That thing does pretty good, considering there's no suspension. The V-twin sounds awesome especially after you added the muffler! The engine would probably rev higher with a bigger carburetor. Great looking mudmower!
These videos always amaze me. It’s just like “well this needs some crazy custom fabrication to work and I’d have to completely redesign half of the crazy custom fabrication I’ve already done but I might be able to get it to work” then the next frame it’s done and it just works perfectly first try
Honestly, its rarely that slick when it comes to fabrication. This particular vid was 6 months edited to a bit less than an hour, so it was heavily edited
I definitely like the look of the motorcycle tires on the rear better. Maybe make them dually instead of the quad tires. Love the look of the front end
Been trying to build a mud mower myself just when I thought I got. It done and nothing more needed done to it u made so many things tht would help me so damn much with my build😅😅
You could let some air out of the back tires it would ride so much better and save your kidneys. I really like this build. I have 3 gt 6000 and one 316. Most guys go slow off road I'm to old to go fast been there got the tee shirt and the scars to prove it. I thought about putting back rims off a tw 200 Yamaha dog on the front of mine. With the brakes.
This is one of those things that would be much more fun in a group. By yourself it could get a bit boring. For instance I have no issue with riding quads or motorcycles alone but with my RC cars it's boring alone. Just my 2 cents.
If you want more throttle response, try one of those other holes you drilled in the bell crank linkage. Remember when you literally said you wanted it at the least sensitive setting? 😂 all in good fun but that did make me laugh a bit.
Sorry, did not mean to give the impression it was going to be a race. More of a get together a break stuff kind of thing. Setting up a quick and dirty small course would definitely be a possibility though.
@@misfittoys8883 they were built tough and simple, with many “off the shelf” items, bearings, etc. My channel has quite a bit of Wheel Horse stuff if you need any inspiration 👍
Lind of a shame I wont be using the rear ones after all the work I put into them. Might throw them back on once in a while when I REALLY feel like trying to hurt myself.
Try building a plate and 2 pin keeper at the cluch idler assembly so that when you roll farther into the release point it will act as a belt stop...lookin very cool !
@@misfittoys8883 naw man I've been subscribed since you had l think less than 200 subscribers so I know you put some thought and time into it. But anyway looks fun. Good work bro.
Nice to se you tinkering with this again, Could the slow REV issue be due to the larger pully rotating mass. I bet if you were in mud with i RPMs it wouldnt bog down much at all.
You should make some kind of basket that sits over the motor on the front so if you take it shows and stuff you have somewhere to put stuff plus it would be handy if you're going around on your property and put chainsaws on and weed eaters and stuff like that or even an extra gas can
put old atc tires on it fill them with water half a pound to two pounds of air you'd roll over everything there kinda float over I got them on my murry for 20+ years an it creeps threw everything
I'm worried that thing is going to throw you off, I'd want a better way to set on it. Only mentioned it because I slid off the vinyl seat of my mower on a hillside and broke my hand.
Definitely could, but dusl ATV tires would put way too much leverage on transaxle. Dual motocross knobbies wouldnt be so bad for leverage, but would be right back to terribly rough ride quality
It might eventually be for sale. When I first started building it, I questioned my own judgement about it. I am no spring chicken anymore- maybe I should not be bouncing around off road on a machine with no suspension.
This thing turned out awesome 🤘🤘
I agree!
Hell yeah brother. That’s awesome 😂
When are we going to get part 2 of the Cutlass

Not so much looking for more RPM's, just quicker throttle response.

This is one of the coolest builds I've ever seen! Nice work👍🇺🇸
STOP!! I'm blushing!!
You should make a shirt outa this piece of beautiful art great work man
So epic! If anything ever deserves to be on stickers or a t-shirt it's this.
If my channel was big enough to warrant merchandise, that would be a great idea.
Done a great job, looks good to, best of luck in the race's, all the best to you and your loved ones

That drawing idea is super cool man.
It would work for so many situations.
I really appreciate you showing that.
Common trick for us dirt poor bastards building rollcages without computer aid
Turned out well! Would love to see more of the RONchero! With STEVE! of course
Yeah, I am really wanting to get back to the Ronchero myself, but STEVE!!! will be making no more appearances unfortunately.
WOW long time coming, but it quite the machine, look forward to your next mud mower project. BTW you are one fine fabricator and solution builder.

Could not agree with you more. It was kind of fun building it andctrying it out, but I want to go out and really give it a good romp with a group.
Прикольный трактор, удачи в дальнейших его доработках!👍
That is amazing. I could never do that kind of work or even get a good mud mower candidate. Good job!
Dont be so shure. I used to fab some VERY scetchy stuff a long time ago(some would argue that I still do). You gotta start somewhere
If you want more throttle response, try one of those other holes you drilled in the bell crank linkage. Remember when you literally said you wanted it at the least sensitive setting? 😂 all in good fun but that did make me laugh a bit.
Love it really cool. Cant wait to see the race in the spring. You should reach out to cars and cameras and invite them to the race.

Heaviest go pro mount ever! Lol this thing is awesome!
Made the mount out of the lightest angle iron I had from an old bedframe! Went with three supports to try to keep flexing/ vibration to a minimum
Looks great! Sure makes me want to build an off-road Wheel Horse!
I find myself wanting to build a WheelHorse myself if a cheap enough one ever comes my way.
@@misfittoys8883 they were built tough and simple, with many “off the shelf” items, bearings, etc. My channel has quite a bit of Wheel Horse stuff if you need any inspiration 👍
Oh and hole saw in vice set up. Bloody legend
Faily common piece of equipment for notching pipe/tubing. Still needs to be used with some respect
It would be sweet to build one of those out of something like a John Deere 655 or similar (cheaper) 4x4 tractor.
Your machine is awesome.
A fairly cheap Kubota 4x4 Lawn Tractor poped up on marketplace a few months back, but I managed to resist the temptation somehow!
crazy build ... also, sounds a bit like a modern Harley with this exhaust ! nice !
V Twin power!!
The cats are the real hosts. But i always imagine steve sitting in front of a mic, talking while you just do the stuff. lol
That would be epic
Oh hell yeah I've been waiting to see this thing again can't wait till you're done with it so far it's been an epic build.
Pretty much done for now. As I play with it, I might make changes in the future.
Also I still love the wheels you made for that! They're so frickin cool!
Lind of a shame I wont be using the rear ones after all the work I put into them. Might throw them back on once in a while when I REALLY feel like trying to hurt myself.

Hi. A tether switch might be a good idea. Helluva rig.
Good idea?? Good idea would have been to not build it at all, but we cant all be logical, responsible humans.
Awesome! It reminds me of a sporting trials car 😎
Someone else told me it looks like a model T speedster
I love the build!! Keep doing the good work sir!
Of course I will! What else would I do, watch sportsball??

Thats a good point. That cast pulley isnt light.

Hi just subscribed JYD told me to 😉 great upload.
Thanks, Chief.
You have the clutch on the wrong side of the belt you want it on the loss side not the torque side badass build though cool
Bugs to
Engine rotates CCW when looking at pulley, so it is on "lose" side.
Ralph Nader’s office is trying to contact you. Cool build
A friend commented a couple of years ago "why does everything you build look like it wants to kill you?"
Love those wheels!
Thanks
this looks really cool!
Thats what I was going for!
Great idea for farm. Separate motor and a mowing blade. 20hp Honda or something. Would cut some lawns.
If I dont stick with the tractor wheeling, it could just end up my little rig for going up and grabbing parts from the vehicles in field
You should make some kind of basket that sits over the motor on the front so if you take it shows and stuff you have somewhere to put stuff plus it would be handy if you're going around on your property and put chainsaws on and weed eaters and stuff like that or even an extra gas can
It might come to that if I dont find/build a rear rack.
Neat machine. I'm not quite that extreme with my mower haha.
I am pretty much of the opinion that it was not worth going to as much effort as I did.
I think trying to get the front wheels pulling would help a lot when crawling over sticks and rocks maybe a 4+4 lawn mower front suspension would work
Shure would help, no doubt about it. The fun is the challenge though.
@@misfittoys8883 agreed
Pretty damn cool
I love that. I have a 35 Chevy truck that I might use r that
You have my blessing- not that I could stop you anyway!!
Thank u R share your video
I won something
Thats not from me. DO NOT REPLY TO IT!!
If you make the back wheel base 2 inches wider either side it will make it a lot more stable
I had a pair of 1.5 wheel spacers around that I was going to stick on there, but I can only find one of them now!
thats a lil beast
Beastly enough it will likely hurt me!
Just cut another piece of aluminum the correct size for your switch and then mount that plate on top of the existing plate it’ll look great
I think I will just embrace the hack on this one
put old atc tires on it fill them with water half a pound to two pounds of air you'd roll over everything there kinda float over I got them on my murry for 20+ years an it creeps threw everything
On the front?
I'm worried that thing is going to throw you off, I'd want a better way to set on it. Only mentioned it because I slid off the vinyl seat of my mower on a hillside and broke my hand.
Some side supports/bolsters in the seat would be great
@@misfittoys8883 I drive a forktruck and they also have no suspension, it is built into the seat. The seats also have wings to help hold you on.
Couldn't you put duals on the back? Not really into this kinda stuff but this thing looks sick.
Definitely could, but dusl ATV tires would put way too much leverage on transaxle. Dual motocross knobbies wouldnt be so bad for leverage, but would be right back to terribly rough ride quality
I would love to have that

Maybe less air in the tires, like other extreme offroad vehicle's
Running 5 in the rears now. Next time I have it out, I am going to try about 2.5
