- It appears me and single dosing can be friends after all! It’s like the Omega release all over again, I can confidently repeat what I said about the Omega - this is the single dosing experience I’m willing to accept. No retention, no bellows, no mess, incredible build quality, and excellent set of burrs producing excellent cup quality. For me personally, this is it. I do have a lot to say about the grinder, so don’t be shy and ask if you need to know something specific ☺️

Amazing set up
Any plans to post a full review?
Thank you! No plans, I’m not a reviewer 😄
very different design from other mazzer grinders! looks nice and robust. how loud is it?
I measured around 85-86dB while grinding, which is the same as my SJ V Pro, but more high pitched. The motor sounds a bit louder than my SJ V Pro. Thanks for asking! ☺
Where did you get that tiny tamper mat?
Which burrs did you get? How are your taste impressions of the Philos?
Hi Jakub, I got it with the I200D. It’s also the first set of Mazzer burrs that I prefer over my SSP sets and will actually keep on using. A little bit cleaner than my 64mm Lab Sweet clones, just as good at presenting acidity, shots taste sweet with little less bitterness in finish. I loved the Cast burrs for their characteristics, it was up until now my favourite set of 64mm burrs, but now I personally just don’t see the point of having and using these. It’s also dead simple to get good tasting shots with the grinder, very easy to dial in and retains literally nothing. No puffers or bellows, no hitting or rocking the grinder, what you throw in comes out. I also have the I189D set in the drawer, but to be honest, so far I haven’t felt like I need a different set of burrs in the grinder. I’m very impressed and very happy with the shots I get with it. Thanks for asking!
Will the Philos work with the Micra?
Hi Mark. In what sense?
Can you please advise where is that small tamping mat from? Thanks!
Hi Maksim, it’s just the rubber mat from one of my Acaia Lunars 😊
It's been a while, glad to have you back~
Your video is just soo soothing and relaxing
Wow! Thank you for the nice comment 😊
The prettiest coffee corner ❤
Almost finished 😄
How is the Philos? Was thinking about getting it as upgrade from Niche and DF83, but ended up with EG-1
It’s very nice!
Mazzer majpr next to the philos ?
Major V? Stop giving me funny ideas 😂
@@Jaroslav. but isn't it what you have already next to it ?
It’s my Super Jolly V Pro 😊
I wish it was bigger burrs, don’t you think?
Not really, I don’t see how bigger burrs would change anything in this use case.
Can the app show live temp. During coffee extraction?
Nope, only shows target temp and whether it’s at target temp.
@@Jaroslav. then how is know it is staple during extraction?
You can test it with Scace, or rely on tests others have done if you don't have a Scace.
@@Jaroslav. Have tried brewing with the steam boiler off?
Of course, it's unusable without it. The Mini is a HX hybrid, it won't hold temperature without the hot steam boiler.
Philos vs df83? Did you buy the philos or were you sent it?
I would never recommend or get a DF grinder, they represent everything I dislike about single dosing. There are far better larger burr single dose grinders out there. Sent to me by Mazzer as mentioned in the description 😊
@Jaroslav. I'd say the same tbh if I was sent one for free too
What would you say? I’m not sure you understood what I said.
@@Jaroslav. he's basically saying he's jealous
@jags3661 I would prefer an opinion from someone who got the grinder for free than from someone who spent their own hard earned money and is a "proud owner", they are the worst if you want an honest opinion. These “proud owners” quickly become defensive and want to defend their purchase as if it was their kid..
