The additional silicone around the drain pipe and washer for the extra insurance is genius. Sometimes it’s the little details like that, that can save the home owners so much money in the future. Going above and beyond as usual, I love it. Another well deserved “like” for this one, cheers!

Salut de France :) Tellement facile de faire des trous de les sols en Ontario, tout est en bois :D
I am, indeed, a pro. I’ve also never installed a tub before. 16:55
Installing the three prong tub filler on the subfloor before tiling makes it so much easier (And more secure). And you only lose an inch or less of height.
Thanks for clear instructions. Can you please provide the preferred tub filler (Moen) model or part number?
I have a question. When inserting the drain into the P-trap do you have a special fitting at the end of the p-trap that creates a watertight seal, in the event that the p-trap gets clogged it does not back up and leak? I installed a similar soaker tub a while back and the drain line was just installed into the p-trap without any sort of watertight seal. I made the guys take that out and create a proper seal between that drain line and the p-trap connection. Hope this makes sense. Than you and great videos.
👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛🫵🪨😁 thank you for the laugh about what you said about looming up the tailpiece lol
I wonder if you’ve ever done a bathroom with a Japanese soaking tub with a big floor drain allowing that bathtub to safely overflow and function as a drain for the shower too. It could be a zero barrier entire bathroom.
Funny those island tub drains say in the spec sheet “IS NOT FOR USE WITH LIQUID OR SHEET APPLIED MEMBRANES” “IS NOT INTENDED FOR WET AREAS” lol!! Why it says this? Not sure
yeah but cleaning behind the tub is going to be tough its too close to the wall
One thing I am curious about - does the manufacturer recommend setting the proper torque for tightening the nuts to the PEX connectors? Reason I'm asking is that it seem that if you make the connection, snug, but not torqued to spec, you run the risk of water leak. I'm just curious, that's all. I work within the aerospace industry and torque-to-spec is a big thing.
What if there is no existing tub? Just a walk in shower. Can you add a tub to an open space in the bathroom and connect it to existing plumbing?
Have link for drain??
14:40 🤣🤣🤣
Is that some sort of bug wiggling around on the left of the frame? ua-cam.com/video/5OaHewnJKLQ/v-deo.html

In USA every floor and wall is made of wood. Strange.
