I remember a news segment from around 2008 when I was little saying the average parent could only afford 10 gifts per child and how tragic that was. I remember at the time thinking that was the saddest thing I'd ever heard. Now I'm a mom and I look back on that and think what the heck is wrong with our society.
I’m not a christian but I find it so lovely you celebrate the true meaning of christmas and prioritise spending time with each other over lots of toys that’ll break or cause clutter
I love that you gave a review of what is still being used from last year. I feel that if people are intentional and buy less, the likelihood of it being used increases. When kids get too much, it becomes overwhelming and even open-ended toys that have a ton of play value get lost in the clutter. I would rather buy less and make sure that I get my moneys worth. I’m going to remember that silicone mat for play-dough and slime.
This is my first time to your channel. First, I LOVE that you keep Jesus first! Second, I love the way you do Christmas; so much of your video reminded me of myself!
Great gifts. The age you're kids are is perfect. I remember at babies ages all they want is the Amazon box to play with anyhow., It's when they get to preteens that it's starts to become more challenging lol. That's where i am. Enjoying my 5 year old also who is just happy with anything new. (I have 5,9, 13 year old boys)
For the dog peeing on carpet situation I know for cats there is a spray you can use that will make it so the cat thinks another one marked its territory there in hopes it doesn’t pee so maybe there is a similar product for dogs !
Absolutely no offence intended but, at the age your children are now, your budget is very do-able. They don’t really understand what’s going on and they have no concept of what is going on in the rest of the world. Their needs are very simple. As they get older things will get a lot more complicated 😄. However, what you are doing is putting in place an ongoing structure of managing expectations and implementing a firm base around which you can instill in your children your beliefs and family values. 👏🏻. You did a great job with the gifts, I’m sure you’ll have 2 very happy little boys on Christmas Day 😊.

It’s so wild! I saw an article recently saying on average kids get 70 toys per year! 🤯

Yes! The box is his favorite part!
Love the gift ideas!
Thank you! 💛
That's amazing! Planning for Christmas during the summer! How much money did you save?
I am glad to see others try to keep Christmas on Jesus
I feel like I saved a lot! It’ll be harder planning so far ahead once they’re older!
When your kids get a little older, I find the some of the best toy deals are in October. Just an FYI. I shop year round too. Good job!
Thanks for the tips! 💛

Thank you! 💛 I know they have no idea what’s really going on but I thrive on systems! I figured the sooner I start the easier.
