You're so welcome! Sorry for my delay.... I've needed to step back fora bit... and heck yeah they did! Blue doesn't win very often....but they do need credit when credit is due...
The press your luck suggestion is interesting. The most obvious consequence is that the guest card is permanently discarded. (How willing are you to take the chance if the next card could be a noble?)
I just love press your luck...... ever since Quacks of Quedlinberg. That might be my favorite game ever -- so anything I can do to replicate those feelings always get some consideration....
Interesting game. Don't think it quite measures up to Quacks, but it's hardly fair to compare a designer's every game to a potentially once-in-a-career game... I did spot a few inevitable errors: 37:17 You say you spent a beer, but I don't think you did. 55:45 Having lost and rebought the waitress, she should have gone to the top of the draw pile 1:09:40 Having picked the guest that brings an extra card with him, I don't think you actually picked up the extra supplier, so blue missed out on a couple of points there The obvious thematic consequence for pushing your luck and getting an extra guest would be to permanently lose that guest. That's not always going to be a bad thing, of course - losing a 0-point 1 or 2 coin guest will actually improve your deck - but later game, it could well cost 2-3 points - or 10 points if the next guest is your first royal...
Thanks for the mistake annotations! Working on them now.... and I hadn’t thought of permanently losing that guest.... but I absolutely LOVE that idea! It works thematically, it has a nice flow of changing from being beneficial to detrimental as the game goes on.... I really really want to try this out. It seems like such a fun idea! Thanks for sharing that! And, as always, thanks for helping with the mistakes....
@@TomTeachesGames Hi, I'm going to buy this game since I like Quacks and I love so much the art of Dennis Lohausen. Did you work on a "push your luck" house rule? I think lose the extra guest is not a great risk, and in the first turns (without nobles) it could be a benefit, instead...
Thank you for the wonderful and easy to follow instructions! Off to play now! 😉
Sweet!!!! Good luck! And make sure you win 😜
Great video, very clear overview
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
Again, beautiful play through and explanation of the rules. Cheers.
