Nice work mate and just saw the update. I used an Ikea Milsbo to setup an indoor greenhouse, then my next project was a vertical garden wall inside another milsbo. I'm thinking of now converting the original one to something similar to what you have. thanks for sharing
Dude this is pretty awesome. I saw a case like this before and thought about a terrarium but didn't have the balls to pull the trigger. I'm looking again after this....
I would love to see someone build something like this that mimics the weather out side. It would be easy to do rain sunlight fog lighting with led lights the only thing it can't do is snow. I was thinking maybe having some kind of thin lcd screen that can show it snowing. It can be attached to a smartphone and actually replicate the wether out side. You could also have settings for controlling the features. I love the sound of rain so i could make it rain to fall asleep. You can also add a small speaker for thunder sounds as well. Something way smaller was on Kickstarter along time ago but never went into production. This would be so cool. I would buy it in a second.
Seems like a simple but great execution. I like the minimalist design, not sure I could stick with it myself though. It would be too tempting for me to add more stuff to it over time.
Great idea ! The lighting might need a tweek. They light up the wall more than they do those beautiful plants and scape in your system. Nice work though ! You've got me thinking !
Literally tape and silicone. The tape comes off when the silicone is dry. The multiple angles and good adhesive surfaces make it really sturdy. It’s still going strong with not a single problem. Stick around for an update soon!
Great! I have been thinking about the same project, but I am a little worried about the wood on top and at the bottom. I noticed you protected those areas well (and smart!) but have you so far noticed any problems with the wood?
This particular piece came from a mangrove swamp but it was hanging above ground level so strayed dry. Good pieces can be rare to find. That’s what makes them good! 😉
It's discontinued...I went there to pick it up and all they have is the floor models... they told me that they didn't even know why the floor models are even still out there...
No way!? I’m devastated. I wonder if there’s anything similar that can be modified? I will visit IKEA and check it out soon. Thanks for letting me know.
You got an hard-wired LED close to your camera in this one mate? Awesome video by the way, I keep meaning to do something like this every time I go into a shop and see the display cabinets :D

Glad I could inspire
I've gotten some great ideas for my paludarium build. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant idea, well done. Looks great.
Greetings from Cumbria in the U.K.
stay safe and well.
Thanks so much! It was a lot of fun to build. 😊

Woah some epic ideas and creativity here. You should do it!

I've added much more to it since! You're not wrong. keep posted for updates...
Wow this is amazing. Your work is a great inspiration
Was just wondering if this was possible-- how cool
Damn, that must be the cheapest way to get such a tall paludarium.
Thanks for the idea and the guide!
My pleasure 😊
That's fantastic! I'd love to see an update
It’s looking very lush! I will do an update soon.
How do you have so few subscribers? This is amazing! Keep up the good work!
Turned out great, perhaps you could cover black hose and cords with something white, it would make them virtually disappear

Hi! Yes, I have recently moved them so the light are inside the cabinet pointing straight down. It’s a much better setup. Thanks for the feedback ☺️
Is there anything you would have done differently, build and waterproofing specifically?
Only thing was lighting. The lights are now inside the cabinet. Everything else was s still going amazingly strong! Stick around for an update soon.
pb is awesome
This is awesome but the lighting needs sorting out.
Check out the update on my channel! Lighting changed to suit
The idea is very cool, how do you deal with mold? Wet wood will get white/green mold eventually
I didn’t get any mould on the timber. Perhaps because it’s mangrove wood? There’s a video update out now on this build. Thanks for watching ☺️
What did you use to join the pieces together? Is it just tape and silicone because it looks like you're using something else?

So far, so good!
@@plbgreen Great! Keep the plants growing! :)
How do you find that kind of wood? Everything I find outside on the ground is rotting.

Iove it. Well done
Wonder if this held up. it's a year later...
It definitely has! Check out a post in my Instagram as of today 😀
