Wang Chung were a real Tour de Force in 1980s music and their 5 best songs for me were... To Live and Die in L.A., Dance Hall Days, Let's Go, Everybody Have Fun Tonight & Hypnotize Me. The last being featured in one of my all-time favorite movies, Innerspace (1987). 👍💪😊
These guys were so good and yet so underrated, in my opinion their best song was Dance Hall Days but they had others that were very good, definitely not a one hit wonder band!!!😄
One of my favorite pop songs of the 1980s. Wang Chung were a serious force to be reckoned with in the new wave scene of the '80s. Thanks for the upload! 🤠🎸
I fell in love to dance Hall days back in 85 and I'm still loving to this day as a 53yr old. . . And I've just fallen in love again listening to this track. ❤❤❤❤ and to all you fellow fans out there. . EVERY BODY HAVE FUN TONIGHT 🍾🍹🍨🍻🎵🎸
@@dickg many say that about the decade they grew up in but I agree the 80's have lotsa fantastic music, lotsa garbage too like every decade since the 50's...
@@kevinmyles6369That’s true but overall the 80’s had way more gems than garbage. Pop music in particular was more melodic, catchy and memorable than most of what makes the Top-40 today.
@@coolcat6303 I agree with you. These days acts in top 40 only seem to care about half assed songs, cheap melodies while back in 80's and such bands, artists worked hard making the best they could on those singles hence it's still memorable, not today's top 40 rubbish
Darlin', I believe in love In this hate-ridden world I believe in love Do you know the power You have over me Use it every hour Shine the light on me Turn on your white light In my open eyes Oh girl, you hypnotize me (hypnotize me) I feel your white light You're so bright I'm hypnotized (I'm hypnotized) And as you're looking at me It's a deep ecstasy And no word is enough Just shine the light in my eyes And hypnotize me love
One of my favorites from the band. I’m so happy you’re posting more videos! I was just listening to Jack Hues’ latest solo work last week. These guys still churn out great music.
Wow, just found this. I met you guys way back in the day in Pittsburgh PA at a record store before your show. You guys actually kept in touch briefly with my cousins and sent some really lovely letters. They had sent Violet presents. Good to see you still making music ♥️.

Wang Chung, total worldwide record album sales! 550,000! Thats nothing! Compare to The Police, 150 million album records sold worldwide! Here you clearly see it in comparison!
Talk Talk are leagues better in song writing dept and hook and melodies! Hues is a clone of sting or martin fry, but devoid of any real musical dynamite! Thats what happens when you come from a posh kent family, and went to royal college of music, and have a degree, in music. The Ruts and the jam, spandau ballet, talk talk, the clash, etc prove it that best music comes from self taught musos! Not silver spoon boys!
*Song has no hook lines, lousy chorus, jack is handicapped as he looks like sting, but jack cant sing really, and worse uses andy summers Police signature off beat chord drops. This is a very strange band! Had a hit yonks ago in 1983, dance hall days, a medicore song with dylanish monotone vocal. These guyscare still living off of that dodgy tune all these years later. Then you find out that the dodgy bass player, was record company major label insider! 💥A+R manager for Warner Bros uk, then later, 💥 he was HEAD OF SONY MUSIC Europe! Feldman a good old jewish name from nth London. So now its clear why jack hues has hung in there with feldman as he has all the keys to the music biz candy store! Wang chung, have lot weak dodgy songs, easy to forget, mediocre musicians, cant sing a melody, yet still soldiering on after 50 years! Wang Chung should been swept away by punk and New Romantics, that burgeoned in mid to late 70s. I actually met hues, in 1978 or 79, i attended a evening music classes course at south east londons, goldsmiths college, hues was the teacher. I remember he showed us the chords and how to play bowies “ziggy stardust” Hues definitely had stand out looks, but almost a double of sting. Must been a real real handicap! *I Cant believe these wang chung 70 years old geriatrics are still pumping it out!
Hit #36 on US Billboard Top 100 in July 1987 and featured on "Innerspace" movie soundtrack 💓
WangChung haven't uploaded in 3 years, and now they have! Cool!
A timeless 80s classic by Wang Chung. I can listen to this all day.
Just listened and watched this today, Thursday, 18th of April 2024. Timeless song from Wang Chung, I love the 80's era. Cheers!

That drummer had mullet of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Wang Chung was one of the best bands of the 80s. These guys are musical geniuses.
Saw them live in Sydney in the mid to late 80s at CBH. They were awesome.
I had never heard this song before... there is more to WangChung than Everybody Have Fun Tonight (I love that song!)
Hypnotizing album, hypnotizing song

I just them last night and they rocked! Jack is still wearing fringed jackets and Nick still plays a headless, small bodied bass.
This band was brilliant.
ABC and Wang Chung are two bands that really help me relax, but also feel upbeat.
Great song,always love their music!
Always a great day for some Wang Chung!
I'm glad to see them back and can't wait to hear more

IT DOESN'T MATTER !, WHEN IT COMES TO TASTE, BOTH ARE GOOD MUSIC FROM 80S.. MUSIC IS MUSIC ..
I DON'T KNOW IF THIS BELONGS IN THE 2000'S HITS. SOUNDS MORE LIKE THE 80'S?
Just saw them last night !!! Amazing but they didn’t sing this
