    Hi Heather! Perfect choice on Redwing Viburnum! Very nice ❤. I want to plant one now. Thanks for the info and inspiration! 🙌 I thought your husband was going to pass out 😂

      At one point he asked “What are you doing to me?!” That root ball was over 200 pounds!

    Thanks for showing that’s it’s ok to remove plants that aren’t pulling their weight. Now I want one of these viburnum!

      It’s something I’ve had difficulty doing as I keep hoping that next season will be “the” season it comes alive. But that gets old and there are so many other plants to try. Why wait?

    This shrub checks all of my boxes to replace a struggling serviceberry. Now, I just have to find one at my local nursery.

      That’s the way I saw it too. Flowers, berries, fall color, native. What’s not to love?!

    I removed my Autumn Brilliance serviceberry earlier this fall and replaced it with a Dogwood Scarlet Fire. I’d heard you talking about possibly evicting yours and it helped me realize I had waited too long too. I love that viburnum!

      Editing, for me, is the most difficult part of gardening I think because I spend a lot of time considering plants and I always want to give them one last chance.

    Excellent choice. Great planting details.
    How close does the other viburnum need to be to get fruit?

    • @heatherhereshegrows
      @heatherhereshegrows  3 місяці тому +2

      Hi there! The closer they are to each other the better the chance of good pollination. The bees will be able to find them if both are located somewhere on the property and not necessarily right next to each other

    Hi there, love the cranberry viburnum you chose - its going to be beautiful I'm sure! I just planted two myself, I thought I would mention that I'm pretty sure yours will need another one close by in order to get berries again next year. Maybe the neighbors have one?

      Yes! Later in the video I put a note on the screen that for best fruit set, a second one is needed.
