I'm child free by choice but I love other people's kids and I love watching people who want kids, become parents. This baby is already so loved, by you and your family. And us, as much as we can love a stranger's baby lol
The first feeling of a baby's movement feels like butterflies fluttering, and then the kicks get stronger. It is the most amazing feeling in the world!!!!
Feeling the baby kick is the most magical experience ever and so hard to describe to someone else. From now on, you’re going to be VERY aware of baby girl’s emotions as she grows. She may really let you know, for example, if she dislikes something you eat or the way you sit or move! It’s so amazing. I’m sure your family must be so thrilled for you both! Those trees at the end were just stunningly beautiful! Great video! ❤️❤️
You need to get some tunic length tops, Maggie, the bump will only push up regular length tops even more over the coming weeks! 😊 Such a fun video - the pics on the fridge, the first kicks felt by hand (it will only get stronger and soon you will see visible movement on your stomach as she gets bigger) the awesome food and pie (I bet it tasted wonderful!). I love deviled eggs, yum! And wow, the lights at Herr's are something else - those big 'showcase' trees wrapped so far up in lights are WOW! ❤🎄❤ Thanks for taking us along during your holiday!
Thanks for sharing. I've been watching your videos since my ostomy in July. I live south of you in Chester county, and actually grew up in Bel Air like Zach. Your videos have helped me through my recovery, and since I will be getting my reconnection surgery in a month of so, thanks for the ideas of donating my supplies. I've gotten some random ones that didn't work for me. Hopefully they'll work for someone else who needs them. You are such an inspiration. God is using your story to bless so many people.
It is so thrilling when you feel that baby kick! So happy for you Maggie and Zac and watching how touched you were when you felt it touched my heart too. Beautiful pie and deviled eggs. You have reason to be proud. ❤ Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for you and your channel.
Nice pie Maggie, and nicer belly🥰😁 It's so wonderful when prayers are answered. You two are going to be such great parents. Hope you make the most of the quiet this holiday season 🤣🤣🤣God Bless all three of you.💕🙏
Maggie, a little tip for pie crust dough… if you have a marble slab or any kind of heavy metal tray you can put it in the fridge before you roll out the dough and then put the dough on it to roll it out that way the dough stays cold. I have a matching marble slab and rolling pin set that I use specifically for rolling out dough on whether it is pie crust or cookie dough it works wonders! I have also used the marble slab to pour out my peanut brittle to cool it on.
Wow! Didn’t realize how close you are to me! We go to see Herr’s lights every year! I am also a little behind you in my pregnancy and am anxiously awaiting the first feeling of baby kicks, the best feeling in the world! I am 15 weeks pregnant with #4, I usually feel them by 18 weeks.
Hi Maggie, I enjoy your videos, baby's first kicks are something so very special. Tip for pie crusts: you have the first rule down pat - keep Everthing cool/cold: bench, rolling pin, pastry. There is no real need to freeze the dough, the fridge is just fine. No need to trim or prepare the bottom of the pie dough in the pie dish, that is done once the lid is put on. To make it easy to move the dough once rolled out, roll it onto the rolling pin and then roll/drape it over the tin or pie once filled, depending on which stage you are at. Brush the edge of the pie crust with milk or egg wash, then place the lid on. Now is the time to jazz up the edges of the pie: trim off excess pastry with a knife by holding the pie dish underneath with your hand in the air, using the knife and using a saw like action, cut off excess. Use fingers or thumbs and pressing in to shape, use a fork around the edge or a spoon to decorate and make the pie look special. Using a pasrty brush with milk, water or eggwash once again, then sprinkle with raw sugar and bake. Tried and true tips from this old lady 😊 I look forward to the next episode. I wish we had thanks giving in Australia, I love the way you explained it, a time of getting together with family and friends without the expectations of present giving. Xxxx
Maggie, your excitement is contagious! This baby girl is so blessed to have such amazing, loving parents. I can’t wait to see you both this time next year! Seeing your child experience new things is so exciting and fun! Praying for you daily! Thank you for making me smile!
Beautiful pie! Cute turkey earrings…so sweet the dog gets to go to dinner at Zach’s dads. Thank you for sharing the Christmas lights..so magical❤😊I cried with you on the baby kicks🎉😂
So exciting to feel the baby move! I'm glad you were feeling well and so could enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. That was a beautiful pie you made! And the lights were so pretty. Perfect ending to the day! 💜
I absolutely adore you two(3) so much! Thank you for giving me memories of my 1st Thanksgiving with my husband 51 years ago. He was stationed at Bethesda Navel Hospital. He had duty that Thanksgiving so I went to the Hospital to have one the best Thanksgiving’s I will ever remember. We were so far away from our families but we celebrated with everyone on duty at Bethesda. 3 years later we had our 1st baby girl there. Thank you sweetie, your pie looked delicious and I had a good cry when you shared your first kick. It’s gonna be fun watching you. I had a very difficult pregnancy but with our Navy Families support we pulled through. I share you with my husband and he kissed me on the forehead and said, “gee, Kaydie, she sounded just like you did!”Thankyou my sweetheart. I had a rough year and you always put a smile or emotion in my heart that gets me through the rough ones. 💙💙💙
I missed the baby kicking the most too and all his movement.. but I only felt like "butterfly flutters" at 4-1/2 months.. Maybe because I had a tilted uterus? So happy to see your progress, Maggie. Prayers 🙏🙏for you and the little one. xx
@@sandraadams4940yes, lol My longest baby 21.5 inches used to hook her foot under my ribs. I couldn't move when she did that until a was able to work it back down. It felt like it was stuck between my ribs. All worth it😊
What a lovely video ❤. All the best is happening and so happy for you. Thank you for sharing the pie making ❤ loved that! And the lights were just beautiful 🎄.
Everything was perfect!!! From sharing your happiness over feeling baby girl move to your enthusiasm about your beautiful apple pie. The light display you took us through was stunning. Thank you Maggie for sharing your Thanksgiving with us!!!
@LetsTalkIBD Yeah, we got an annual pass last year and were going alot for the free concerts, then I had my surprise surgery. The new conservatory looks nice.

Fantastic on the pie! So happy and excited for you guys...enjoy your pregnancy journey!! (Yep, cute earrings) 😉 Lots o' lights at the Herrs's factory...ooooo pretty! 😁
Thank you so much for taking us along with you, Maggie and Zak! Your pie looked gorgeous-I bet it tasted great, and everything was home-made with love! (Just like baby girl!) Isn't it the most wonderful feeling to feel her little kicks? I missed that once my babies were born. I loved the Herrs Christmas light tour, ( I think Bruno enjoyed it too!), and the musical accompaniment was lovely-thank you! Happy Thanksgiving! (We had ours on Oct.12th here in Canada-our food looked the same as your family's table...yum!
Thank you for giving to those less fortunate and struggling ❤❤ your heart is beautiful and that's a true gift But if you get thousands of packages I know you will donate what you don't need ..either way thank you xox
I got Erin McDowells book of pie and her instructions for rolling out were a game changer! She says push only from center out in all directions and it works so much better than the back and forth attack I used to do 😂
Thanks for sharing your pregnancy journey with us. I'm overjoyed to see you experience those special moments as baby girl continues to grow. Good job on the pie!
Love sharing this special time with you. It’s such a joyful time in your lives. What a wonderful blessing to witness your body working properly for a change! Us Crohnies have to really celebrate when that happens. So happy for you and Zak!🎉🩷🤰👶
Your pie looked amazing!! Loved the Christmas lights!! Super excited that you are feeling Baby Girl move!! It’s so cool & amazing!! It will really be exciting when Zak feels her & when y’all are able to see her move!!
What a great video Maggie…. I remember being able to feel my babies kicks for the first time! It’s so amazing. Loved seeing all the Christmas lights and your Thanksgiving food looked so good! Your pie looked Delicious too! Great job girl!!!!❤ sending hugs!
Nice lights at the chip factory. I don't recall having seen that kind of detail of lighting on hardwoods. I'd never even heard of Kerr's. They owe you a Christmas present. Keep up the good work, you two!
That pie 🥧 came out gorgeous! Little tip for peeling boiled eggs, use a spoon to go under the shell and it helps with those stubborn ones that have like that "skin" that sticks to the egg. Baby bump looks cute and thank you for the lights❤.
I love hearing about the food you're making and your thought process behind everything. Also so cool that you're cooking with food from your own garden.
🦃 Happy Thanksgiving to you & Zack & the little one, your family and everyone 🦃 Maggie, you did an AMAZING job on the pie!! You're hired as the Official Pie Maker!! 🥧 The lights, omgosh, they are beautiful & bright and how the pup put out his noggin to see what was going on, ADIRABLE!!! Just think, this time next year, you'll have a little one watching those lights!!! 🎄 🎅 🧑🎄 The pictures on the fridge of the sonograms, awww 😢🥰 Feeling the baby's movement is so powerful & precious rolled into one. Make sure you mark down the dy you felt that in the baby book & on the calendar. ❤
I found you from the ectopic video as I had an ectopic topic too and felt alone and fell in love with you and your content after. I too am pregnant again and all is well. Here's to our rainbows coming and a healthy uneventful full term pregnancy ❤😊
I love this whole video. The self doubt during the pie making process was a hoot. I related to that 100%. There’s always a glitch with everything I try to bake. Also kudos on the choice of music playing through the Christmas lights segment, I really enjoyed it. Love following your journey. 💞

Here's my fav pie crust recipe for a double-crusted pie (from america's test kitchen) copy and pasted bc it's behind paywall: info: We wanted to make pie dough that was tender, flavorful, and consistent. Since water bonds with flour to form gluten, too much of it makes a crust tough. But rolling out dry dough is difficult. For a pie dough recipe that rolled out easily, we use a unique mixing method that "waterproofs" much of the flour so that it can't be hydrated and form gluten. We also use some vodka, which is just 60 percent water, and therefore produces less gluten. It contributes no alcohol flavor, since the alcohol vaporizes in the oven. ingredients 2 ½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour (12 1/2 ounces/354 grams), divided 1 teaspoon table salt 2 tablespoons sugar 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), cut into 1/4-inch slices ½ cup chilled solid vegetable shortening, cut into 4 pieces ¼ cup vodka, cold ¼ cup cold water * This dough will be moister and more supple than most standard pie doughs and will require more flour to roll out (1/4 cup must be used to prevent the dough from sticking to the counter). Directions 1. Process 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, and sugar in food processor until combined, about 2 one-second pulses. Add butter and shortening and process until homogenous dough just starts to collect in uneven clumps, about 15 seconds (dough will resemble cottage cheese curds and there should be no uncoated flour). Scrape bowl with rubber spatula and redistribute dough evenly around processor blade. Add remaining 1 cup flour and pulse until mixture is evenly distributed around bowl and mass of dough has been broken up, 4 to 6 quick pulses. Empty mixture into medium bowl. 2. Sprinkle vodka and water over mixture. With rubber spatula, use folding motion to mix, pressing down on dough until dough is slightly tacky and sticks together. Divide dough into two even balls and flatten each into 4-inch disk. Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 45 minutes or up to 2 days.
Hey there; just wanted to let you know:that as a retired sous chef/line cook ( yeah,I kinda got started late in my career) that pie dough can be really forgiving as long its not manhandled. Loved the tour. Can't wait to meet your little one when the time comes (and I'm a grandpa;in case you're wondering, YES,I'm just as excited as you are)
A suggestion on so many Honeynut squash is you can bake some & use it for making pumpkin pie. Just scrape out the cooled baked squash and blend in the blender with the eggs or milk for the pumpkin pie recipe. It’s better than using canned pumpkin.🎃
Ooh my goodness! I’m so happy to see your happy face too! It was a beautiful video for Thanksgiving 2024❤❤❤, beautiful Christmas lights too. Enjoyable absolutely.
FYI we call that a Latice top. I usually use my thumb and first two fingers or a fork to the scallop the edge of the crust. Hope you and Zak had a great time at his Family’s house.
Your pie looks delicious! I am much better at cooking than baking. Love going to Herr’s to see the lights. I lived in the Bel Air area for about 20 years, but now live farther south in Baltimore County. Still worth a bit longer drive to see them. Enjoy this holiday season as a mama-to-be 😊

ingredients
2 ½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour (12 1/2 ounces/354 grams), divided

2 tablespoons sugar
12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), cut into 1/4-inch slices

I was in awe when I first felt my baby kick. just the greatest feeling. Just two cells coming together, make this master piece.
Love your fridge ❤!!😅I'm guessing 7 ultrasounds so far. Cool that you felt her!!
I think it's been around that many! :) running out of space on the fridge 🤣
❤ it!! I'm so happy for you!!! I'm 8 weeks, crohn's also. I hope I can make my fridge look like yours. Much ❤ alway's!
Great job on the pie 🥧!!!😅❤
Hey there; just wanted to let you know:that as a retired sous chef/line cook ( yeah,I kinda got started late in my career) that pie dough can be really forgiving as long its not manhandled.
Loved the tour. Can't wait to meet your little one when the time comes (and I'm a grandpa;in case you're wondering, YES,I'm just as excited as you are)
Love, love the lights!❤
Happy Thanksgiving to you the puppy checking out the little ght was adoreable
A suggestion on so many Honeynut squash is you can bake some & use it for making pumpkin pie. Just scrape out the cooled baked squash and blend in the blender with the eggs or milk for the pumpkin pie recipe. It’s better than using canned pumpkin.🎃
Ooh my goodness! I’m so happy to see your happy face too! It was a beautiful video for Thanksgiving 2024❤❤❤, beautiful Christmas lights too. Enjoyable absolutely.
So happy for you both! You're going to be amazing parents.
Those lights were so gorgeous!!! And your pie looked delicious!
Enjoy this holiday season as a mama-to-be 😊
I’m so impressed with your pie. I’m 63 and bake a lot but have never made a pie.
Love the joy you’re experiencing ❤
I spent my pregnancies with my hands on my tummy, loving those baby kicks so much. I felt like Mother Earth🧡.
So cool to see a fellow canner! Aren't the baby kicks amazing? You're still glowing, btw
Pie crust looks good
Remindes me of my mom's pie crust. Happy memories. Hope it turned out great
Thankyou for the Christmas Light☃️display😊beautiful
enjoyed your video, so special you felt your baby girl kick, so are you saying you forgot the deviled eggs, I love deviled eggs.... Thank you both for sharing the lights, use to do that in my younger days, meant so much to me...
