      Culture will never die. It changes as nations get influenced by other nations. No one is immune. Either accept humanity is evolving or cling to a belief until your death. Either way, humanity moves forward. Nothing we create ever stays the same, even the wheel is better today than it was when invented.

      Its not ballet im from georgia and this georgian guy who is in video he says he is dancing in sukhishvili. Sukhishvili coach which is teaching dance combine georgian dance and ballet but its worse dance in georgia many georgians dont like sukhisvili because of they combine ballet so georgian dance needs more energy and movement than this shit ballet dance

    • @lalie9019
      @lalie9019 6 років тому +108

      lucas big oh, stop talking shit! "many georgians dont like sukhisvili"? are you out of your mind, or what? The majority admires Sukishvilebi because of their commitment to quality and originality. Only those obscurants, who are stuck in the past dislike them and their opinion as you may or may not know doesn't really matter.

    • @lalie9019
      @lalie9019 6 років тому +38

      Did I mention somewhere that keeping traditions means sticking in the past? Or, what makes you think that 'Sukishvilebi' aren’t keeping traditions? they're keeping the old and creating the new ones at the same time, which is absolutely normal - what's abnormal is an ultraconservative mob's uproar over innovations, that are considered as hazardous for the old traditions in their eyes.

    • @lucasbig4061
      @lucasbig4061 6 років тому +3

      @@lalie9019 listen to me.im from georgia and i know everything better than you about my country.not me you gonna stop talking shit.in youtube there is not any good georgian dance video uploaded but in georgia there is small gigs where georgians are dancing our traditional dance.you dont even know how real georgian dance is.in sukhishvili georgians are dancing georgian dance but combined to ballet so there is some georgian dance moves removed and thats why its looks worse than real georgian dance.real georgian dance is waaayyy better than sukishvili georgian dance combined to ballet.im learning georgian dance.i am adult i am 16 years old but my dance teacher wants more and more from me.so im practicing everyday in dancing.my dance teacher is learning me real traditional georgian dance and every part of my body hurts because of georgian dance needs more physical work than sukhishvili created "georgian ballet".i know ballet is hard too but in georgian dance there is harder moves than ballet moves.most of georgians dont like sukhishvili because of they are dancing little bit softly and most of georgian people likes old,traditional dance because its harder to dance but if you dance its more beautiful than sukishvilis "georgian ballet".

    I'm georgian and I danced for 9 years and performed on stage for 4 years.Yes,man dance parts seem hard but female dances are harder than you can imagine.The posture,dancing on your tip toes to seem like you are floating and sliding on the floor,quick movements and hard moves and plus you have to be graceful and beautiful.I don't study dance and perform anymore,but I still dance and remember everything I was taught

    • @m1sh474
      @m1sh474 5 років тому +86

      @nimmivids dude, I'm a general doctor, believe me, the constant movement is better for the body overall for your body than staying in your toes for long periods of time. I'm not dismissing the men dances, not at all, but saying dancing on your toes is not as bad as strong and hard movements of your whole body is ridiculous and ignorant. Please stop.
      ps: as you can see in the video, the men dance on their toes for short periods of time compared with the women. Bye.

      Tbh georgian dance is nothing like ballet (i say it out of experience. I did georgian dance for 8 years)
      Ballet focuses more on flexibility (whcih i never had and had to give up on dreaming about it because of that) while geoegian dance focuses more on motionfluid
      Ballet is performed mostly on toes (if im wrong pls correct me thanks) while georgian dance *does* involve it but does not focus on it as much as ballet so calling georgian dance "ballet" seems very wrong with me tbh

    I have been lucky to see the Sukhishvili group perform a couple of times in the past... a phenomenal performance each time! 👍 Having been a dancer myself, I can tell how much dedication and hard work goes into perfecting such movements and routines. 😅
    And it’s fascinating to see the similarities in the movements of dances across Asia and Europe (right from Japan, China, Russia to Thailand, India, Indonesia to Turkey, Georgia, Greece, Bulgaria to Ireland, Spain etc) To a layman, it may not seem so but a little study and research will show how much the gestures and movements overlap between various cultures which I find absolutely fascinating ....Dance and music are such universal “languages”! So glad to see these amazing artistes bringing joy to the world! Bravo! ♥️
