Is it really that bad that Jeremiah is similar to Hannibal Lecter? The Joker and Lecter are very much alike in their psychology. wrong. Unfortunately instead of doing that, they made him remember everything, he's still incredibly smart but imo he should've forgotten everything. But Jeremiah and Joker from Batman Beyond Return of the Joker are some of the most intimidating Jokers but I don't think they really fit the character. They make for very well written and intimidating villains and Jeremiah has his place in history as an amazing villain. As for Beyond Joker's design, it's good from the head up, the red eyes and gelled hair taken from Hannibal Lecter from the book. The body suit I'm not too fond of, they should've just went with black. or even a red shine. Not a purple shine. Idk the purple suit works because it's reminiscent of royalty or a jester or it's making FUN of suits with such a bold and wacky color. That's not the original intention behind it being purple ofc, it was just to make the character stand out so I guess it works but I think purple looks better on a 1940s Joker than the way they did it in Batman Beyond. Idk they probably could've picked a better outfit. Just my opinion because so many comic characters have that color scheme. Characters change and so should color schemes if it serves the character and mostly the story. Idk point is, Jeremiah is a very well written character although he was boring to watch in season 4, he could be pretty menacing if it was done right. He is menacing in a lot of these scenes. Really a perfect character but not The Joker. Ledger still wasn't that serious. He still laughed and told jokes. So did Jeremiah but he works as a POSSIBLE proto Joker and a VERY VERY good villain. He is the sociopath not Jerome. Jerome cares for noone. He's a psychopath if any of them are. And Jeremiah is the sociopath if either of them are. He cares for his mom and Bruce. Jeremiah is one of the greatest villains I've seen, he's just too SMART to be The Joker. HE should not have been the one to create No Mans' Land. At least not alone with only Raas. Lex Luthor would be more fitting. Or Riddler since they could use him.

I didn't really care much about Jeremiah's intial transformation in season 4. But I'll have to say. His overarching evolution made him pretty damn interesting.
He has the potential to become the real joker. People are judging his acting without even watching gotham, of course he‘s not fully going to be like the joker, since he is I believe only developing into his full potential as joker in the series, so this is like his backstory before becoming the joker.
I would like to see "Jeremiah" being "demonic". Pure "Demonic". The "Jeremiah" is impossible to be killed in the way that ordinary humans die. It also has the proper power. Imagine having extraordinary intelligence, "insanity" and "demonic" power. "Joker" = "Devil" But this is just my opinion, because for me it is more "Interesting".

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I honestly do not think it was necessary for Jeremiah to fall into the acid and become this creepy, grotesque version of the character. If you look at Tim Burton's 'Batman' Jack Nicholson did fall in and obtain scars which he covered with white makeup and red lipstick - the classic Joker style. The same with the legendary Heath Ledger: scars concealed by make up. Jerome already had the scars after his face was literally cut off and stapled/sewn back on. Maybe they were trying to go take the Joker character to new heights (even though he is not known as Joker in the series), but I felt Jeremiah was scary enough without turning him ugly!
I like it cause his face is terrifying and the only issue is his hair. He can simply wear an a green wig or sow some dyed greeen goat hairs to his head and look more like the classic joker wiht some chemical burn
Jeremiah is and has always been pure evil Edit 1 yr later: I like the idea a normal person suddenly becomes this pure evil person and it's never explained, my original comment is the only explanation. Or loneliness can drive a person mad. But he had a girlfriend and a successful career so really how lonely was he?

. Jeremiah justifies himself with absurd logic, it is a reference to how the Joker's schemes only make sense to him and no one else. More specifically a reference to Laughing Fish.
. Jeremiah's serene and psychotic look (more precisely his expressionless eyes) is reminiscent of the Joker's look when he is feeling: Excitement, Joy, fear and worry.
. Jeremiah, before burning Jerome's followers, forms an unnaturally wide smile, reminiscent of the Joker's common smile.
. Jeremiah with plans reviewing his panan reminds once again of Mad Love.
. The fact that he collaborates with Ra's Al Ghul is reminiscent of the World Finest special, where The Joker works with Lex Luthor, the similarity here is that in both cases it is the union of 2 prominent villains, but in this case, it is The Joker who hey help.
. The fact that the battery is powered by Jeremiah's pump. of changes in the environment is reminiscent of the Joker's Laughmeter in Almost Goth'Im.
I didn't really care much about Jeremiah's intial transformation in season 4. But I'll have to say. His overarching evolution made him pretty damn interesting.
“Jeremiah”
“Jeremiah”
“You’re a liar!”
"Joker" = "Devil"
But this is just my opinion, because for me it is more "Interesting".
You do know he took multiple stabs to the stomach and still be able to live through that

Is it weird that I want to get sprayed by that purple smoke too
Nope pretty sure a good bit of us wonder what it would be like to get inside the jokers head
Or How It Would Feel To Be The Joker. THE CLOWN PRINCE OF CRIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's like the dark version of L Lawliet--I love it!
He can simply wear an a green wig or sow some dyed greeen goat hairs to his head and look more like the classic joker wiht some chemical burn
jerome is casual joker just pure crazy but jeremiah is genius crazy and i like jeremiah version of joker actualy :)
Damn! Same dialogue as Hannibal Lecter
Jerome is soo Fine 💞😚✨
Jaidan Hall right😍😍
Jerome care for his followers
Jeremiah is and has always been pure evil Edit 1 yr later: I like the idea a normal person suddenly becomes this pure evil person and it's never explained, my original comment is the only explanation. Or loneliness can drive a person mad. But he had a girlfriend and a successful career so really how lonely was he?
Jerome is dead...long live the new me.
Who else thinks Jeremiah looks like an evil version of John Mulaney 🤣
Cameron is awesome
Dr. Bashir has come a long way lol
17:46 Is that the hommage of The Silence of The Lambs?
11:31 is anyone else seeing it jump 10 seconds?
Like I said Bruce will fall down In the dark island
this dude is obsessed with Bruce
You should see season 5
I know, overthinking fictional TV and blah, blah, blah, but the amount of time he had to chuck that box far enough way to not be affected by the gas at all will forever be frustrating to me
I like to thing the real victory of Jerome is manipulate Jeremiah, he talk abaout the things Jeremiah do to him, not like You are trash. Most like, hey: Be Bad, feels good, right? Remember, Jerome saids, we think at same. Jeremiah creates that gas, copy his brother voice, said exactly is expect to Jerome, he laughed like Joke abaout him self, cause do Jerome want by himself. The Joke in me.
@@superiorspider-nava1943 cool story I guess, but it is completely irrelevant to the aspect that will be forever frustrating to me. It does not justify or even address it in any meaningful way
I think I'm honestly just confused why this was a response to me and not its own comment
He looks like an evil matpat...
just saw the description, no way are the liam twins called brendan and brandon XD i'd be so confused as their parent
It seems like the show is really trying to drive home that he is not Jerome. like literally every scene they are comparing him to Jerome, and say he is sane Jerome isn’t like think people get it now.
Zoozeeman1234 thats kinda the beauty of jeromiah man he wants yo outshine jerome but in the ‘sane’ way
I blew up gotham clock tower
Might have not been a great joker but he was a great villain
I wish I got the opportunity to act in this movie 😫😫
It’s a show
Do you think that Jeremiahs fall was rushed?
18:03 i thought i accidentally paused it LMFAO
11:23 Unfortunately for them Jeremiah only pretended to phone the mayor to listen in to what Penguin and Tabitha were saying.
I feel sorry for the dork muffin
I actually like the detail that Jeremiah puts on an initial facade of “super-sanity” to claim that the insanity gas had no effect on his mental state, but we see that mask crack as the series concludes, showcasing more manic and insane mannerisms that mirrors Jerome’s own insanity tempered with his intelligence and calculating personality.
5:22 - 5:39 The best
This Joker forget to blink because Bruce is too handsome.
😍😍😍😍
I got a name for him, sane joker.
jeremiah blows up the clock tower, blows up his follower, tries to destroy gotham and burns his gang:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
