I'm a new subscriber, and this is my second video from you. I've been saltwater fishing for...let's say more than a couple decades, and I love your openess to trying new baits and teqniques, and especially reminding people the importance of keeping unwanted/un-needed plastics out of our oceans. Your personality is great, and you don't come off like a know it all like some of the others I've seen with their own channel. Stay humble, keep fishing, and keep teaching us new things! I can't wait to watch more of your videos to see what I haven't learned in all these years, even though my success has been great, it can always be better! Thanks for the vid and the interesting info on diet Pepsi. It may not have made much difference as far as the fish were concerned, but it could make for an interesting dish with the right ingredients and side dishes....FISH! lol Take care and be safe.
Exactly!! My Dad, "Pop", taught me how to fish, first in fresh water, and then salt water. In his later years, it was me taking HIM fishing...just the two of us like it was when I was young. He's passed on now, but it was Father and son times that I'll never forget. Definitely priceless memories! For any Dad's out there who fish and have kids, especially a son or more, take the time to take them fishing. You'll never regret it, and they'll never forget it. Life moves so fast that we tend to forget the simple things, the most important things, and before you know it, time has slipped by, and it's too late to have a "do over". Do it right the first time and leave nothing TO regret with your kids. Just sayin'
Little secret for you.... Pompano LOVE the Shrimp heads!! Never throw them down or away. Put them on your hook! Yes.... you Can't cast as far as with a tougher shrimp... but the Heads of shrimp get hit Almost as quickly as sand fleas do! No joke! I learned the Heard way! I had ran out of my shrimp and only had heads left in my bag, so started using them! And to My Surprise, they were Slamming them quicker than they were the actual shrimp bodys! Maybe because of the juices it releases vs the shrimp bodys.
Hey Skipper, if you are trying to do a fair test...then you need to remove the painted do'hickey that you have just above your hook. you won't know if the fish are attracted to the "pepsi shrimp" or the piece that looks like a "sand flea" egg sack, although...i do like that idea. tight lines to you and Erin and Dad. keep up the good vids...you make me laugh.
I have been using Diet Pepsi Soaked Shrimp for years. This is we do it in NE Florida, prep the shrimp to your choice, then place the shrimp in the DP for about 15 minutes before using, not over night it will make the shrimp soft if you leave the shrimp in it to long. One last tip we only use it in cold weather when the water is below 65 dergrees
Growing up in Africa, we used salted whole shrimp. Get the smaller size, and hook it all, not cut. Hook from head to tail, leaving the tip of the hook exposed at the bottom of the tail.
I know this is an old video, but I tried this last Friday 07/28/23 offshore with cut Sand Perch i had caught in the surf. It hammered the Red Grouper, Strawberry Grouper, and Red Snapper in NE Florida
Man we really like your videos we lay in bed when we first wake up in the morning and see if you posted something new we love you Brenden and Erin you guys are awesome what a life you’re living
There are a ton of Googans insisting that you had a hammer head shark. WRONG. Look it's up. The closest to a hammer head is the scallops head hammer Big difference in the head. Google can show you both It's a BonnetHead! Love your videos!
Watching your videos has got me thinking. I love sesame chicken but, because most places fry it, it's not good for me so I don't eat it very often. But, the way some restaurants prepare it the chicken can be fairly tough. It will probably stay on the hook as well as dead shrimp and the sauce with the sugar and red color may attract fish. It's worth trying some time. Maybe try soaking shrimp in the sauce used in sesame chicken or orange chicken.
Awesome! If you found this helpful you gotta check out my website, I custom make a ton of gear to help you with your next fishing trip! www.heyskipperfishing.com
If a fish is hungry and most of the time they are there gonna eat whatever they can to a degree. If anything the only advantage would be that the Pepsi ones maybe a bit firmer than raw but might as well just use salt will do the same thing
You should try soaking the shrimp in canna-butter. I put it in a frying pan, melt the cannabutter, put the shrimp in and set to medium-low heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes and remove them. Put em in a bag and pour just a little cannabutter in with them. Leave in refridgerator over night. Fish love the taste. Guaranteed 2-1 on regular shrimp. It really works.
hey skipper. im a real real real big diehard catfish fan and so at 11:11 i paused just to text my mom the diet pepsi and the channel cat you caught now i wanna go to the store grab 2 bottles of pepsi 1 so i can drink and 1 just so i can try and use maple susage and hot dog flavored pepsi. Thanks skipper oh and while i was at it i turned on the notification bell. from now on when comes to the ocean youre gonna be my go to guy.
Those we call snappers here in New York City which are baby blue fish..If you use a small spoon or a kastmaster lure you can catch them one right after another..
I use a bass fishing 1/4 black with white eye jig head hook with shrimp mango and red fish bonethead sharks and sheepshead nail the jig heads they swallow the jig head. From Gandy bridge area
Hey guys! What a bizarre trick! I definitely recognize where you were-we actually rented that yellow house right behind you, 2 years ago! We’ll be down there in August ourselves-finally getting to travel again! Would love to see you if we all happen to be in town at the same time!
I heard a long time ago about an old guy that accidentally spilled his diet Pepsi in his shrimp bucket here on the east coast of Florida. Swore to God was the best fishing he ever had and from that day on he always poured diet Pepsi and his shrimp bucket when he went fishing.
Yea I once heard of a guy that dumped liquor on his pin fish and menhaiden and the bait would bring back the targeted fish back by the nap of the neck🤣.
I just came from the Fishbite store here in ST. Augustine and some older gentlemen were talking about the Diet Pepsi shrimp and sand flea, which is why I'm watching this video
Nice Gulf Kingfish aka: Whiting. Here off the East Coast of Florida we catch both the Southern Kingfish which is more dark in color and does not have the black tip on its tail.Whereas the Gulf Kingfish are bright Silver with the black tip on its tail. Both of these fish are commonly referred to as Whiting and are both delicious to eat. The 'Kingfish' name is not to be confused with the King Mackerel species of fish which is an entirely different species of fish. Good video.
If the fish are hungry and looking for food they will eat anything what they see if the fish not really hungry they just looking for something yammer and delicious and what the Pepsi does just some tasty flavor that fish want to try it .
I fish in michigan and once dropped part of a nightcrawler while baiting my hook and couldnt find it, I found it much later at the bottom of the diet root beer i just finished, I have to wonder if this discovery was made the same way

Good
Wow 🤩 That’s badass. I wonder if DP does that to shrimp what does it to you our stomachs 😱
I will try Pepsi shrimp the next time I go out to the surf fishing
Try 3 hooks on the same pole with three different bait to rule out location of the casts.
@comment sense you spelt common wrong buddy
Right on the nose.
We often soak krills into a syrup to harden and make them more attractive.
This is the similar method used at ISO(rock shore) fishing in Japan.
Bait elastic works well to keep the shrimp on the hook 👍🎣🐬🐡🐟🐠🦀🎏🌴
at first i thought fishing was gross but you made me into a fishing addict. its so fun thank you so much hey skipper
Exactly the same here
Yup ditto, with you. I find an activity that my girlfriend will know where I'm at and Fibre with me being out all day... lol thank you.

In Australia we remove head and hook from Tail forward. Fresh is always best. Natural baits always fish better over here.
Love you guys and diet Pepsi!
Diet Pepsi shrimp is very good for blue fish
GRACIA POR LA INFORMASION

Try mellow yellow shrimp it works for me
There are a ton of Googans insisting that you had a hammer head shark. WRONG. Look it's up. The closest to a hammer head is the scallops head hammer
Big difference in the head. Google can show you both
It's a BonnetHead! Love your videos!
it works, really
I love ALL the saltwater videos and can't wait to go to either NC or GA to give it a try. Building up my equipment and camping essentials.
If that other man with you is your dad I like that !!!
Your videos only make me love fishing more! Keep up the AMAZING content!

I really like your channel especially how you have fun with your family
Awesome! If you found this helpful you gotta check out my website, I custom make a ton of gear to help you with your next fishing trip! www.heyskipperfishing.com
That little shark was indeed a bonnet head, you can tell by the curved/rounded head , a hammer head tends to have a straight/flat head
Yes its a bonnethead. I caught a bunch 3 footers and sat and today caught a 4 footer and a 41/2 footers.
@@dudester81 I’ve never caught a bonnet head, but I’ve caught a bunch of little blacktips before, and a 5 foot hammerhead once, all from a pier
i think a hammerhead. sure looked tasty, looked like it was covered in pepper flakes ready for the grill.
I'll try it In Shaa' Allah
Great fishing video with some nice fish
Damn those seagulls are having a blast. Non stop laughter.
That’s hilarious🤣🤣
probably ideal for mukbanger fishes
Wooow nice

With cannabis, you can do anything

I can use on the BRASIL.
With the Diet Pepsi theory, I would be afraid of “Hey watch this” or “I double dog dare you” with my crew. Best to avoid such situations.
Those we call snappers here in New York City which are baby blue fish..If you use a small spoon or a kastmaster lure you can catch them one right after another..
Maybe you should try Pepsi shrimp that have been salted, that might be interesting to try 🤔.
I tried salted shrimp with diet Pepsi... Didn't like it; too tough.
Hammer Head dude how cute... first time watching your show, it’s pretty awesome 👏. The Pepsi shrimp heard of never seen it tried.
Thank You 🙏 ❤️
Thank you for that awesome fishing bait technique Master Skipper.🥰🥰🥰
What is the best bait for whiting fish? Thank you.
Ye
Yeeet
What kid of fishing rod you're using and where can get one ??
I use a bass fishing 1/4 black with white eye jig head hook with shrimp mango and red fish bonethead sharks and sheepshead nail the jig heads they swallow the jig head. From Gandy bridge area
The seagull laughing at 1:16 😂😂😂
The soda will Actually SOFTEN the shrimp! I use Coke or Dr Pepper to marinade my steak in to tenderize it before grilling.
I watched you from turkey. I realy like this video. May be chicken meat with pepsi will be success. What do you think. I will try.
I do love your idea of sea salt shrimp and now I use your idea to make sea salt mackerel lol it works well I'ma try the diet Pepsi next
Hey guys! What a bizarre trick!

Nice job..watching from philliphenes
This sounds like a diet Pepsi ad to increase sales. Like Kale and Brussel sprouts
Bonnet head.
Put some small rubber bands bait will stay on you can find then in any dollar store
Salty Pepsi shrimpy coming soon 👀
😂😂😂🏆💯🏆
😅
Cat foods, fish smell only
I prefer the shrimp to be in salt it will be very solid and for Diet Pepsi I have not tried but I will do it
Great videos!!
I heard a long time ago about an old guy that accidentally spilled his diet Pepsi in his shrimp bucket here on the east coast of Florida. Swore to God was the best fishing he ever had and from that day on he always poured diet Pepsi and his shrimp bucket when he went fishing.

Hey i used your shrimpy bites at a paylake in Indianapolis and caught a 25 pounds catfish
Dammmmmmbbb
Probably works due to how much pop bottles are in the ocean. Fish are looking for their soda fix
Ive heard about this before from another fisherman but i have not tried it. Guess its worth trying to find out myself.
Super have to try once🥰
Thanks for a lovely view of the ocean. Not too wortued about Peosi. Just sardines is good
Great info enjoyed it ty
You doo good Job 👍 lol 🌝🌝🌝🌝
The Diet Pepsi thing came out in Florida Sportsman years ago. 2 to 1 for whiting.
Need advice from you o mighty one ! I have a thunnus 4000….any rod recommendations for the inshore ?
I fish in michigan and once dropped part of a nightcrawler while baiting my hook and couldnt find it, I found it much later at the bottom of the diet root beer i just finished, I have to wonder if this discovery was made the same way
A very small rubber band around soft bait will help keep your bait on the hook.
I use bait elastic thread.
It will work in regular Pepsi
