Self reties are my biggest fear with having sisterlocks. However, i am about to take the class because i have a feeling that we may be shut down again and i don't want to be unable to retie my hair.
I give you props for retying all that hair. If I didn't have four kids maybe I could manage it but with kids I would go crazy and it would take me til next month to finish my hair. Right now it takes me atleast a week to finish my rety bc I keep having to stop
I have the same two tools. I find the bigger tool to work better for me. I use the smaller one on my smallest los in the front. I’ve made two knots. I just left them. There has to be videos on YT to teach how to undo a knot. When I find it I’ll fix them. Keep trying.
Heyy girl and thank you for this video! I got my locs started professionally, but I need to save some coins at almost a year and do my own reties. I experienced making a knot as well. I don't believe I heard if you said what your mom did or did you just let it keep growing out?
You did a great job! My loc journey started on 27 Apr this yr and it helped having always done my own hair (sew-ins, braids etc). I am budding and have to retie at 5wks if I push since my hair grows like weeds & I work out. Learning makes us experts 😉.
One of the reasons I decided to DIY Microloc instead of Traditional....I ran across your videos and was like I want my locs to be tiny like that! lol Beautiful and your mom does a great job, it good you tried by yourself and did a great job I'm sure your mom enjoyed her break. lol...keep the vids coming! I'm hitting 1yr in September.
I had micro locks b4 but then took them down.....well look who's abt to reinstall them again 😂😂😂. I currently have a tapered cut and I'm growing it out. I'll install them when I get more length.
Ok I thought I was the only one... like I just did a retie around the very beginning of June...now I’m looking in the mirror saying dang to myself🤷🏾♀️
I think I asked a question relating to this under one of your videos. Accidentally knotting a loc. I was wondering if you or your mom had a method to get the knots out. I've knotted a few and was able to work most of the knots out. But some of them, I was not successful.
I often accidentally catch a neighbouring loc and have to combine or cut the hair. I have a few locs hanging on by much less strands than they should be!
Hello ! you are one of the you-tubers that showed me how I wanted to get mines installed... I got established 8/9/19 going on a year 😊 mine aren’t as small as yours I knew I couldn’t handle the maintenance lol but gorgeous hair!! Just uploaded my first microloc journey video!! Please watch and and subscribe and I’ll return the luv 🙂

Quote of the day- "My edges look treacherous!"
😂😂😂
😂😂❤️I love how you say you’re going to save it for your mom😂❤️
😂😂😂
You did good for the first time. Take your time, it can be overwhelming. Keep trying you will get better at it the more you do it.
Hang in there. You can do this!
I’m trying🥴

Thank you for showing the process of self retightening
No problem!

You can do it. Get some pointers from your mom and keep going. It gets easier the more you do it. 🥰
Thank you, I will

Awesome! Thank you!
I want this so badly but the process😫😳
Thank you so much for sharing this video of what not to do when attempting to retighten my 407 locks. I really appreciate you for making this video.
No problem!
Your are so funny. I love your videos. I have sisterlocks but I absolutely love her hair and the length is perfect
Thanks 😊

I have some problems with understanding what they are.
Aren't they your real hair? How did you take down so many tiny locks? Did you shave it all?
Tapered micro locs are really cute though 👀👀
Your locs are gorgeous if I must say my self
Thanks 😊

That looks very difficult, I know I won’t be trying that at all
My first time interlocking I made the same mistakes
I just did this too and I haven’t fixed all these root knots lol. I feel less ashamed 😩😅
❤️😂
Your locs are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you!
Hi if your mom figures out a solution to her dryness, can you share? I have the same type hair as her and I am having the same issue. Thank you 🤗🤗
You have your tool up to far on the lock. Pull it down toward the bottom that will help with the pull through. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the tip
It is so so cute. I try to achieve this look with mini twists 😂🥴
Also do you plan on growing it out or keeping it around this length?
It may be helpful to use a crochet hook to put all of the hair back into the lock and then , retighten the lock
I don't like the Olocker tool at...all...either! But, I love their other products.
Omg! This is why I’m sticking to my crochet tool until I can properly learn to use the loc tool! I’m afraid of this something happening
What struggles have you made while retightening your locs?
I have a knot in my hair from self retie and I ended up just leaving it 😩 not a battle I’m gonna win
Accidentally joining my locs 😩😩😩 ugg it’s the worst I’ve cut so much of my hair
My biggest is retightening one loc but accidentally combing it to another lock. I have a few of these in the back of my head. I feel your struggle.

How long does it take to retie your hair and what schedule are you on?
The tine it takes all depends on how determined I am. Generally, I’m on a 6-8 week schedule.
You’re hair is perfect 💕
❤️
Don't give up!

You are so beautiful. ✌🏻♡😊
Use a crochet needle! It's much easier and faster! I made a video about it on my channel ❤
Thanks for the tip!
Keep in mind that people who skip the clock method, their locks can be a hit and a miss. Just saying.
That’s not true there is a such thing as a 2 or 3 point rotation
✊🏾🌹
The tool ain’t the problem by watching I can see what’s your problem.. I hope your fine now tho
You look so heartbroken :-(
😂
