Thanks for posting this as I am about to take this journey. It looks hard to fit that tiny hole. I think the brand and model I ordered might be similar to this one. After analyzing your vid I think cutting the subfloor hole is the key since it is a tripod. I might cut the hole to extend out at least 2 inches between the tripod so that the valves can be accessible right there. I wonder if you had screw the tripods last it might have helped as no one will be able to access that part after the tiles are in place.

The video is very helpful. Thanks for putting this up to help the rest of us. What brand and model did you install here? The base looks sturdier than others I've seen. Did you like how sturdy the final installation was? We're still shopping for the brushed nickel freestanding valve and find quite a price range. Any suggestions you have are appreciated. One thing I'm concerned about are the availability and ease of replacement for the mixer valve and the ability to find and install the replacement. Any guidance and suggestions you have are appreciated. I'm subscribing!!! Thanks!

Steve Service The customers got theirs on Amazon.
I’d say any big brand-name would have an easy to replace valve but they are still new so I’m not sure.

Yo... You put the hoses on first then fish down the pipe... That's coming from a electrician... Nice job though.. I have a concrete floor to put mine on... Wish I had a crawl...

What adapter did you use to connect supply lines to water lines under floor? It looks like my supply lines are a 3/8

Hey, what type of plumbing hoses (red and blue) did you use to connect the faucet to main water line? Looks like it will rake a lot of headache out

Those floor mounted faucets are notorious for leaking.. Or is it just the wand? Any brands that dont leak?

Thanks for the query. I don’t like these at all! They are hard to install! Don’t know of any good or bad brands at this time. Thanks for your support!

I’m in the middle of installing one of these now. It’s on the 2nd floor I have a hole cut open and can’t decide if I should completely install the filler before the water membrane & tile or not? Will be difficult to connect the hoses later. Did you just put your finish floor around the mount and it got covered up by the cover?

Yes put the bracket on first then floor around it later

@@nineeighteenmedia6852 I am doing a installation at this moment too. But I believe install the braces after floor installed is the way to go. You just need drill 3 holes and put inserts. BTW, im doing in a concrete slab

Thank you for the video. We need one more thing...We purchased a floor mounted tub filler from a seller on eBay. Manufactured in China. Instructions that were included were for some other faucet. PROBLEM -- The faucet has a thick plastic box, mostly encasing the area just below the faucet to protect it in shipping. Have no idea how to get in off. We messaged the seller on eBay and the response made no sense. We suppose they are not good at English. Does anyone know the answer to getting the plastic shipping bracket/case off?

I'd use screws or bolts that are rust resistant and I'd install some blocking for support with longer screws or even bolts.... what you did will become weak within months to a year or so... not only that you won't always have access to hook your lines up. Between floors.

Pushing it down through the floor would be the only way or shortening it

you used pex which will limit flow of water but it's nice and flexible I have the same faucet and the line are to freaking long and according to their instructions the adapters need to be flush with the subfloor, doesn work if your using copper

Dude I feel you did everything wrong. This kind of installation , you should start from bottom to connect plumbing then faucet piece then connect top plumbing, so you dont need to torture yourself, you only need to do last step is just connect big top faucet piece, there are alot space you can twist top piece and flex pipe with turn but it will be OK
