The Tenor of Felmingham, Norfolk

- The church of St Andrew's is an amazingly historical church sitting in the small village of Felmingham. The tower is the oldest part of the church as the nave and chancel of the previous building burnt down. Once in the ringing room, it is very clear what the size of the old church would have been. The bells are rung from a ringing gallery and the archway can be seen, climbing up over the new roofline of the church. From the outside, this is even clearer to see.
The bells were rehung in 1997 at which time they were augmented from six to eight with two new bells, the treble and tenor. Interestingly, however, all the old bells were left meaning that the 'original six' or 'middle six' of the augmented eight can be rung using what is now a 5 sharp.

Thanks Paul. There was a ladder placed in the perfect location for my camera! I didn't see what angle the camera was at so it was a nice surprise to not only see it in focus when I retrieved it but also showing a great view of the bell.
It makes a great training video on ringing up and down
@@tittums so there are 9 bells
Greetings Ringer Ollie
