Fantastic tech, super eco friendly, easy to use, and fast enough. Can't state how amazing these are. If you took out 10% of the parking bays and replaced with these things they're be no problems!

@@tilerman trucks are fine, they are useful for carrying around large loads etc. However, this person's issue is with cars, and how impractical they are, given the average speed in Central London/many centres of countries around the world being lower than the top speed of a bike, and taking up more space, and adding emissions to the atmosphere. @@tilerman I think everyone agrees if you have to use your car for work in london it fine. It's the people that just "like to drive" or are too lazy. London isn't for Top Gear Fanatics hahahah
My question is, why regularly ride Lime, when you can just buy your own bike? I just picked up mine for £20 a couple of weeks ago and it’s already more than payed for itself in bus fares / bike and scooter rental
The electric power means you arrive to places less sweaty! Plus, say I want to have a drink at my destination, I don't risk leaving my bike at the destination or cycling under the influence. I think it depends on your lifestyle but for me Lime is much more convenient.
You don’t worry about bike theft; once the bike is parked, it’s over to the company to protect their own assets, they’re electric so a bit easier on the legs and faster. No cost of maintenance (Chains, hubs, cassettes, bearings etc) to you directly

In London, cars are significantly more dangerous than bicycles, killing and seriously injuring far more people even when adjusted per Km traveled Fatalities Involving Cars: In 2023, cars were involved in the majority of the 101 road deaths in London. These incidents typically involved pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users Fatalities Involving Bikes: Fatalities caused by bicycles are exceedingly rare. Over a decade, the number of pedestrian deaths involving cyclists has often been in single digits. For instance, in 2022, no pedestrian fatalities were attributed to bicycles Hope this helps. Agreed cyclists should be punished by car are stil farrrrrrrrrr more dangerous. makes sense when you think of the size, speed and weight difference

There needs to be proper infrastructure for storing them, saw about 70 in a group outside Waterloo station
I believe we should put bikes into the streets instead of big metal boxes on 4 wheels.

Fascinating, I'm a big fan of Lime bikes.
It all looks (so its just a guess) really minimum wage.

Great idea but ruined by selfish users. At least Lime Bike dominoes is fun.
Ban them.
