Important tips overlooked. His W. The W has a 0.25s time and doesn't activate until the cast time is completed. Often you should be pressing W before the enemy even hits you with CC. The W also heals % missing health. If you don't have the mana, save your W until you're lower on health to heal more total. Which order should you apply heals? W -> biscuits -> corrupting potion Finally. Your W removes effects including: Mordekaiser Ult. Exhaust (Slow only) Nocturne ult vision denial Lilia/Zoe DROWSY Silence/Polymorph/Disarm/Charm/Fear Graves W/Quinn Q. You cannot see enemies but it lets you see projectiles Nami W is removed completely, no CC is left Sett R entirely removed and 0 damage dealt if you are quick enough Tahm Kench R. (This actually isn't worth sometimes, as it still damages you) Urgot R Warwick R, it damages you, but Warwick cannot move, but you can. Malzahar R. You take damage, but it removes the suppress AND the magic resist debuff

My advice is for Yasuo Q3, focus sidestepping, it's quite a slow projectile, don't waste W, even if you do get hit. Yasuo R. You can W as soon as it hits you and the knock up is so brief you can walk away. Yone is much harder to play against. You need to track 3 cool downs. His E, his F and his Q3. If he has all 3, you need to stand as far away as possible (Literally off screen). On the bright side, once you set up a freeze vs Yone. Stand ahead of your wave and he can't break the freeze without tanking a barrel or 2. Since he can never charge Q3. Yone Q3. It's VERY important you sidestep this. If you do get hit, W as soon as he collides. DON'T W mid-flight animation. His knock up is 0.75s. Your W is 0.25 cast time. So you must cast during the knock up. Yone R. If he does this without Q3, simply sidestep it. If he casts Q3 -> R, there is a max of 0.3s to escape, which ISN'T long enough to sidestep the R. But it is long enough to flash. So W the Q3 when it lands, always. Flash when you see the R animation after he knocks u up with Q3. Final tip against Yone. Yone E -> Q3 -> Flash is unavoidable as GP. Nothing you do will make a difference. If Yone has E, F, Q3 charged and R ready, make sure to be ready to flash then R. If you don't have flash and he has E, F, Q3 charged and R, then you need to be sitting under tower. You can't outplay the combo as GP. For this reason, I always go lucidity boots + cosmic insight VS Yone, since GP NEEDS flash frequently in this matchup to escape Q3 -> R.
As a GP Main for almost 5 years, I've been playing like a complete monkey. In early, I always use barrels as main damage and not my passive. This video helps me correct my mistakes and improve my gameplay. Thank you for this.

gangplank is op in the right hand, and in low elo he can get extremly fed with almost no counter plat if not shut him down in lane properly. This video encourage me to become a better GP player
@@kaiern9619 He's not *that* difficult to play effectively, but just like Kallista or any other champ with wonky mechanics he takes a lot of practice and getting used to the champ which most people aren't willing to do to play a non meta champ. also he gets punished hella hard early game since he has no dmg and his mana costs are so high
2:30 The reason barrels are better to destroy with autoattacks in certain scenarios is different than the one mentioned in video. Yes, autoattacks are quicker, but they can be mistimed the same way Q's can. Barrels are better to destroy with autoattacks because then GP has his Q instantly available for poke or another barrel combo.

as a gangplank player i would like to say goodjob nice vid just one thing on the runes section never take biscuits futures market is insanely broken on gp because ur biggest item spike which is sheen can be gained at your first base after only 4 waves with good farming so always take this, it also helps if you die early and dont have enough for sheen to get a bad reset than with futures its a fixed
biscuit is viable every game while futures market is only good when you need it. If you´re a very bad player you can take it yea but if you have a 50%+ winrate I wouldnt recommend it

Gankplank is easily one of the hardest champs to learn, because you actually need to extremely good timing unlike many others where you can just faceroll on the keyboard and the enemy is playing gray screen simulator

for anyone having troubles with double barrel its pretty easy to do so.. for practice u max range q into barrel then when the q channeling u barrel at the edge of the barrel indicator like in the vids 0.27 and now when got the hang hang of it u can try doing this with different angle and else.
Okay, so I like Gangplank. But he's hard. REALLY hard. Watching this vid makes me wonder, how I thought Azir combos were hard. Done two games with GP now after half an hour of practice tool. Couldn't hit a single double barrel in real game action. It looks so easy when Dobby does it :D Extremely high skill cap champ, maybe that's why I've always been shy to play him. Let's see if I can improve, it doesn't get more helpful than this vid, thanks!
First game Aatrox... Second game was okay but didn't hit any combos. Third game 1/10 against Orrn who survived 3x with 1 hp and then stomped me with his jungler. Didn't land any combos. Was only one day, but I give up on GP. Probably a lot easier to do better with almost every other meta champ.

I've been a GP main since the rework. Here's some tips if you guys face a GP: Use Urgot. Don't think that GP can escape your ult, it's just a small prob and you just have to make him use W before ulting. Urgot can interupt GP's barrel combo just by pressing W. If you can't play Urgot, then there're still a lot of champs that can HARD COUNTER GP, such as Renekton, Yorick, Riven, Qqtrox,... as long as they have at least 2 CC ability, or simply have strong sustain and healing. P/s: If you want to practice GP, don't go for the prowler, take galeforce instead bc of the 20% crit, gap close (same as prowler), and simply better for nuking someone. Prowler is a good choice, but trust me, without the crit, the damage of the barrel is just a bit more than his auto attack

If you attack a barrel with sheen and it doesn’t explode, the damage WILL NOT be stored in the barrel, you just deal damage without sheen if it’s on cool down and you trigger it
BEST TIP: So I keep screwing up the simple Q + E combo HOW TO DO IT LIKE 100% OF TIME: I Go to settings > Hot keys > Cast the pressed spell upon pressing another spell. It should be easier to do now. Also, instead of casting Q and then quick placing the E afterwards, what you can also do is just E, then press q on the ignite barrel very fast. Thumbs up so everyone can see.

If you want to climb an carry games than that is the only build you should be using so that’s why he only covers that, unless ur vid like 2 shielded and 2 healers
@@refused-_-8491 GP isnt a 1v9 hypercarry. Maybe in low but not in high diamond+, there are times when i need to become a strong sidelaner or a guy with heal and shield reduc too. Gp's kit fits perfectly with this build path bc of the grear amount of aoe dmg he has, and not to mention the global heal/shield reduc with ult.
