Well done Chad you're playing is looking really good almost as good as your mailbox LOL Well I have you been able to put it in the air yet? All right I'm trying to catch up for lost time God bless youit's been awhile and looking forward to hear from you maybe we could have a phone conversation do you still have my. If you comment and my most recent video I'll be sure to get it much sooner than later 💥💥👍
Yea glad to see you got some color on it at last buddy. I was kind of surprised how much of a mist was in the air while you were painting. The booth looked like it worked pretty good but i wasn't there in person like you. Thanks for sharing. God Bless!!
nashguy207 - Thanks bro! Yeah paint booth works great. I added filters on the outside of the booth over where the exit filters are to help with any overspray that escapes. I had all my doors up and open with fans on blowing what little bit of over spray outside. But yeah it got kinda foggy in there for a min. Lol.
It works GREAT!!! If you order one the link is in the description of this video. The other ones out there are not build of this strong material and they are not use the double stitch like they say they do.
Brian Procter -Good morning brother!! I hope everything is going fantastic up there in Canada 🇨🇦 😁👍🏼 I appreciate you checking it out. It’s all down hill from here. 😁
Chad, how does the floor of these inflatable booths stand up? I saw something that looked like big holes when you were done. Would you recommend putting down a tarp inside to catch overspray?
The floors hold up great when on a flat Smooth service. I put down the clear 6 mil plastic from Home Depot because spraying Urethan paints it makes the floor sticky. But what you think are holes is where I pulled paint of the plasticine the floor. Lol. 👌🏼
@@DavidBuyakCessna172GPiperJ5a your fine brother. I ended up using Poly fiber at first and got everything to silver and then switched to AirTech for paint because you can use AirTech to paint fabric and the metal parts. Poly fiber you have to use a fabric paint and then a different paint for metal parts. And the yellow does not match the same so that’s the big reason for using AirTech. I HIGHY recommend AirTech from the bottoms up. I just finished up building a Pitts Model 12 from the ground up with AirTech and you wouldn’t believe how beautiful it is.
@@ColeAviation Chad, thanks a bunch! I was leaning in the Air tech direction myself. I watched a bunch of his videos and the process seems pretty straightforward. Like covering my balsa models. The finish you got on grand dads Cub was outstanding. Thanks for the advise, won’t be the last question I ask.
@@DavidBuyakCessna172GPiperJ5a Absolute brother. Anytime I’m always here if you need anything. You will definitely LOVE the AirTech process. 😁👌🏼 Very easy and way less work than Poly Fiber process.
@@ColeAviation In olden days we did not use varnish, it is in recent times. Wrong varnish can crack, so it should be added with something that makes the varnish soft so it doesn't crack. Sorry my bad English.
Per Egil Hagen - Your English is fine brother. Lol. But this AirTech paint will not crack UNLESS you add Excelerator which makes the paint dry very very fast. But there are flex agents added to this paint when it is mixed at the factory.
All yellow and shiny,looking good

You’re doing mighty good, Chad. Finish is very nice.
Looks awesome
Been looking at the same spray booth you have....That’s a good ideal building the frame inside of it

Been thinking about you and planned to check your work. nice to see it coming along to this stage. Still hope to come down for a ride someday.

That was a pretty cool setup you made for being able to spend your plane why you paint did you make that set up??
Good job bro 👍
Chad, Why did you use Air Tech rather than Aerothane for final finishing. I'm just thinking ahead for my project. Thanks
AirTech finish has been known to last longer that Aerothane without cracking. Paint flows/slicks out better as well. Much better and easier process.
@@ColeAviation Sorry to bug you again but did you use the Air tech covering system as well, or a combination of Poly fiber & Air tech?

You sprayed the Air Tech yellow over Air Tech White? So from Poly-Spray to Air Tech White?
That’s correct you add a coat of AirTech white over the silver poly tone Then you do two to three coats of yellow. 😁👌🏼
@@ColeAviation ok, cool, looks really good....
Hope he uses softener in the varnish, otherwise it will crack with time.
