I really, really love this format of going through a knit from beginning to end with a review of the process, pattern and yarn. It's super informative. Also you did an incredible job!

Absolutely beautiful - love it! I saw your styling video and came over to this one since the Lauder reminded me of Sweater no 15 that I'm currently knitting - well started and decided to change to a cardigan. I think Lauder fixed the design issues of no 15 - especially the sleeves. I am modifying mine to a v-neck sweater and this video was helpful and a fun watch. You did a great job and your modifications make this even better. This makes a great base for your self-drafted cable pattern.

Your sweater looks great! I totally feel you with test chats being overwhelming. I am at a point where I don't usually apply for tests unless they're being run on discord or slack so there are separate channels for pattern updates so I don't have to sift through all the chat to see if there are changes I need to know about. I'm making a project vlog for a test I'm doing too- these project vlog/deep dive videos have become my favorite things to watch!

YES, I didn't realize it was bottom up. I couldn't figure out why the rib was so big 😂

Beautiful sweater, Sarah! I’m a tight knitter, too, so I can relate to what you’re saying…! And yes, I’ve knit an all-over cable cardigan. It was the Rowe Cardigan, by Michele Wang. I love her cable designs, along with Norah Gaughan. They both “rock” cables!

I'm planning on knitting the Seaview Sweater soon, it's a similar all over cable sweater (I just personally prefer the cables to this one, though this one is lovely!) and this was a nice motivation that yes I can knit an all over cable sweater! Thanks for making it!

Cables are such a personal preference thing! I have wanted a cable sweater for so long but non of them were exactly what I wanted in mine! I'll have to check out the Seaview! You can totally do it. 🙌🏻😄

With your tendencies not to read patterns very carefully, have you considered that test knitting may not be the best match for you (or the designer you are “testing” for)? Your end product may be very nice, but the point of test knitting is to do quality control on the pattern instructions. Just something to consider. 😊

I can definitely see why one could think I'm not the best match for a test knit. 😅🙈 However I always read through the pattern and am able to deliver all my notes to the pattern designer or fill out their forms as they require. If I make changes I ask ahead, and if I make a mistake? Well, I'm human. 😂 But I think having a variety of people and thinking types test a pattern is super valuable, even people who may find following patterns a challenge, because I can spot the tough to read things, that may not be challenging to others. Not everyone who buys a pattern is gonna be good at large pages full of instructions. So I figure I can offer that insight. Plus there are usually a ton of testers in the groups I've been in and everyone together seems to get it all sorted. 😄🙌🏻
