The story is Jeremiah was always the evil twin, he was just good at hiding it. He used to abuse Jerome and get to turn the family against Jerome and Jerome was innocent. Jerome then became a sociopath and the events of Jerome happened. Jeremiah hid the evil and Jerome used the gas to Truly show Jeremiah’s true colours. Jerome was just a victim who sadly turned evil, Jeremiah was just plain evil from the beginning.

I think that in season 5 Jeremiah is going to slowly become more insane and start seeing Jerome and then eventually their personality’s merge and the laugh comes back and thus he is the perfect joker. :)

Okay so basically Jeremiah wants Bruce to come over to his side because “he’s the brother he never had” and he thinks that torturing Alfred will push Bruce over the brink into insanity or as Jeremiah likes to put it: “true sanity”. So Jeremiah kidnaps Alfred and brings him to this underground hideout where Bruce has to go through a labyrinth-like building while seeing videos of Alfred being tortured projected on the wall. Little does Bruce know, insanity gas is filtered through the building, so who he thought was Alfred being tortured was actually just one of Jeremiah’s henchman who kinda looked like Alfred. So Alfred is okay don’t worry.
I personally like Jeremiah he's cool, calm, very handsome, and very smart and intellectual. Plus, he's super obsessed with Bruce Wayne. Just like the Joker from the Comics. I absolutely love it.

Most of what you said isn't like the real Joker. Jerome may not be "cool, calm, or very handsome" but he's more of a Joker since joker is more chaotic and insane.
I don’t know which Joker character I prefer. Jerome was more fun, but Jeremiah is more calculating and cold. And before anyone says anything, yes, I know the neither of the Valeska twins are said to have ever been the Joker, but I still see them as the first two people to have taken up the mantle. Jerome was the first, and Jeremiah is the second.

The way Jeremiah looks at 6:03 makes me think exactly of the Joker. I don’t know if Jeremiah will be the Joker in the end but he looks way more like the Joker than Jerome did, even though I absolutely loved Jerome’s new face.
I think that Cameron is a really good Joker and it would be a pity if the actual Joker doesn’t end up being played by him.
I think the dark spots on the TAS Joker are from the permanent bruises by Batman and Gordon punching him

@@Zlik. Well in the beginning Jeremiah did have a reason . He wanted to blow up Gotham to rebuild it in his own image . But when his plan in One Bad Day failed, he killed his followers because they questioned his leadership . Also in One Bad Day, he wanted to drive Bruce mad, just to make Bruce into a sociopath, like himself, like the brother he never had . In season 5 the reason he messed with Bruce with trying to replicate the day his parents died is because he wanted to be bonded with Bruce like a brother ( but I think Jeremiah wanted to be more than just a bro for Bruce, I'm not shipping them but still, it seems obvious ) . In the finale Jeremiah kidnapped Barbara Lee because he wanted to enact revenge on Comissoner Gordon . So he did have reasons to his actions . But I see your points . However the one who wanted to watch the world burn was Jerome . His qoutes in 3x14 about the people of Gotham having desires to do sadistic things is similar to Heath Ledger's Joker's qoute about society in the interrogation scene in the Dark Knight . He tried to kill Bruce Wayne, because Bruce was possibly the only hope for Gotham to get better, if he died, chaos ensues . In That's Entertainment when Jim Gordon tried to reason with Jerome, Jerome just blew up the Comissoner's head up . Even Penguin himself said it himself in 2x03, Jerome just caused chaos for the sake of chaos . Jerome didn't look for anything logical or reasonable like love, power of money, he couldn't be brought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with . He just wanted to watch the world burn . Jeremiah did the things he did to get closer to Bruce, while Jerome just did the things he did because he loved doing them .
It only takes one bad day, to drive a man insane.

There is just something missing. Jeremiah is so close to being the proper Joker, but something is wrong.
He doesn't laugh. He doesn't enjoy his plans being carried out. He doesn't enjoy being under the leagues thumb.
He needs to break free and learn from Jerome to enjoy the madness.

I think Cameron Monaghan is for now be the best JOKER Actor ( Joaquin Phoenix we will see?). He plays two different Joker Characters like Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter with a voice like Mark Hamill in the Gotham series. And he is only 25 years old !!!

I agree, Cameron Monaghans' acting as the Joker is really a Masterpiece. Heath Ledger really made the character give it the insanity and looks that it need it and I thought no one could ever replace and go beyond that... but this... this is way over our heads and brilliant how he give it more deeper meaning of the character itself including the little details like twitching and everything...

I remember when Jerome was being introduced everyone was mad they were giving a backstory to the Joker. With Jeremiah, they fixed that. Now we aren’t too sure if it was actually the toxin that turned him this way? Was he always like this? Or maybe it could’ve been also his upbringing and obsession of hiding from Jerome that made him crazy? He himself said that the toxin didn’t really do much so it’s good now that we have this unknown cloud of how Jeremiah ended up like this
There's was a Tales From the Crypt episode where they had this little transmitter that uses a frequency for power of suggestion but they also explain that it can't change anything or make you do anything you don't wanna do, just enhances what's already there.
Might apply here too: Jeremiah already had...'something' deep within himself, Jerome just brought it out to the surface.
If we combined Jerome's laugh and insanity with Jeremiah's intelligence we could have the most powerful, evil and popular vilain of all existence

Jeremiah is like Joker from comics. Jerome is like Joker from movies.
I love both Jokers. Jerome was fun and entertaining and Jeremiah was more of a psychopath than Jerome. Cameron did an amazing job at playing both Jokers. He showed how talented he really is and i don't think anyone else would have been able to play both Jokers the way Cameron did.

Icewallow Come Only on the Gotham Show universe. On the comics it was never really conffirmed from where Joker came from, since he always changes his own history when he tells it to someone, and even when we see his flashbacks it's not something you should trust since we are seeing what he want us to see.
Also on the comics it's said that almost every Batman enemies where born because Batman was born, this includes the Joker, he even states multiple times that Batman is what makes him be the Joker. So basically none of Batman villains would exist If Bruce never became a hero. The only one who was already a villain was the Penguin since he was the crime king of Gotham, the rest where only transformed into villains when Batman became a hero.
What’s surprising is that the creators said that Jeremiah isn’t the Joker!! But he’ll inspire the man who becomes the *actual* Joker, which we do not get to see since the show will end with the final two episodes
