I’ve been going to snowmass my entire life and I got lotta things to takeaway. I I like pretty much every idea on here except the Village Express one. I don’t think it’s necessary to upgrade, sheer bliss and Sam’s knob from 4 to 6 too btw but anyway, I like the idea of going from 4 to 6 on the Elk camp chair and Alpine Springs chairs because it certainly can boost capacity on those respective chairs. Adding a chair called burnt mountain too would be very much needed because not everyone wants to hike up to long shot after getting off the elk camp chair and having that would prevent those who don’t want to from doing so. Now, the Village Express, I personally am not happy about the idea of turning it into a gondola because no one wants to have to take on and off their skis or snowboards and with everyone doing that it would only increase crowds at the base and force the cabins to pause a lot simply because of the peace being too rigorous. The current village express has only been here since 2005 as you said so hopefully this doesn’t happen anytime soon because it is still relatively new equipment with probably a good 8-10 years left of good service (until they will have to replace it with newer technology either with new chairs or a new gondola cabin as the current ones will be aging beyond their useful life) and 10 minutes tbh isn’t a bad time for going all the way and saving only one minute seems pointless. Saving 5 minutes or more would be one thing but saving only 1 sounds very unnecessary. Although, I’m not necessarily opposed to it, I do think it is unnecessary to upgrade sheer bliss, Sam’s knob, assay hill or two creeks from 4 to 6 because all them are still in good working condition and the current sheer bliss is still relatively new having only been here since 2008 and the fact not many people use it. Sorry for long message. I’ve got a long history with snowmass so I’m just saying what I think would be reasonable and if I were them I would do everything on here except the village express one (at least not for another 8 ish years cause while it’ll need to be replaced eventually, it still has a good amount of time and longevity left in it)
