- Fitting the genuine Ford ISOFIX fixing kit to a Ford Focus MK2 and MK2.5. The kit is cheap and easy to fit so you can be safe with an ISOFIX or latch car seat for your little one.
Here I'm using the Mountain Buggy Protect car seat with the ISOFIX base.
This install relates to important safety related equipment and should be left to a professional if you are in any doubt as to how to accomplish the install. This is not a DIY video and is for entertainment purposes only.

Thanks for the video - also worked on my 2012 Ford Focus MK3 that didn't have ISOFIX as standard.
You're a clever bugger for sure. That's your part of the job done but I do reckon Mrs Badgertronix is the actual clever one in this case.

Hello! great job, i only have one question, there is no place to hook the 3rd hook that normally goes behind the seat onto a 3er hook, how did you solve that? or just ran the car seat with the two isofix from the bottom only? thanks!

The "Top Tether" sticker that you show - do you know why it's there? I cannot find a top tether mounting point in my 2008 Ford Focus hatchback, even though Top Tether is discussed at length in the manual. Super confusing.

I was estimating the bolts should be torqued to 35NM/26lb ft, as the lower seatbelt bolt and the front seat lower anchor bolt are also torqued to that spec. What do you think?
That's probably somewhere close to what it should be. I just did it by feel. Cheers

Video is 1 1/2 years old now. Would be good to revisit the bolt tension to make sure they haven't vibrated loose. Keen to know if you find any issues? Loctite maybe?
The bolts came with loctite on them. No issues in the 3 years I ran them. Don't have that car anymore

Minivans are coming back intwo2 vogue.
Kids now a days are driven two2 school in SUV's.
So young kids that are seen in their mama's SUV are not gonna buy a SUV when they get older. Minivan's are a great value.
