I am completely obsessed with everything you do with all your amazing hardwork restorations!!! 52 year old lady all the way from New Zealand 🎉😊❤Also obsessed with sandblasting & compressed air.
You know in this world you have people who can , and people who cant. I am the latter but watching people like you is how even if we pick up one little thing from you then its all very worthwhile , and its how we learn. So thank you for sharing your informative video with us Sir 👍 Tam.
Together with a brilliant auto mechanic friend I produced a series of DVDs on classic car engine rebuilds, so I salute you for the amount of time and professionalism it took to shoot and edit this. Bravo. It was a pleasure to watch. Just one minor criticism: this is a British machine filmed in Britain - it's a silencer, not a muffler 🧐.
Fantastic video. I feel you have completed the overhaul on that mower that we all would love to do. Great informative narration and it's great to see you taking so much pride in your work. Thanks for sharing.
I have never heard of it or even seen one like here in seven mile Ohio USA But I love how the mower deck throws out the front and rear. Job well done my friend!! Really great video quality too.
From an engineering perspective I think those chain brushes are actually quite ingenious. Most American designers would find them crude but I say if something works then you go with it. It's nice to get a close look at this machinery. Thank you for the post.
Oh the blade balancer ❤. I was once poor when i was first married and i had an old Hayter push mower with a terribly worn blade, built up with weld and used a screw in the bench to rebalance it 😊
I'm from Kentucky, USA an I probably see 2-6 different riding mowers every week and I've never seen a mower quite like this one. It's a cool mower, almost looks like a older Kubota or snapper
these are nice mowers so very useful to see work done on them,, it did not warrant a full resto but there was enough done to make it serviceable with confidence for a good many years nice one,,,,
My 38" 16hp Countax must be over 25 years old and still going strong, being used every week. The powered collector is, in my opinion, a much better option for the UK over the mulching deck, as we get massive grass growth and tons of leaves and debris all over our lawns due the the amount of trees we have. I always coat exposed aluminum in motor oil to stop it corroding, I know it attracts muck but after a few uses it isn't noticeable and it really protects the aluminium. I am still on the original belts apart from the serpentine deck belt and the powered collector !! (just wait for the comments on that one) Nice Video, brilliant production - you must have the patience of a saint!
Ha Ha same tractor for me as well and almost identical age! Burnt out a few serpentine belts cutting 2 foot high grass when we have been away for months and have just replaced the starter solonoid. I have re-painted the underside of the deck twice and I also use spray on underseal. This wears off after a few years but I am cutting 1.9 acres most weeks. My 16HP is a single cylinder B&S but it seems most are twins.
PA LAWN GUY> Great video. Painting the cutting blades improves the aerodynamics of the blade and hence the grass flow. It also reduces the power needed to turn them. At least until they build up with adhered grass. that is why it is best to clean and paint the blades when they are sharpened and balanced. the best to you in your work.
Awesome work. Your videos help me get through my night shift. Every night I log in and hope there is a new video on your channel. Keep up the good work.
Thorough job, well done. I've had a Countax K14 twin since new in 1993. Every year it needs attention and something renewed, but I wouldn't have anything else. New ones don't seem anywhere near built so well.
I have a C600H purchased new 2008 with 16 hp Honda V twin OHC has 305 Hrs still looks good and stored in side has 38" mulch deck and was converted to hand control with a mobility scooter seat (high back & arm rests 90° seat rotation with locking mech. seat belt and chest strap) I'm a C7 Tetraplegic and my Countax has never let me down still has original battery. I live in West Otago South Island New Zealand Have a Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year
I Did A Restoration Of My Countax C800H. Including Deleting The Electric Deck Lift Which Went Wrong 3 Times. And Decided To Convert It To A Manuel Deck Lift. As It Was Very Expensive The Dial-Height Module Etc. But Ive Owned 4 Countax Mowers And Think There Fab Love Your Videos.!!
Awesome how it looks, and the amount of work you put in to them. I would love to do that to some of them, but health won’t let me. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the all videos l like your restoring videos , survival challenge, and survival role-play. You put a lot of time in them and I much Appreciate them thanks again
I´ts such a relief to see that someone is actually taking proper care of the mower deck, and not only the rest like a lot of "cheap" Americans do. This is a MOWER, not an engine with a seat and four wheels to ride around your fat gut. Well done!
nice video . i have a c300 and always good to use these videos to see how to fix things and change things if you don't have a manual . your cutting deck leveler is different though and looks a newer machine than mine 1997
Hi! Very good job indeed! We have a Countax C600 (I think...) in Italy, it's exactly the same, just with different engine, the 16cv twin cyl Honda! Thank you but thank you very much... now I have a complete video service manual for it! By the way this is one of the best mower I've ever seen: we have it from 2002 (has been produced in 2001...) and it's now in better condition than yours! We clean it everytime and take it in a closed garage but it works a lot every year... from 18 years!
That was both very nicely done and a joy to watch this refurbishing project. The only problem I see is you now have to build a bigger powder coating oven so you can bake an entire lawn mower chassis. I love to powder coat but so many times my typical kitchen converted oven won't allow me to powder coat large items. Thumbs Up for sure...
Well done, have to say my ocd would make me go even further but this was really good. Seen so many people just half ass the job. Had a Husquarna top of the range with 122 cm mower deck and atwin 22 hp Kawa engine and hydro +hydraulik lift of front deck and sevo of course. still running strong after 20 years though I sold it when I moved into a flat. I look like inspector dreyfuss in a pink panther movie when I see it and it is not cared for as I did. Believe it is the same gearbox/axle, the tough torq they both used back then.
So happy to see another video uploaded. I never watch really long ones. 20 minutes is about my limit. But when I saw it was yours I knew right away I would watch every second. I’ll be supporting your patron after the holidays most definitely
i like your videos they are straight to the point no dilly dallying like some fix it videos on here i'm about to do a couple of ride on mowers myself so these havee inspired me . then i might source a couple more to fix up as well cheers ..
I would enjoy accomplishing this project myself except threading the chain. I am wondering if a strip of perforated mettle would work as well. I know the area needs to breath air. What do you think, or any other thoughts?
The webbing structure on the gear box @ 46:25 is a work of engineering art. Btw Great videos and good you care about the environment...perhaps when temporarily sealing things, use an elastic band rather than plastic ties?
That was nice of the equipment company to give you the press for your shop that is a nice looking ride on feild and brush mower glad it has a Honda engine on it the mower you work on in today's video is arien mower company in here in the USA
Great job must be very satisfying to get these machines running considering the shape that you get them in, this ride one looks like a very good one and I suppose that it would have been expensive new. Love watching you channel and always look forward to the next instalment kind regards John Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺
As a "Yank" I found this fascinating. Love that brush cutting deck and diagram for a rear PTO. You'd never find those on something labeled "Lawn Tractor" here in the states. I want to put agricultural tires on it and go knock down the weeds on a vacant lot.
I can't believe the amount of work you did on that tractor. Amazing job. I've never heard of that brand before in Canada. Looks built very tough for its size. Might not be the most easily serviceable but that is secondary to having something that can last. 👍
Had a Countax in the late 90's in Tasmania (Aust). It was equal to the best ride-on mowers we ever had and way better than the worst. We had a couple different Victa ride-on's, a Toro and a Husqvarna as well and all of them had weak front axles compared to the Countax. The Countax was a very solid mower.
Well done, love the b-roll footage of the geese. Yeah I don't know that I've ever seen a Countax here in the US, but if it runs on a Honda engine, we probably have it under a different name. Great video, love watching renovations.. Jimmy
Very nicely done, sir. You inspire me to freshen up my Swisher Big Mow. To answer your question we do not have that brand here in the US. Not that I've seen anyway.
28:54 Never heard of Countax in America before (first time I’ve even heard the name). We have dozens of different brands of lawnmowers/snow blowers/lawn tractors. Can we all appreciate how much time goes into these videos along with making the vids for the Daggerwin channels 👍👍😉
Glad you like them!
It would be nice to see it working out in your tree field.
Absolutely! Dag started in shorts and t-shirt and finished with a wooly hat, warm fleece and trousers!
What a restore job mass amounts of time in that one ☝️ well done 👏, from Scotland
WAIT,..>WHAT.,,, HE DOES MORE VIDEOS?

A lot of us find dry ice to be a great help installing bearings and shafts. It shrinks the diameter a couple thousands, parts drop in.
Great work, looks much better since your restoration. Looks like it'll last another 30 years.
Was it worth it, time and money probably not but stick with it two thumbs up . Well done !!!!!!!!
Awesome restoration, good complete front to rear service, nice tidy work and very enjoyable to watch.
I'd say the results speak for themselves - WELL worth the effort, and a very nice job!
Pure mechanical bliss dagger! Thanks bud! Hope you’re staying safe during these tough times sir! 🍻🍀

Huge amount of time and effort but the mower looks great. Man, that powder-coat! I wish I had a set-up for that. Such a beautiful finish after baking.

Wow I never knew that Countax made it to Austraila!
made it to New Zealand too. got the same diesel you did up in last video
Otro gran trabajo realizado con excelentes resultados en este tractor corta cesped britanico, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.
Being in the US i have never seen a mower deck with chains, i guess you have a better concern for safety than we do.
Wow at that brush hog deck none of our smaller lawn mowers have that option here in the USA and Great work on restoring it!
Your very welcome , guess I’ll keep my comments to my self , you do Avery good video and I learned some things. Thanks.
Nice job on the riding mower it running like new
I like the way you clean the machine where you bring them to the inside the shop
Hey what type of paint remover are you using? The stuff you brush on then scrape off. It looks to work very well. The orange crap I use is horrible.

You want the underside of the mower deck as glass smooth as possible to make as few areas for the grass cuttings to build up.
