You nailed it Seton Hill 🎯 It was definitely raw back in day before all the nice toys they got today with Gates processors echoes and reverbs triggers subwoofers surround sound effects etcetera if you hear them do this song today Steven Tyler play most of that guitar work on piano today just saying , but yeah Love me some MIDNIGHT SPECIAL 🎯🔥🤟🏼🔥💯 ACDC , TED NUGENT, BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE , FOGHAT , CARS , ELO ,
I WISH I had been able to go to an Aerosmith concert. Back when this one was first played live, it was 1971, and I was definitely "into" the band. I was not quite 22, my oldest child was three, and my next one down wasn't yet a year old, so they (and their younger sister and brother, later on) grew up listening to Aerosmith, along with Three Dog Night. My favorite of theirs (released on September 30, 1971) was "Never Been to Spain." Thanks for the reaction, Steven! 😀
I've seen them in concert. My little brother took me for my birthday one year because he knew how much I love them!! I have an awesome brother! Aerosmith has been my favorite band since I was 13-14 years old. Steven is so talented, he wrote this when he was 17.
….. I’ve had the privilege to see Aerosmith over a dozen times in my life ! There from my hometown of Boston. “Bad Boys Of Boston” all between 1977 - 1989. Back in the day they would play the Boston Garden on New Years Eve in multiple years ❤️🎸🔥
One of the bands I have seen most often also. My first concert was Aerosmith and my friend back out for some reason I can’t remember so I went by myself. Was supposed to see them in November in Omaha with The Black Crowes (the other band I have seen the most and I have met both bands at different times) but I guess not now unfortunately 😭
I’ve seen them many times that I can’t even count! My first concert ever was Aerosmith in Columbus Ohio. In the mid 90’s, I was going to their show in Omaha Nebraska and getting to the venue early which hadn’t opened the doors yet, I went across the street to a hotel to visit the men’s room which was in the back of the hotels restaurant which at first appeared completely empty of customers or hotel guests. After rounding a half brick wall, there sat the entire band having a late lunch or early dinner! I met the whole band. It was just them and me! I’ll never forget it! The story actually goes further but to much to type lol.
1st concert, Providence Civic Center October 1975, I was 16 years old. My ears were ringing for three days. It was Great. Train Kept a Rollin' and Toys in the Attic are the most memorable songs.
i graduated high school in 1976, and this was our class song! i had never heard it before until i played it during the morning announcements at the end of 1st hour! (yes, myself and a guy named Bill did the daily announcements my senior year!) it unanimously won and was played at our graduation! wonderful memories of this song!
I am like you I only have only listened to him later in his life and he certainly can hit those high levels even now in singing it can be a cat growl or rock scream but it’s all a part of singing when people saying his screaming his not! It’s a part of singing you can hear a bit of vibrato that shows his singing!! My rant over 😂 LOL my favourite is Don’t a miss a thing! I love Steve’s voice in that song.
My aunt took me to my first rock concert when I was 13 years old to see my favorite band aerosmith! It was in 1978 draw the line tour, the band before Aerosmith was a little band called AC DC with Bon Scott they were on their power age. The next day me and my brother went and whatever ACDC album they had in stock. Needless to say we were blown away what a great night Aerosmith and ACDC
I saw Aerosmith in concert back in 1985-86 in Evansville, IN when they were touring for the Done with Mirrors album. It was an excellent show and the opening act believe it or not was Ted Nugent. Two amazing shows for the price of one. I really appreciate your coverage of all these great songs from my youth. I'm 58 and you're bring back a lot of great memories. Also, I love these raw live performances too. I subscribed because I really enjoy your videos and love your enthusiasm for the music. Keep up the great work!

I had a feeling you'd do this one next. I figured it'd be either this or Train Kept A Rollin'. The Midnight Special...as far as I know, they'd just let bands do whatever they want, play as loud as they want, etc. When Cheap Trick was on, the drummer had these big cartoon-looking drum sticks and a lit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. You'd never see that going on today. These days, Steven is recovering from a bad throat injury. I think they said it was a broken larynx or something to that effect. They're supposed to be going on tour soon. About 18 years ago when I was going to school in Boston, every day, I used to walk past the building where Aerosmith's first album was recorded and I had no idea of the significance of the place at the time. It's right near Newbury Comics on Newbury St.
Haha 🤣 Not at all! And I love how the performances from The Midnight Special are just raw and uncut! They leave in things like speaker feedback, mistakes, or whatever!
You absolutely must check out Post Modern Jukebox featuring Morgan James of this song, I can't stress it enough. Even Steven Tyler was impressed with her. I miss The Midnight Special show. They had some of the greatest performances. If you haven't already, look up Linda Ronstadt doing "You're No Good" on Midnight Special.
@setonhillstudios yeah Steven is great his voice is so distinctive and as soon as you hear it you know instantly who it is and they were great to see live in the late 80's early 90's
@@setonhillstudiosUnfortunately they just announced (Aug 2024) that they will not be touring anymore due to the injury to Steven Tyler's voice. So they are retiring😢, Legends!!!!!
My former girlfriend saw them about 6 years ago, she's got a prefect ear and tells me Tyler just sounded more mature but didn't miss a pitch (within capacities of live performance with no auto-tune), only screams were a bit sharp at times and a abit flat ot others.
in this video Steven looks like he could be today's his own daughter uglier daughter. He was 26. What should you check out? Walk this way (both: original and the one with Run DMC), Sweet emotion, Draw the line, and three albums in entirety: Permanent Vacation, Toys in the Attic, Get a Grip. Everything else is optional.

Three Dog Night is a band I need to check out more! Thanks for sharing Linda and have a great day! 😄
Steven Tyler wrote this when he was 17. Just amazing
Yeah, I think it was in '96 at the north Charleston coliseum in south Carolina, no opening act, just 2 hrs.of jamming.
Super cool! 🤘🏻

Dude you gotta check out Aerosmith Rocks. " Back In the Saddle "🎸😎🔥
Thanks for the suggestion! 🎶
Steven is 26 years old here. It's hard to wrap my head around how young they all are here.
I know right! I have never seen him this young!
70s Aerosmith is the best.❤
Such a great band!
Yep. Seen them several times live. Got some good snaps of Steven with his scarf wrapped around his mic.
Oh cool! I bet that was a blast! 😄

That’s awesome! Such a great memory I’m sure! 😁
Back when tickets were 7 dollars
You can't go wrong with Areosmith. Still preforming in their late 70's now. You have a whole lifetime of music to cover in the 70's 80's and 90's
No longer touring due to Steven Tyler's damaged vocal chords.
Saw them in 70s and later

My very first concert! 1974 Dallas
Made a lifelong fan! 3:45
My first concert also but Columbus Ohio

Yeah, he kills it on that tune! Such a great voice! Thanks for watching! 😁
aerosmith came out the same year i started high school.
1972.
I really like this song, even though I’m not a big Aerosmith fan.😺
This song is such a banger!! Thanks for watching and have a great one!

This is one of my all time favorites ❤ I grew up listening to Aerosmith.
Such a great song and this performance was great! 🔥

Appreciate the suggestion and the link!
Have seen Aerosmith several times from the late 70s to the early 2000s. Great show everytime!🔥🤘😎
Oh I bet it’s a blast! They are definitely crazy talented!
I saw them in early 80’s with Journey, Sammy Hagar and Bryan Adam’s then in mid-80’s with Ted Nugent
I saw them with Ted also!
Steven, my mom always said, "I can't sing but, that'll never stop me."
Love that attitude! 🤣

He wrote this song at the young age of 19
To write a tune this great at such a young age is unbelievable!

Been there when the Lightning Strikes tour in San Antonio in the 80’s
There finally farewell tour ended January 2024
I wonder if they will have another “Final Farewell Tour” like so many other bands do! 😂

@@annaandgary1 Can’t blame them! That had to take a toll on their bodies after all these years! Legends indeed!!! 🔥
My fave Smith song is Last Child. Drummers might want to listen to Train Kept a Rollin

Please react to Spiders by System of a Down, It's my all time favourite song
Just now got to this so obviously disregard my earlier comment lol.
😂🤣 No worries!
