This is simply a commentary pointing out behaviors that occurred when someone was later proven to have lied. Every liar displays slightly different behaviors, and a baseline should be established prior to observing subtle changes in behavior evoked when the person is lying. This commentary is not intended to serve as a functional behavior assessment (FBA) nor as a formal analysis which is required to determine why behaviors occur. The opinions expressed by Brett DiNovi, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, do not reflect the opinions of Behavior Analyst Certification Board. #hackinghumanbehavior

I am happy these videos keep being made. Making others aware of these warning signs of deceit is extremely important. Working in this field, I have unfortunately had far too many experiences of having clients who have dealt with sexual abuse and trauma due to their disabilities or inability to always advocate for themselves. By knowing these warning signs of lying during screenings or interviews when accusations are be made is extremely beneficial. If anyone in BDA ends up making a special interest group on this topic I would love to get involved.
