usually cuz of balancing problems (hello midlane supports)
We need Cho’gath tips and tricks
I love playing Gwen, y only issue is that her chase potential isn’t great, champion with a dash/flash can get away from her easily unless she also has flash, so being able to only fight every 300 is kinda annoying, and that’s not thinking about all the times you ha e to use flash as an escape
I've learned now to apply
The nerfs really hurt Gwen. She gets destroyed by so many top landers now. Her early trading is gone and often games don’t last long enough for her to peak.
so true😞
Weren’t a few people trying Divine Tsunderer on her upon release?
Can you do a rengar top vid?
Finally someone that realize just how broken her level 1 is! Its the same as wukong!
I miss old E attack range :/
2:10 As a Jayce main, i really felt that. Sadge
Did you know that jayce can't all-in kayle lv 1? (he can get a good trade in, but if he keeps going, he''s gonna die)
@@jasonchangdalekrule i don't, i havent played that matchup in a long time, I reallly think it depends on weather you go conqueror or not but idk
went up against gwen as gp and i felt like i had scurv
This video helps so much I went from so noob to Gwen to now a 70% win rate on her my tag is. Áni Na
yo u should make a video about nidalee ;p
she counters sylas so well
I feel like the only way to play Gwen is near death situations only
Nice video 🙂
2:40 sett all in with boneplating, walking through minions and didnt pop his pot and almost won.
Sett destroy gwen most of the time,in fact,he destroy every matchup
She also counters illaoi in my opinion. When I faced an illaoi even if her ult hits me the tentacles can’t reach inside the w area.
If the tentacles are not inside the circle they do not damage you. If they are inside they do.
Can you please make a Shen guide?
hi dobby please make lux or zoe or lulu guide kamsahamnida 😊
Can you do a sylas one :)
I knew Gwen had potential and wasn't bad, just that people hadn't figured her out yet. Also, she takes a lot of skill to play
And most importantly she looks balanced compare to Akali when released
@@lorem_ipsum2 she looks balanced. Litteraly how. Wins preety much every 1v1 also dominates teamfights
@@antjoz1928 i mean COMPARE to Akali lol she used to be immortal under tower and been top pick in competitive for a really long time
@@antjoz1928 Singed, garen, aatrox, pantheon, gnar, teemo, yasuo, yone, sett, riven, and fiora are all champions that demolish gwen in 1v1's. Singed sett garen and gnar are better team fighters, yasuo yone riven and aatrox are better melee carries, pantheon and fiora are better duelists.
Gwen isnt as strong as people think she is. Dont get me wrong she is strong against tanks but literally just pick singed, she has a 40% winrate against him.
8:35 gwens ult worked different back then or why would i atk minions?
