It is clearly the niece’s strategy to expose the people around her and the guardianship to show the court that the guardianship needs to be transferred to the family.

The family didn't care about her until its time to fight for her money. No one ever moved in with her and barely visited her. They were all interviewed and deemed unfit for conservatorship. Her son found out she had dementia and funneled 100k to himself for a birthday party. The brother has always been on bad terms, selling stories about her to the media. The sister doesnt seem to be bothered and can't give an explanation as to why she was shut out. After her mom died, she now has no one left who loves her outside of her money, not even her own famiy. wow..
The guardianship obviously isn't benefitting her, they were quick to file to "protect" her money but have her locked up in NYC feeding her alcohol with no medical help so they can drain her, but her family is shady too from watching this. sad.

Wendy had a 3 picture deal wirh Lifetime and owed them one more picture. Therefore, Wendy decided to do the documentary and called her friends and convinced them to participate. The documentary started out being Wendy's comeback story leading to her starting a podcast. Initially her son and sister did not participate because they didnt think Wendy should be doing a podcast. After a while Lifetime realized that Wendy was sicker than they thought and stopped filming in April 2023. It was only after Lifetime stopped filming did the guardian agree that Wendy should go to a wellness facility. Apparently, she has been there since May 2023. However, her family is not allowed to contact her but Wendy can call them. All of the footage was filmed after the courts appointed a guardian for Wendy who was not a family member. However, you never see the appointed guardian checking on Wendy and Wendy is in the house by herself and not going to doctors or eating well. However, when Wendy lived with her son for almost a year, she was not drinking, went to the doctor regularly, ate well, exercised and visited her other family members. Wendy's guardianship is up for review by the courts this year. Therefore, Wendy and her family decided to use the footage as evidence to have the court appointed guardian removed. That's why Wendy's son and sister ended up participating in the documentary.

The Dr. Jekyll and Hyde behavior, mood swings, meanness, rationalizing, etc. However, I didn't realize even a FUNCTIONAL alcoholic can rot their own brain to this proportion and it's irreversible. In the doc, Wendy said to the camera, "Everyone drinks, so why can't I?". Like, ma'am - you are at the latter stage of the illness and you still don't accept. I doubt the family is equipped to manage her treatment and that manager guy looked foolish even trying.

What I took away from the documentary is, Wendy Williams was put under a guardianship BY the executives at her show. When her sister and son said they had communication with the guardian up until their focus ( the family)was to get Wendy better health wise and she wasn’t coming back to New York until then, that’s when the breakdown happened. It wasn’t until then that all the stories about her son taking money from her even came out. Her family ( sister, son, niece, and nephew) seem genuinely concerned and willing to take on the responsibility of caring for Wendy. Will is definitely putting on for the cameras and counting on the guardianship to stay as is so he can continue to be paid! Shawn is definitely an enabler! I hope and pray her family will fight to get Wendy back under their care!

Yes I watched the full documentary. Her son and sister said specifically that they were in communication with the show and was in agreement that Wendy needed to focus on her health. However, the show was more focused on getting Wendy better to come back to the show. Her son wanted her to stay in Miami to focus completely on her health and put business on the back burner. Her sister said the same, it wasn’t until then that she was ordered to come back to New York and placed under the guardianship . Go back and watch it both said the same thing it wasn’t until both was focused on getting her well that communication became difficult and a wall was put up

@@blah21blah22blah23 Sir or ma'am, i recommend you go watch the part of the documentary where they specifically talk about how the guardianship came about. THE BANK, were having concerns(ridiculous in my opinion) about the money being spent by her son and family on her, and even though her son explained what the money being spent was on and why it was being spent, the bank still requested the guardianship. Don't try to make things more complicated or deeper than they are. The show-Debmar, have enough on their plate moving forward than trying to protect Wendy's money. That's between her, her family and her bank. Meaning the Bank, took matters in their own hands even if they didn't need to.

At the end of day, we shouldn't have expectation on how someone handles a situation as crazy and delicate as this. The family is probably doing their best. Especially when they have no power in the situation. We need to get back to how wells fargo is able to put a hold on her whole account. Also how her publicist and management is handling her situation. I find it very suspicious that all of a sudden, she's under a conservatorship. Which she was highly against for brittany two years ago. I think that's scary inside itself.

I don’t like Lifetime at all but on this one I can say they litteraly saved Wendy’s life. If it wasn’t for that documentary I am pretty sure they would not have sent Wendy into a facility. According to the documentary, it was mentioned she has alcohol induced dementia, as well as lymphedema affecting her feet and mobility, Graves’ disease, and recently Aphasia, all before she officially turns 60 years of age. While I’m not a doctor I’ve seen many women deteriorate rapidly from silicon poisoning due to breast implants, and its typically something most doctors and specialists overlook when trying to diagnosis a variety of ailments that show up gradually over time. For Wendy’s age it’s all too strange all these problems have surfaced one after the other, while there’s no history of it in her family, and whatever her treatment she should be allowed to keep her dignity regardless if someone has to do it for her. Whatever your stance on Wendy no one should be put on display in this manner. Her manager all the way on down to the guardianship and family should have fought like lions to bury this entire documentary. The fact a guardianship exists for her, that is not family controlled, should be completely against the law, clearly they are squeezing every drop out of her possible.

I think her son and nephew felt awkward. Wendy didn’t seem to remember her nephew very well and her son seemed uncomfortable to do this in front of the cameras. People with dementia can be very unpredictable. Idk I think he just wants what’s best for her but he’s only 23.

It's just weird we all have to see people's business on the internet now. Stuff should be kept private. I'm just saying.

That documentary was heartbreaking. Wendy wants to reclaim the fame that she once had and the people around her let her believe that it is going to happen, but it won't. Perhaps they think that if they let her think that she is getting a new show that will motivate her to stop drinking and improve her health.

I believe they are only letting her think it will happen for her because they want to continue to get paid.
If they let her know her reality then she no longer needs a manager or a publicist. They are freeloading off of her.

Putting make-up on Wendy for a photoshoot (???) when she was clearly out of it to sit in that damn purple chair broke me.
