If we'd just all made pickups, the world would be a peaceful place!

I'm a ham radio operator and an aspiring bass player. I love all your videos and I could get more excited about music electronics than radios because so many people appreciate pickups and preamps .

Nice to see a fellow ham operator. Not many around these days. Got my license when I was 12. Dylan is the man!

Thanks to another video of yours, I bought the Mojotone winder straight away as my first one. It’s was so easy to create my very first strat pickup that also sounds good that I cannot thank you enough!

Would be very interesting to hear why you don't publish your measurements, as you mentioned in the part regarding the multimeters!
    Thanks for the insightful overview!

Hi Dylan, thanks for all the videos and great information. I'd love to go on on of your pickup winding courses, but live in Europe, so would love you to do an online course sometime. Cheers

Nice vid, For anyone who wants to know those Stewmac mags are great for single coil pole pieces but they are not strong enough to properly charge an A5 humbucker bar magnet. I use them in my workshop all the time

Hello Dylan, thanks for the useful video, I was wondering how are the little rings called where the wires are soldered? They are pressed right? I can't find them anywhere...

Thanks so much for this video. I’m considering getting the mojotone winder, and heard it has a gauss meter. Can this replace the separate handheld meter?

I build 3 string cigar box guitars in Tucson Az. What windings # would be best for 3 poles? Thanks for inspiration and your entrepreneurial spirit.

DYLAN, thanks for making the video. Kevin Beller from Seymour Duncan uses a Sweep Generator, Oscilloscope and Distortion Analyzer to measure the Q Resonance Frequency of guitar pickups. What type of Distortion Analyzer do you use to measure the Q Resonance frequency of your DylanTalksTone pickups? Click here to watch Kevin Beller making a 3 coil humbucker for James Jared Nichols and Fender Marauder also uses a 3 coil humbucker which you should do a YT lesson about 3 coil humbuckers pickups.

Hi Dylan, sorry t trouble you where can I purchase a mains industrial magnetier that you use..... regards George

Good Stuff made here. How long do the magnetizing magnets last? Years? Or must they be replaced every couple of years or is it dependent on how many pickups you make?

great video as always Dylan! I have a question. I've been thinking about how to make coil-splits actually good and i came to this idea: winding a regular coil, tap it out at certain dc value to match the second coil and then keep winding to a higher dc to use as a split, would that work? I definitely can't be the first one to think about this but i didn't find anything like this online, thank you! keep up the good work i love watching!
edit1: neverminded I've just watched your very own video about the Centerpunch!

I like your podcast. My question is, is there a book I should get that discusses pickup theory and construction?
