gummy bears work as well. when I was in the coastguard I told everyone on my ship I would catch a fish with gummy bears. they looked at me weird, little did they know it worked 😁 had everyone trying it after that
We caught tons of fish last year trolling gummy worms with nite crawler on lindy type crawler spinner rigs. Are biggest Walleye last year came from a gummy. They worked just as well as live night crawlers for us. Tons of sheepshead and perch as well. Ive been using them on and off for over 20 years for bass and pan fish. Presentation is key.
Very interesting. Thanks for Sharing. You still were able to catch dinner. Yes I do believe that you don’t have to keep everything you catch. Just take home what you can eat and share it with your family or Friends. Love your channel. Keep up the Great Work! Love you! ❤
I have really been trying to get away from synthetic baits and soft plastics. That’s actually genius because it would break down and not harm the environment.
Dude, I've been wanting to try catching largemouth bass with gummy worms! I'll bet you could rig them just like a plastic worm! You are the best! Great minds Think alike dude!
Brenden, I'm in Houston- fishing in Surfside(Freeport), SanLuisPass, Galveston/Bay. The majority of us who kayak fish are targeting keeper 'specs'(spotted weak fish/trout) 'Reds' & flounder. but many of the guys fishing the Surfside & Quintana jetties & the piers at Galveston are fishing big hooks & big cut bait. they mainly catch BullReds and Jacks. In Texas we have one tag on our license for one over 28"in BullRed. and then we can apply for one more BullRed tag for the year. Sooo they have to catch and release all the BullReds they catch. and no one keeps the Jacks- just for the fight. CaptJack
Thanks for your videos. Every time you all post, me and my wife go the same areas where you all fish at in Jacksonville, Florida. They’ve taught me a lot about fishing 🎣
First fish I ever caught was a Roach on a jelly baby on the Thames at Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed (No not the same year) My Dad forgot the bait but convinced me that like us, fish loved jelly Babies and one did! You are right about whiting or kingfish, delicious.
See, the way it worked was you read out the gummi ingredient list & it made the fish hungry...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seems like some bait manufacturer would make gummi baits with fish oriented attractants. 💡
@@HeySkipper not what I meant, I manage sales and meant it as there are more productive ways for casual/dedicated viewers. Didn’t mean to come off as negative. I love your channel and have learned a lot!
I'm 70...caught, cleaned, and eaten literally thousands of fish. Now I primarily catch and release because I simply don't want to clean them anymore LOL. About the only fish I keep to eat are a few crappie in the spring...honestly, I'd rather eat shrimp.
I catch & release mostly, but I keep trout for meals & croaker/mullet for bait. Have some tiny #1 circle sea hooks for bite sized pieces of shrimp to hit boat slips for pinfish to use for live bait.
Well done. I want to see you use an Allen's snake next.. Many years ago as a young teen, I caught big whiting most mornings on Maroubra Beach, just before sunrise on nothing but a 1 inch piece of red plastic drinking straw over a long shank hook.
Thanks for the video. Been watching you since inception and glad to see you’re doing well. Interesting use of gummy worms. I’d venture to try that out on the west coast where we are. Thanks!
Being indigenous, I like to eat perch eggs when they have eggs. That’s usually around February. That being said. I’ll only take half dozen or dozen. Fresh water perch are the best. But anything bigger than a perch, say like a walleye or salmon? The hens gotta go back. Those are the spawners, you take those big females out and that what you call a disruption in the food chain for a loooong time. ✌️🇨🇦 Awesome video mr.
Great video I’m going to try this with bass at my local lake here in NYC. I’m a beginner and I lve been thinking about unconventional baits for some reason. Also the tip about pre lined rigs is a great idea I’ll be doin that I get snagged so much and spend too much time setting up !
I'd be too tempted to eat them. It's not a bad idea, looking at the color and firmness of the gummies. I see we're pretty similar on intent behind fishing. Dinner is always my primary goal. I just wish I knew better on which fish are pregnant beforehand.
i mainly target catfish which i love to eat so i keep pretty much anything over 2.5lbs except when it is a spur of the moment thing and i dont have my cooler with me. i like to use "free baits" like hot dogs that have been open too long, expired or freezer burned steaks and expired shrimp.
again fun with your invention ! But I have a question ... I have surch everywhere to find the baitboxes you are using... no result around Belgium (Europe) ... will you mail me the name of these please ? If I order it in your shop I pay the dubble for transport and inporttaxes...that is a little bit to much for me. Pleace ? When you don't want that , I still enjoy your channel !
i fish for whatever bites! if i catch a smallmouth or largemouth i might keep one, or a nice sized walleye. but mainly i just like to catch and release because i dont have a place to dump the guts and skins except in my once a week garbage can. that can get really smelly and we have plenty of critters that will topple our big plastic bins. (raccoons!) oh i live in central wisconsin. and do mostly shore fishing . sometimes i drag out the 15 foot canoe. LOL but its difficult alone.
We all do mate 😂😂 and pay the price so now my own eyes are looking at the rod's 😂😂😂 here in the UK England Blackpool always good to watch your video's keep up the good work both of you your a great team
Hi, I always enjoy watching your Videos. Have you ever thought of dispatching the Fishes you catch to keep right after having caught them? May be you do, and it is not filmed. Best regards Christian from Germany
I thought I'm the only one in South East Asia especially in my country Sabah, Malaysia use *Haribo Worms* gummies as my bait to catch a catfish in the river or Monsoon drain......but I'm wrong 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm Malaysian too. Most of the anglers in Malaysia use something that smells like fruit as a baits. And sometimes they use fragrant to attract the fish. Me myself use fish pellet with a fruit flavor like strawberry, banana or pineapple. It works well to catch pangasius catfish, tenggalan (puntius bulu), lampam (java/tinfoil barb).

Ok
I like the music cool cat
how do you store the salty baits? just on a shelf in the garage or in a refrigerator??
My opinion is that we need to have a whole lot more people like you out there who actually have RESPECT for the resources that you use. You're not just a sportsman, you're a conservationist.
Gummy worms easy. What about gummy bears???😂😂😂
Hahah!
great idea.. the bear will hug the fish b4 it bite.. 🤣
😂😂😂😂
gummy bears work as well. when I was in the coastguard I told everyone on my ship I would catch a fish with gummy bears. they looked at me weird, little did they know it worked 😁 had everyone trying it after that
Fish like worms but they are scared of bears, i dont think it would work 🤣

I wouldn't go as far to say the pomp was "Loving it" when he stuck the gummy in his mouth.... ha!
Time to buy a 40 lb bulk bag of gummy worms 🤣
Very interesting. Thanks for Sharing. You still were able to catch dinner. Yes I do believe that you don’t have to keep everything you catch. Just take home what you can eat and share it with your family or Friends. Love your channel. Keep up the Great Work! Love you! ❤
Using a snack to catch a meal, love it.
Haha! That’s hilarious! Next time I go out, I’m gonna try using mini Swedish Fish candies! 👍🏼thanks Skipper!
Glad to see your salted baits didn’t get out fished😅 it gives your products more legitimacy for sure!
I have really been trying to get away from synthetic baits and soft plastics. That’s actually genius because it would break down and not harm the environment.
Never missed any of your video, always here watching every Thursday. Erin seems to enjoy the gummies more than the 🐠 fish. 🤣🤣🤣
Man that intro REELy REELED me in!
Dude, I've been wanting to try catching largemouth bass with gummy worms! I'll bet you could rig them just like a plastic worm! You are the best! Great minds Think alike dude!
Heck yea man, give it a try LOL! Tight lines
Saw some kid catch a largemouth bass on YT.
I tried that when I was younger and I went through a whole pack (of course u had to eat a few) and didn't get a bite lol
This has to be my fav vidoe. GUMMIE WORMS wow n works.. very cool love it.
Yes do believe it does work because I've have friend use's gummy worms for fishing bate. An it's fun good to use an eat them while you're fishing

If you whiting, try cheap bacon for bait. Your miles may vary. It's never failed to fill our cooler.

Haha that’s awesome! Maybe we will bump into eachother one of these days! Be sure to say hi!
Haribo should sponsor this channel lol
I’m going to try that myself 😂
Great idea, I'm going to try this. Save heaps on soft plastics.
Might have better luck targeting carp or catfish in freshwater with sweet baits like a gummy worm, but still entertaining to watch for sure!
First fish I ever caught was a Roach on a jelly baby on the Thames at Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed (No not the same year) My Dad forgot the bait but convinced me that like us, fish loved jelly Babies and one did! You are right about whiting or kingfish, delicious.
Done that before too. Also watched a kid catch a 6lb bass wacky riging a hotdog 🌭
I like the intro music! nice touch!
Definitely sets the fishing mood.
See, the way it worked was you read out the gummi ingredient list & it made the fish hungry...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seems like some bait manufacturer would make gummi baits with fish oriented attractants. 💡
could you please make us a dumbed down video of how to choose a spot and what areas are what, hole, sandbar, and all that please
Never have i used gummed in salt water fishing, but freshwater fishing i caught bass, cats, bluegill, drum, carp and turtles
Excellent les bonbons haribos 😊😊
Yes..I agree you have to release it if the fish has a lot of eggs in it.Nice one bro.
I go fishing to be outside on a nice day. Even a bad day fishing, is a better day then doing anything else, well almost anything else ;()
You are so right about that!
Love the sell of your product in between casts lol like an infomercial
Haha! Shameless self promotion because I gotta pay the bills!

Catch & release into hot grease!👍🔥🐟
Thank you testing new bait and share with us from ted in mauritius lot s of bless

The gummies may be more effective in warmer water, or at spring Break. At least it would be a good snack😋

Fresh water perch are the best.

Awesome video mr.
It does work, I used to fish in Georgia when I was growing up with gummy worms. It worked well for Channel Catfish.
Great video I’m going to try this with bass at my local lake here in NYC. I’m a beginner and I lve been thinking about unconventional baits for some reason. Also the tip about pre lined rigs is a great idea I’ll be doin that I get snagged so much and spend too much time setting up !
I know it will work. I have caught a 5 pound walleye at Lake Erie on a red gummy worm.
Please try using red worm, night crawler, mill worm, wax worm, and cricket.. 😂
I know this is off topic but those are more fun to catch with ultra light trout rod and reel and Carolina rig. You can cover more ground .
Lol, try using a orange peeling, to fish with. It worked for me on catfish.
Lmfao I cought my 1st gt ( 35lb) with a peace of red rag soaked in fish sauce 😂
I use them for bass fishing...Texas rig .saves time and money... no scent spray needed... Baltimore Maryland..
been using those for a while.. seems to work
i joke around with my kids about using gummy worms for bait,,i guess i will try it now
Hahaha, show the kids this vid
I love the cart where’d you get it from?
great attitude on what to eat and what to release, Good Luck in all your adventures!!!
Swedish fish stays on the hook a lot longer.
Plenty of fish in the ocean if I’m going fishing I’m bringing some home of course keepers 🎏🎣
Haha. Get em!
Nice Fishing 👍👍🙏
I'd be too tempted to eat them. It's not a bad idea, looking at the color and firmness of the gummies.
I see we're pretty similar on intent behind fishing. Dinner is always my primary goal. I just wish I knew better on which fish are pregnant beforehand.
Nice fish great eating
Agreed with your opinions of releasing and keep fish 👍🏼
Thanks again for a great video. And snack ideas.
When you put the gummy on lengthwise I had a feeling that that would do the trick! Awesome Pompano!
Depends on the fish I caught a blue runner off a puece on slim jim 😅
The pompano was like
Did he say wax, wax and more wax⁉️⁉️⁉️
Lol I've always thought about using gummy worms
。😢😮
I like to see you try out your fishing skills on a party boat
Works better than the bait u sell. Lmfao
I catch northern kingfish which is the same as your whiting, very nice fish to eat. I'm in md.
Definitely
I've caught bass in the lake where I live with gummy worms
i mainly target catfish which i love to eat so i keep pretty much anything over 2.5lbs except when it is a spur of the moment thing and i dont have my cooler with me. i like to use "free baits" like hot dogs that have been open too long, expired or freezer burned steaks and expired shrimp.

Freeze it and throw out the bag the day of your trash pick up, that’s what works for me .
Hi Brandon, what brand and model are your black tennis shoes? Thank you.
Hi, I just subscribed to ur channel, do you guys ever answer comments? I was inquiring about your black tennis shoes, thx
We all do mate 😂😂 and pay the price so now my own eyes are looking at the rod's 😂😂😂 here in the UK England Blackpool always good to watch your video's keep up the good work both of you your a great team
i caught fresh water eel on Haribo. Somehow fish like Haribo. I do like it too
I'm going to try gummy worms and bacon... lol that's awesome
Haha bacon?? Not a bad idea.
Hi,
I always enjoy watching your Videos.
Have you ever thought of dispatching the Fishes you catch to keep right after having caught them? May be you do, and it is not filmed.

Your best ...... Really.
Hey from Brazil!
Hey!
I will try with candy fish to catch fish like Pike🤣
Boa noite adoro pescaria de praia essa foi sensacional ✌🇧🇷
Do you bleed the fish upon capture? Makes for a much better tasting fish. Especially with pelagics.
Did u use braid or mono line? Regards from Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico!
Quality video !!!
Brother should try out a coconut rig catches all
I also keep some to eat and release those that I'm not looking to eat.
catch and release is ok as long as it is about a too young fish, the wrong fish, or a big mother fish.
but for me... i prefer catch and cook :D
it works for sure i already test it and it works
Try licorice sometime , who knows right
Haha yea who knows!
i am so happy for you
Have you tried liquorice 🤔 it catches ALLSORTS 👍😂😂😂😂
Great show never disappointed
I might actually try those gummy worms
Hey Skipper I just want to know how do I get an order of the salty bait you use how to go by doing that
Awesome show. Blessings
Yes
This man is crazy, I like that,🤣
Bro has the largest fishing pole I've have ever seen😮
That was fun thanks.
