I guess the one thing holding me back is knowing that the prop will get tangled in weeds. Having a canoe or kayak is supposed to allow you to get in those weedy areas. If you have had experience in the weeds let me know how it held up

It can happen if you’re peddling over some thick weeds, but I haven’t had much issues when it’s not thick. Also, even though it’s pedal drive, you can retract the pedals and paddle the kayak for those very shallow areas. By law, at least in Ontario, you have to have a paddle with you on board of any boat, so you typically just keep your kayak paddle with you for those moments.
I can also say that comparatively, the Mark 4’s shallow running setting is the shallowest I’ve seen so far.

how tall are you Ben? I like the Bite for a second kayak but I'm wondering if I'm too big for it

I’m not a tall guy, I’m 5’6” (I had no idea before, I just measured myself to answer your question).

How tall/short are you? Not being able to easily clear the prop would suck?

I’m 5’7”. I could have possibly adjusted the seat a little forward or back so I wouldn’t have to do that every time. Also, the second trim level on the prop can really help avoid weeds - which some fishing kayaks don’t have.

Awesome video, im looking to get my first fishing kayak but im torn between the bite coosa and knarr, i like the features on the coosa and knarr but the bite looks impressive for the price which is the hesitation on going with the coosa and knarr. If you've tried either of those other two how does the bite compare?

So the bite is the little brother to those, essentially. It’s lighter, less feature rich, and performs well on calmer/slightly choppy waters. Something to consider is how you’re transporting the kayaks - if you have a trailer then weight isn’t much of an issue - but if you don’t, the coosa and Knarr are heavier kayaks (especially the Knarr).
What kind of water will you be paddling? The Coosa’s hull is built for Rivers, but handles flat water just as well. The Knarr is for fishing in bigger waves and tournaments. The Bite will handle most rivers well, no issues on flat water, but can’t handle big waves - which isn’t an issue on most lakes.

It's a play on words. 😂 We're paddlers, so... It's peddle this time.
