My mixer has a very small area of use, that is I get very hot, or very cold, with a spot that is so incredibly small it's almost an inaccessible to have a decent shower, I was told by somebody at a passing that it was the cartridge does it mean it's not a line do I need a new one what do I need to do to fix this the person who advised me was the property manager however he was so responsive when I mentioned it that I believe he knew that it was already an issue
there is NO way this is as easy as shown, the steps are great the video great and all is accurate, EXCEPT how long it will take you to unscrew things which are rusted and cold welded on.. can anyone say rounded screw head, yup enjoy whilst shouting screaming and swearing, your neighbours will love you for it LOLOLOL
after undoing the grub screw the handle wont budge, seriously stuck :( gave up trying to get it of clean and just broke it off. just have to replace the mixer and somehow remove the plastic that is stuck in the handle
@@rpm016t I used two wrenches to take them apart and left a few nasty scartches on the body. and now I can't find a new chromed body to match the existing brass part.
I managed to take mine apart and it was relatively easy. The hard part is finding a mixer body with a thread which is compatible with the existing tee piece in the wall. None of the specifications for mixer bodies online appear to show what the thread dimensions are
Beautiful thank you
Are tee pieces of this kind a standard thread? I measured mine at about 38mm diameter which is about 1-1/2"
Thank you 😊

Helpful 🙂
how do I unscrew a rounded unit head? I bought a new shower mixer, the chromed unit head can't be unscrewed form the brass part.
Did you ever get this sorted? WHat did you do?
@@NVW247they’re glued together out of factory. They are not supposed to be taken apart.
@@ivanzhu6844 the video shows its threaded so technically it can come apart. it may be some sort of sealant like loctite. maybe heating it would help
