Thank you so much, your video it’s very helpful. I think, I’m going to go with matte finish. I was very nervous to seal a painting that was given to me, I love it so much. I hope and pray to do a great job sealing it.
Hi, does the same method apply if silicone is used. If not, how do I clean the painting before sealing. Keep those videos coming, i really love them. You have inspired me to try pouring on glass as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Very informative! One question - Can you use this spray enamel over paintings with silicone in them? I recently painted a wooden plaque and put silicone in one of the 6 colors I used. I am a little scared of scrubbing the wooden plaque to remove the silicone oils, so if I can avoid that I'll try to. Do you think this enamel spray would work? Or should I clean it off with soapy water and whatnot first, like other sealing options? Thank you for your time, and thank you for sharing all of your wonderful art with us. Always learning from you :)
Thank you for the info...wish I would of watched this a day sooner. I did a small 8x8 canvas with deco art...I only let dry a week and did a spray, hope I didn't mess it up.. I also did a phone case do you think itll become tacky now that i didnt wait longer than a week?
I've been using the rustoleum as well but man... the stink. I always feel awful if I have to quick turn around and put one that is newly sprayed into a box for shipping because I know I'm packing in all those fumes with it.
Question! I like to spruce up my acrylic pours with flat-back pearls and rhinestone. If they have already been glued, what would be my best option for sealing? (I want to liven the colors). If I seal first, would gluing the items on top mess up the sealing?
Is there any way I can improve the way it looks when dried? I find it looks chalky wondering if its the product, paper I used or just looks like that? I want that glossy like when its wet.
Pretty painting! I bought your paint pouring book on amazon and it has been really wonderful for when I started out. I grabbed the rust-oleum spray, but the gloss clear enamel, they were out of the crystal clear enamel, will it still work the same?
I do acrylic pouring and have used a sponge brush to add the sealer. It’s not working as well as I thought. If I don’t use a spray sealer do you have another suggestion for me?
@@MixedMediaGirl I’ve been throwing away my foam brushes after I use them for sealing because if you wash them out in the sink won’t the leftover sealer start to clog up the drain. What would you recommend if not what I’m doing already?
I don't use silicone, but if you do you need to clean it first :) as long as it's fully cured you can clean it with soap and water, or several other methods
Perfect timing! I was just looking for information on varnishing and sealing. Thanks for this timely video!🤗
Wow, I had no idea one had to wait that long for the acrylic art to be completely cured!
Those brush strokes are maddening 😆
Thank you for the tips. it is much appreciated. I'm new to acrylic pouring, and this helps out a lot.
Thank you so much for clear and simple instructions. I enjoy your videos for being a novice
Thanks MMG. As always very informative!!
Great information Marcy for sharing 👍🏼💜💕

Love it! ❤I need to find your video how to seal the tumblers and vases again🙂
Thanks for sharing the info about sealing pours!

Thanks for all of this information!! 😍😍
Very useful and aesthetic!❤️
Thank you, this is very helpful! I have not done any acrylic pouring in atleast 4 years and I have forgotten most of the details.
Great Info as Always!

Awesome tutorial. Thank you. I love the pour you did in this painting. Is there a video of how you made that one. Thank you
Here you go :) ua-cam.com/video/YR-4udrYEQ4/v-deo.html
I've sealed a few with spray on, but in colder weather I've used liquid. Prefer the liquid and tilt like I would paints.
thanks for sharing - I have used the Satin too - love it :)
Thank you! That painting is gorgeous
I've sealed a lot of my wall art the same way

Amazing. Thank you so much. This was really helpful.
Is there a maximum size of canvas, in your experience, for using resin? I’m a noob and quite like some of my 16x20 canvases and want to seal them.
This was very helpful, thanks
Thanks!! Very informative!!
Thank you for the tutorial. ❤
I have a question. How long after varnishing can I pack it?.
If you don't use silicone, do you still need to clean your paintings before you varnish them? With resin OR with a varnish?
Hi Marcy, thanks for sharing this information. If you use the Satin or matte varnish, does it still bring life back to the painting?
I've been using the rustoleum as well but man... the stink. I always feel awful if I have to quick turn around and put one that is newly sprayed into a box for shipping because I know I'm packing in all those fumes with it.

Love your channel ❤️❤️
Which one do you use for a pour on a table top?
Stone Coat Countertops epoxy :)
Thnx for sharing!!!

Yeah the liquitix varnish leaves brush strokes and i dont like it. I only wait 2-3 days for the painting to dry not enough seems dry to me?

I’ve been using the stonecoat and it’s amazing 🤩
🤔
Please share a video to see the difference
Really appreciate this tutorial, thanks.
I wonder if you can tell me whether you can gat a resin that's not so glossy?
Stone Coat Countertops has a new top coat that is not so glossy, I'll be trying it very soon :)
You could use an offset spatula/knife to spread the topcoat then you won’t have brush strokes.
Thanks for the great info. How long until it stops smelling?
I do acrylic pouring and have used a sponge brush to add the sealer. It’s not working as well as I thought. If I don’t use a spray sealer do you have another suggestion for me?
Try watering down your sealer.
@@MixedMediaGirl ok do you have a suggestion for what type of tool to use for applying?
I'm sorry not really. I would use a foam brush but I don't use brush on sealers
@@MixedMediaGirl I’ve been throwing away my foam brushes after I use them for sealing because if you wash them out in the sink won’t the leftover sealer start to clog up the drain. What would you recommend if not what I’m doing already?
@@MixedMediaGirl my idea is to work smarter not harder.
What about wax for acrylic paint? Can you explain your opinion on this product to sealing the paints? Thanks
Do you have a video for yhr beautiful pour you showed at the start as I love it!
Yep ua-cam.com/video/YR-4udrYEQ4/v-deo.html
Gorgeous work! Do you have tutorial of it please? (Your painting)
How long does it takes a pouring painting to be dry? Ready to put a clear coat
It takes about 3 weeks :)
Will it keep the acrylic paint from melting in shipping
Acrylic paint shouldn't either way :)
When you use the rustoleum spray do you just do one coat or can you do more to make more shiny and glossy?
You can do as many as you want :)
Does this work on water colour canvas paintings?
can I apply resin on chart paper after varnish
What do you do with your painting when you have used silicone ?
I don't use silicone, but if you do you need to clean it first :) as long as it's fully cured you can clean it with soap and water, or several other methods
Thhank you very much and love your videos and your book.
Does this resin have a really strong smell? I just used resin for the first time and it was really strong.
I only use Stone Coat Countertops resin. It has virtually no odor. One of the reasons I use it. :)
@@tamaramccallan230 where can you buy it
They only sell "clear" rust-oleum where I live. Can that be used in place of "crystal clear"?
Probably, but I haven't researched that one :)
@@MixedMediaGirl Thank you :-)
So what if it’s too cold to go outside to seal?
Do you have a video showing how you seal with Stone Coat? If not.... pretty please!!
Yes, stay tuned tomorrow :)
Thank you, Marcy!
It did pop it thanks
Wait. So can you seal with the spray only?
Yep
My spray varnish liquitex gave me bubbles when it didn’t before. Am I doing something wrong?
I would contact liquitex about that :)
MixedMediaGirl.com now has her own line of paints and resin!❤️
Will you please compare the costs too?
Mix resin part A and part B?
Yes, though I suggest just following the instructions on the bottles of your resin. Every resin is different :)
@@MixedMediaGirl ty so much 👍
No problem :)
1st 😁👍
