🤣🤣 That was a great little movie! I've had Armor Shied 9 on our 2019 truck since new, still holding up excellent. I also put it on my 2013 White Jeep, dirt really doesn't stick to the paint. I always recommend this product. The only down side is the prep and applying it. It is an all day job. But worth it!!

I don't agree with the application method first shown in the video. You want to avoid lifting the application block while applying the coating. This easily causes high spots. It happened to me the first time I applied a ceramic coating. You should keep the application block on the paint surface and move the block back and forth over the surface, only lifting it when you're completely done coating the panel.

I have my bottle ready to go but I'm just not ready to spend all day doing the prep yet. But it will be worth it, I know.

Thank you!!!! Finally got the answer I was looking for!!! My car has vinyl strips on the hood and I’ve been looking all over UA-cam to see if this ceramic coating was safe for vinyl. So happy to hear it is!!

Very easy to use and great results. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the microfiber as it was producing a lot of lint. I guess, after a wash or two it will be usable. It should be in the instructions. thanks

Awesome video! Liked the voice over and the instructions. I have been using Armor Shield for about 9 months now and I am really liking it. I use thumbtacks along the edge to keep the micro suede on the block to keep it from moving around. I also have about 20 of those black "Avalon King" stickers!

Nice video. Should touch on what the texture of the product should be after letting it sit for 1-5 min on the paint. IE: When you go back to wipe it down, should it be smooth or slightly tacky? Are you just wiping it a little and leaving a trace of moisture (product) behind or wiping until all excess moisture is gone? Thanks. 👍

Thanks, I received the kit, followed the instructions and went a bit overboard washing it twice, clay barred, decontaminated and washed it again with the kit shampoo. Then I applied the product and WOW. I was not expecting it to restore all the plastic on my SUV. So I applied it to the windows.. WOW again. So I applied it to the interior of the doors (Holden TRAX 2013 - or Chevrolet in USA). I purchased this second hand and replaced the headlamp assembly, and replaced the racing stripes as the paint was too faded to leave them off. I put this on everything and my car is so shiny it is like a mirror. I did not do any paint correction, or even fill in the few stone chips. I just put it on and it is fantastic. The only thing I could not put it on was the tires as they are HUNGRY and soak it all up and well.. I did not clean them as good as I could. So I used a cheap tire black spray on those. Now to leave the car for two days to cure, and presto. I still have over a quarter of the bottle left too so I may touch up some areas in the future. I will know once I spray water on it after it has cured.

Just applied and wow it was easy. Only thing i would say is buy more plush microfiber towels for buffing off. Thankfully i had some new ones.

I finally got enough time to work with this product. I washed my truck yesterday. The only part that really doesn't have a ton of wax is the top but being an Escalade there's plenty of real estate up there. It's in the garage so no worries with anything getting it dirty overnight. Also the top is what I wax the least so I figure it possible needs this product the most. I mixed alcohol and water and wiped it down. However, there were tons of little circles of calcium all over. The alcohol does not dissolve them. I knew I had to remove them which I usually do with some wax, but you can't have wax if you're going to apply this. I took a mixture of CLR and water, I winged it, and soaked a rag , wrung it out and wiped the top of the truck thoroughly following with alcohol. I then looked and all the marks were gone. I followed the directions and found the product to be a lot less intimidating to apply than I thought. The hardest part was working on the ladder. It looks very shinny but it does not feel as slippery to the touch as I imagined it would feel. Tomorrow I will let it sit in the sun for a while. Temperature today was in the 90's so I waited about a minute and then buffed it as per the instructions. The instructions said to apply a second coat so I may do that tomorrow, then it'll be the test of time.

Is the one microfiber towel cloth provided enough to wipe off the entire car or should I expect to have a few more in reserve?

I might be ocd, but I use 2 per panel, initial wipe down and then buff remaining. Then 2 more etc.

Check out the swirls at 4:15; don't apply until you get those swirl marks out with proper compound and polishing. Otherwise, nice tutorial.

I touched the coating with my finger about 20 min after I applied it, would that affect the coating?

The paint on this vehicle could use some TLC before the application 3:52

Thanks for the nice tutorial. I'd like to split the application onto multiple (perhaps smaller) parts. Is there a visual way how to check if specific part was already coated? I'd like to avoid "blind spots" if possible. The coating is still on the way, so I did not have a chance to test it myself (yet).

I bought this a few years ago and just now opened it up for application. The microfiber is sticking to the finish when wiping down. Did the product expire in the bottle?

do i really have to apply 2 coats , do i get the same protection with just 1 coat

    • @LovepreetAujla
      @LovepreetAujla 3 роки тому +1

1 coat will give you the exact same shine, protection, and slickness as 2 coats. Some people do 2 coats to go over any spots they miss or to try and lengthen the life of the coating. It's not necessary for 2 if you prep the paint right.

They left out a ton of steps. Like paint correcting the whole car if its not new. Getting rid of all the wax, clay bar the the whole car. Prep spray the whole car. They failed to mention if you wait to long before you polish it off you ll spend hours and hours getting it off and re doing it or taking it to a body shop. Last thing, whats up with the black gloves all these videos have. Looks cool i guess.
