One nice tech you can add to the deck is Defense of the heart + Threefold thunderhulk + Purphoros God of the Forge as finisher. Each works well individually in the deck but can be game ending when triggered with each other. Defense of the Heart tutors the other two into the battlefield at the same time. With Bello out, Threefold is a 7/7 that produces 14 tokens with ETB/attack. That triggers a total of 30 damage against all opponents as early as turn 4. As threefold generates lots of tokens, it can also be a defensive card which can help you block damage or threaten lethal if it rotates back to your turn.
I built Bello as an enchantment chaos stax deck with pieces like Manabarbs and Stranglehold. Its currently sitting around an 80% winrate and i think the secret sauce was making it more like a traditional Enchantress with things like Verduran Enchantress and Enchantress' Presence. I have found this works great as it makes the deck less reliant on Bello being on the field for its base functionality, moreso uses Bello to animate then swing for lethal.
You and I were not too far apart in this list. Initially in my rough draft I leaned really hard into artifacts (Myco / darksteel / disk) and brought back old friends like daretti, and KCI loops, but it felt like i was just building mono red artifacts with extra stuff. so i shifted into enchants. I have not abandoned the artifact list, but need to do a mental reset instead of building an old list with a second color.
I am pretty new to commander so this is my first artifact deck! I am a blue player and always thought when I built an artifact deck it would be some kind of Urza joint, but when Bello came out and offered a super-aggressive alternate take on artifact synergy I pulled the trigger! Artifacts are super re-usable, so maybe in the future I'll pull this apart and try a different commander. For now, Bello has been really fun to build around his strengths and weaknesses.
I’m glad I picked this up. Can’t wait to try it out Friday night 😆 this deck is so freaking weird! I’m gonna win because nobody will see this coming. I played it with some friends this weekend and it’s surprisingly powerful right out of the box. Won 2 out of 4 games against more powerful (my opinion) decks!
Nice! I also love decks where nobody knows what you're doing until it's too late. That's why I built Bello (and Zinnia too) since they're very unpredictable.
Nice take on Bello, I was so excited when the little Rocket Racoon was announced. My take on Bello is more centered on artifacts, specially the ones who leave creature tokens. Big mana rocks and extra combat cards. The other day I had unnatural growth, a double-strike granting enchantment and I used a World at war, it was insane. Are you using the new elemental which provides cascade to your enchantments? It seems amazing. I would like to test a lot of things, big mana rocks, enchantress, afinity artificats, modular artifcacts, extra combat, double damage, vehicles, there are plenty of toys to play with and many routes to go 😊 I call my deck "my trash is my treasure, don't mess with it!" XD
Such a great take - love it! There was just so many cards to put into this deck. Limited by only 100 cards means I can't fit them all :( The good thing is that it also means the deck can be super varied. So I can always change up the strategies whenever I want to.
I'd build the same way, but Dual Nature is such a niche, obscure card I really want to try with Bello! Sure, it's risky, its got a symmetrical effect, but could you imagine having *two* Fiery Emancipations? Fantastic video as always!
Question: If I use Echoing Assault to create a 1/1 token copy of an enchantment and/or artifact that's a creature because of Bello's ability does the token become a 4/4?
That's a tricky question due to the updates on how token copies have (or don't) the casting cost. I'd say either ask a judge or wait until the rules are updated post Bloomburrow. Sorry I couldn't be much more helpful than that!
Stop pushing white to gain more stuff, as a person that plays more than just commander this is annoying, it's commander play's faults for what happened to green anyway. So don't complain. Green sucks now in some 60 card formats because of this.
Green always sucked in constructed competitive (before Urza's Saga) and there was even a joke card made about it in MaRo's column in The Duelist magazine. That being said, a RG deck designed and piloted by Olle Rade won protour Columbus for Ice Age block constructed. Matt Linde was a semifinalist in the 1999 protour with his monogreen stompy deck. So green decks weren't always the trash they seem to be. In any case, good white cards for commander don't need to be printed in Standard sets/products. Plenty have been printed only in precons. A significant list, in fact. There is a way for us to have our cake and eat it, too. I am one who believes that formats should have their own products. Commander products are eternal legal; they can stay that way. Print them there. I am literally not disagreeing with you. Both things can be true.
@@TheCommanderTavern I'm talking more then just standard and goyf and titan are good green cards, there are green decks before the push for green. Very true! Thanks for the suggestion!

Nice! Especially with that evil route. You could even add more of the green stax effects if you wanna be extra evil.

lol, two copies of Fiery Emancipation would definitely be insane XD
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
It seems risky since it doubles your opponents creatures as well.
Very true! Hence the risk! It might depend on the playgroup.
I destroyed my pod this Tuesday with an unmodified bello precon. Cant wait to turn up the heat.
It's so good right out of the box, right?
A little clunky but if once u assemble a couple pieces it goes off!@@TheCommanderTavern
Just so people know the etb effects only happen the first time the enchantment/artifact is played not every turn
Which ETB effect?
Setessan Champion > Enchantress's Presence
I'd just put both!
