    For everyone asking about the tarter - you can substitute it with white vinegar - double the amount called for in the recipe (4TSP white vinegar instead of 2TSP of tarter) just made a few batches and it worked perfect

      Agreed Marian it lasts really long keep an eye out for mold or sour smell. Keep in sealed plastic baggies for extra softness. Also add some oils extract to make it smell nice. I like using lavender oil or even almond or vanilla extract (not oil)

    • @shelleymullin9032
      @shelleymullin9032 6 місяців тому

      I made it 3 weeks ago for my daughter and her class. As fresh as the day I made it. Cream of tartar is the key ingredient can last up to 6 months in a properly sealed Ziploc. I find containers give them a bit more air and it dries out so tight in a ziplock bag and you're good to go. Coming from Canada

      Try using glycerin or coconut oil, since it is anti fungal and antibacterial, and won’t let germs grow. Corn and veg oils turn rancid and are GMO. Nasty!🤮

    • @naturfagstoff
      @naturfagstoff 2 роки тому +1

      maybe use a little citric acid flour + flour, maybe 1 teaspoon citric acid + 2 table spoons flour or potato or maisenna flor. Cream of tartar is slightly acidic, so citric acid would add to acidity, but it is much stronger than c-o-t. C-o-t probably extends the durability, as bacteria don't much like acid. Salt probably keeps the fungi away.
