This is one of the few dance couples we will see in our life time that are simply too talented, gifted, and with a dance level that can't be matched, replicated, and judged. These two was the perfect dance couple and honestly was too remarkable to even fairly compete against. In some ways, they were too difficult to truly judge them in competition because their difficultly in their choreography and incredible techniques was beyond the other competitors and the judges themselves. The couple who took first was truly wonderful too but unfortunately some couples like these two where way and beyond competition. Jason and Katie were not competitors but true dance performers. I can watch every routine and appreciate the true genius dancers they were together.
There's always a jealous or disgruntled judge in every competition and I can't blame them. Jason & Katie were "off the charts" in style, technique & elegance.

Of course they gave Jordan and Tatiana 1st place. I have watched thousands of these videos and it was obvious that Jason and Katie should have got 1st. It doesn't surprise me though. It doesn't matter if it's a sporting event, or some sort of competition, there will always be judges or officials or refs that are always bias. They make up the rules as they go along. They also fail to follow the criteria that they themselves implemented in competitions and sporting events.
Love watching both of them dance, but Katie 's balance, grace and stability on her feet, in this and other videos, were like nothing I have ever seen! Just incredible.
these 2 are so outstanding!!! the chemistry is just wow between these 2!!! i hope they did get married n had a wonderful time together b4 he past away!!!! just love their dancing!!!!
My understanding is that they were not a couple but they were best friends. I think their chemistry speaks , or screams, for itself. However, comments posted on another video indicate Mr. Colacino was gay. I dunno if this is incorrect, does it matter?? They blended beautifully ... He was so young, my god, his parents ...my heart goes out to his parents.i can only imagine ..

@@Dragnix Correct: undiagnosed enlarged heart, winter pneumonia (probably overexertion from all that amazing physical dancing & rehearsing, maybe thought "it's just the flu, I'll get over it..." So sad!
A Terrific synchro match with these two, also check out their later Dance to Stones track-"Honkey Tonk Woman"...However, I have played this a dozen times or more just to savour the excellent guitar track, mysteriously similar to an early 60's guitar track "Ham'n' Eggs" & also an early 60's Chuck Berry track " Deep Feeling" but again this for me, a crackin' guitar piece.
Wait a minute, I'm confused. 2nd place? Is that a misprint? I'm sorry I find it almost impossible to believe that anyone could beat Jason and Katie at anything when it comes to dancing. What those 2 could accomplish on the dance floor was nothing short of miraculous. Jason will forever be missed. I'm curious, was Jason ever on the show Dancing with the Stars. He most definitely should have been one of the pro dancers. Granted he would have had stiff competition with the likes of Derek Hough, which there are no words adequate enough to describe that talent, or his sisters for that matter. But Jason would've been great on that show, assuming he was not on there before and I just don't know about it.
