Hi Becky's mom, you should be proud of Becky. She just does her thing, and brings us in that ends up encouraging! I love watching Becky & it's a treat when she cooks & stuff with her family like you & her sisters. Beautiful family!
80% post consumer recycled content means that 80% by weight of the raw material going into the pulping process is recycled paper that was used for something else previously (most likely newsprint, printer paper, or cardboard) The pulping process treats it in order to make the fibers more pliable and of course remove inks, coatings, and bleaches it. Becky, one of the best backup plans we invested in during the "missing toilet paper" days was a bidet insert for our toilet. We bought a TUSHY for each of our toilets, and WOW, what a game changer! We cut our toilet paper use down to where 1 roll lasts a week for a family for 4. In fact, we like the bidet option so much we are saving up for a "full service" seat that actually hooks up to our hot water, has a seat warmer, and a warm air dryer. I highly recommend this as a better option for saving on toilet paper, and honestly, rarely needing it. I have seen a few UA-camrs that have been sponsored by TUSHY. Maybe you could get them to send one to you to try and review.
@@desert_moon Well, you should install it and use it(it is SO easy to install). Your husband doesn't have to use it. It's optional. Your toilet will still function the same. It's "business as usual", without turning it on.
You're an amazing planner and SO talented at so many things!! You accomplish more in 24 hours than I do in a week. Inspiring! Thanks for sharing; I always look forward to your videos :)
I’m excited to see your sourdough journey! I love all things sourdough. A fun little sourdough tip: once your starter is mature, spread some of your discard starter on a tray lined with parchment and allow it to dry out at room temperature until it is completely dry. It will take at least a couple of days. Blend it into a powder and store just incase you somehow kill your starter. To use it you would add some to flour and water as you would if you were starting a new starter, but you don’t have to start from scratch. Also, sourdough discard makes a yummy pizza crust 🍕 I just pour it into a hot cast iron skillet and bake it.
I love using the kale salad in a bag to make kale slaw, instead of using the dressing packet I make a dressing out of sour cream, mayo, red wine vinegar, celery seed, and a touch of sugar, toss it all together with the dried cranberries. I also dehydrate lemon slices, keep them in a half gallon jar on the counter, and toss one or two slices into my water or tea. They rehydrate really nice in the liquid and give it a nice lemon flavor. Love watching your grocery haul videos and loved the info on toothpaste!
Oh! Don't know if you know about this, and I didn't see it mentioned in any of the top-ish comments, but you can buy empty sprayers for oil that you fill with whatever oil you want! They're super popular right now because we're all hooked on air fryers, so there's lots of different kinds. Definitely recommend steering away from any of the ones that have a pump on the top/button on the top because it'll hurt your hand like heck. But! Even just the ones that look like water spray bottles are perfect, and a great way to have the convenience of spray, reduce waste, and be able to control exactly whichever oil you use. If this doesn't help you, I hope it helps at least SOMEONE!
I have been really enjoying your videos lately. We a couple of streams of income and live on a tight budget so I can be a stay at home mom. I was curious to know how you guys run your household financially. Do you do Dave Ramsey? How do you budget? How do you save money? Who does the finances in your family?
In Chile we drink a infunsion of "melisa" for calm down or for sleep well, we just put the herb in hot water and that´s it, i dont know if it easy to get for you, but it really help whith the anxiety
I read one of the comments about freezing citrus. Please laugh at me. I thought of all the moldy citrus I have grown on the counter and in my fridge. And then I had the OMG thought of " I bought organic lemons!!! They are in my fridge!! I bet they are gross!" I bought them more than a week ago. Usually one is moldy by now. NOooo. I have used a couple. But every single lemon in my fridge is perfect. And organic. I am never buying fruit anywhere but whole foods. They were perfect. I washed em and put em in the freezer just now.
I love following your hauls! I need a marshmallow recipe video! We love s'mores during the fall and my kids would love to make them. I already had the beef gelatin in my next azure order for jello.
Lol. I feel you. But if I run out I have a cedar chest full of quilting material that I haven't used yet. So in case of emergency I'll cut 10 inch squares and wash. When my youngest was a baby he couldn't use whipes and disposable diapers. I use cloth diapers and had certain wash cloths for him
Uggg on the toilet paper. Pre-pandemic we resorted to the kleenex box ine time to many so we've made shelf space for 2 big packs ever since. We're "suppose to" remember to buy another big pack as soon as one runs out but are typically on the low end of the second before restocking. We just happened to bring ourselves to 2 full packs just a day or two before the shelves emptied and then the rule was to buy a pack of any size when ever we saw one; which wasn't very often. We handed a few of our stockpile packs out and then periodically dropped some off at the Sr Center. I think we're half way through our current second large pack from the shelf; they sure don't last as long as those bought 18-20 months ago.
Have you tried fermenting your chicken feed? I get the 50# bag of Kamut grains from Azure and set up a 4-day rotation in quart jars (1 c. grains + filtered water). I still have their regular layer feed in the bin, but it has really helped cut my feed bill! It's really good for them, even if it is a bit of extra effort for me. I'm new to your videos and am really enjoying them! I hope you do a video of the pantry re-vamp! I don't have a dedicated pantry but need some organization ideas! TYVM!
Hi Becky. I love watching your hauls and learning from you. I'd love your thoughts on toothpaste since it was in your order. I also watch Flav City with Bobby Parrish. He said in his (what he eats in a day) video that he uses only Dr Bronner's all-in-one Peppermint Toothpaste or Redmond's Earth Paste because they do not contain any SLS (sodium lauryl sulfates) which are TOXIC and only added to make the paste foam. I'm wanting to make slow changes to clean and organic foods and products as my income will allow but really want your feedback on this since it's your profession. Many thanks in advance. Karen in Marshfield, MO. 💙
If you have an Ace hardware they have (usually)a great selection of jars. Keep your bulk herbs in the freezer I buy in bulk and it stays so fresh that way.
One of your biggest fans ! 23 from NYC. HOPE TO BE LIKE YOU ONE DAY FOR MY FAMILY. You make me and my bf want to move out and have our own tiny farm & he definitely tunes in when he hears your voice. Thanks for being you and showing us ways to think about our daily lives better. You’re impacting my life I mean like all the time. Love you Becky ! Come to NYC! We’d love to have you !!! ❤️❤️

Trader Joes Crucierous crunch mix TJs blue cheese (crumble by hand) Raisins Candied walnuts (I buy Emerald brand when publix has BOGO8) Annie's brand Goddess Dressing from Whole foods (not green goddess, just goddess) or TJs brand if I have to. Sometimes sunflower kernels too Can dress it ahead of time Delicious!
You should try a Misto. It’s a bottle that turns whatever oil you like into a fine mist with no aerosol! And it’s reusable over and over. I’ve had mine for 4+ years
I'm so glad to hear you, as a professional dental hygenist, say that all toothpastes are essentially the same. I buy the sensitive type from the Dollar Tree because it doesn't have SLS in it so my mouth is not full of sores all the time. I have been a bit cautious about using it since it's from the Dollar Tree, but it's cinnamon flavored and I love it! No more expensive Sensodyne for me!
We use cloth wipes too and they're great. My mom made them. I cloth diapered my 4 kids and we used cloth wipes so it wasn't hard to just have everyone use them. We have tp too but don't go through it fast.
I really love having a stocked pantry, freezer and cleaning supply closet but I have a hard time getting my husband on board! He was happy when he realized I had some when 2020 first went crazy but he seems to have already forgotten the stress of it all and doesn’t want to restock. I just look at it as an investment and food security for us and our kids! I don’t know how to convince him. Any words of wisdom?
I try to buy extra when purchasing say pantry foods. Slowly build your stock week to week. It’s a bit easier on the weekly grocery Bill. Just a tip I do 😊
I think its important not to go overboard and cause the shortages. Remember that many people do not have the space to stockpile supplies, or the income at the ready. Leave items for people who for whatever reason have to buy week to week.
Lol. No one was worried about this until the news started telling people that people stocking up was the reason for the shortages. When people have been stocking up for YEARS. Just another way to create division and divert from the real problem.
We stopped buying milk. I've learned how to make chickpea milk and yogurt, which is very easy. It's comforting to know that I really never need to go to a store to provide for my family. A friend gives us the items she doesn't want out of her commodities box for seniors, which is quite a bit--oatmeal, canned beef, canned chicken, canned tuna, canned salmon, brown rice, boxed milk, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned beans, beans, and government cheese. I make baked macaroni and cheese for her, and other dishes. She spends her money on a lot of manufactured foods. I don't know why people won't cook for themselves.
Hi Becky, I take ashwagandha as a supplement. My Dr actually suggested that I take it because I also have anxiety and it helps me. Try it, it doesn't hurt.
Interesting topic. My daughter is using the new special pants instead of tampons (most of the time) & loving them. Especially overnight. Very environmentally friendly I know you really needed to know that. Loving your show. Subscribed. NEVER EVER run out of Toilet Paper. NEVER.
Be careful with some of the chicken feeds. Some of the natural organic feeds (we used to get scratch and peck) are not pasteurized, like your generic purina feed. Perfectly fine, honestly its amazing feed - but do not get it wet! It will grow mold. We got a bag of feed that somehow had gotten wet but didn't even think it was a big deal and poured it into our metal trash can that we keep our chicken food in. We continually dumped more feed on top of that and eventually it grew mold and killed about 3/4 of our flock. Also it is debated that sourdough starter will stay the same as its original location once it is in your area. So over time, you may not taste a difference between starters.
First of all, my 6 yr old and I enjoy your videos soo much! You’ve inspired me to spend a day making food to save more time. Secondly, I went to Joanns today and they had a bunch of quart sized canning jars. If you ever find yourself needing them and can’t find them at a regular grocery store. :)
As a physician and scientist I can tell you that organic food is no better for you than regular food. I placed an order at azure however it's not because they were organic it's because the prices were right for me for what I wanted.
Your toothpaste comments reminds me of my rants on hand washing and the reason I hate foam soap. A good majority of getting your hands clean is from the friction. If you don't need to actually lather your soap than you are not washing your hands properly! Thanks for your videos!
I always enjoy your videos, I did contact Azure, because they had never serviced the northeast much. I will be getting a catalog and the I instructions on trying to get a drop in my area. They now have a wren run with in 100 miles of my home, but I would love one closer. I love watching your azure hauls, I also watch our tribe of many hauls from azure as well. Keep up the good work you are an Inspiration ❤
I wasn't spamming about the Misto, sorry about the link. Looks like that got my comment deleted. It really is handy! Also, the Pacific Foods cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups are the bomb. I'm sad that the cases are sold out on Azure right now. I didn't check out fast enough!
Becky! I love watching your videos. They are so comforting. And helpful! You have a new friend here in England :) Also, would you consider doing more dental information videos? Your bit about toothpaste was so interesting. Keep up the good work 🍁
They are your Dad’s favorite tortillas too. I didn’t know you could freeze them! Sometimes I end up tossing the few because they go moldy. Becky’s Mom, Susan.
If you still have trouble finding jars, check our your local hardware store. My local Ace Hardware has been amazing at keeping jars and lids in stock this year, and I know places like Tractor Supply or Orscheln's could possibly have them. I'm not sure about True Value or Do It Best but I wanted to throw those out there. I totally get you on the TP deal. Since all this mess started I always tried to keep from panic buying so I wasn't part of the problem. However we have a family of 6 so I buy in bulk. I usually didn't get much of a stick eye when I bought it that way, and the one time someone was rude I said it takes a bit of toilet paper to keep up with six butts. I'd rather the kids not be dragging their rears on the front lawn. My one daughter snort laughed, and the other that was with me tried to hide lol. The opinionated snarky lady didn't have much to say after that.
I love watching grocery hauls! Keep us posted on how you like the toilet paper. Ive been considering alternative paper products too. But i don’t have the budget to buy something and find out it’s not very good.
Hi Becky, I've watched a few of your videos!! I really like how precise you are with the way you present what your cooking or purchasing. Thank You for the tip on the toothpaste!! Don't feel that people really aren't interested in your knowledge of what you know, there will always be people who are interested like me lol!! Even adults can learn new things they didn't know so Thank You So Much!!! I have never been a country girl, I've always been a city girl born and raised in Syracuse, NY so I don't know how to can like you do, my grandma used to can tomato's for sauce us being 💯% Italian but my mom didn't can she just made an extremely large any and froze it in her chest freezer so I admire the fact you can whatever you can being a young woman, most young women buy premade items! Lol But anyway don't wanna make this long which I already have, I sub to your channel and look forward to your channel!! Buon Natale or Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🇮🇹
Great video. When it comes to oils in spray cans, did you know they have to put something in the oil to make it sprayable and it is that component that will ruin any non stick pans you may have. Looking forward to seeing your next video..
Another fabulous video Becky. With regards to the tea I can recommend Pukka Relax Tea and Neals Yard Chamomile and Lavender. Not sure if you can get them in the US but you may be able to find an equivalent. :)
I love love love watching your video! always informative and just love your spirit. but at 09:40 I was giggling about your precious baby just staring at the camera 🥰🥰 such a cute puppy fam you have! 💖
Not sure if your costco has it (or if you even like it) but our costco near Seattle has these Bavarian Beer Advent Calendars and they are so much fun! 24 beers (we split them heh) imported from Germany. And not a bad price for them either!
I went to my Coscto yesterday the 22 of October. It was crazy busy and I don’t know why. People weren’t going crazy with stocking up. You could only get one TP and one paper towels too. About your roof , maybe you should have had the previous owner replace it before you bought it. Just a thought
Your skin looks amazing, just wondering if you have a skin care routine? Do you think it's genetics or from your diet eating mostly home grown/home made, organic etc?
Hey Becky, you’ve said a few times that it’s not the toothpaste, but the toothbrush. Maybe I’ve missed it, but what type of toothbrush should I be using?
I’m interested in learning to can. I really want to can salsa….I live in Olympia, WA and have a smaller yard. What are the best veggies to grow in containers, for the salsa…. Also….the canning lids….I’ve heard they are one use only….is that true? Or can they be sterilized and reused??
Thank you, Becky, for the TP when it was impossible to get and we were out! Becky’s Mom, Susan.
The pulp then goes into a paper machine where it's turned into toilet paper. The main benefit of recycled paper is not actually eliminating the paper waste IMO. wood fibers decay naturally and plain paper is 100% biodegradable, what is not biodegradable is the inks and coatings applied to the paper during the manufacturing process, recycling captures these chemicals in the waste stream of the pulping process which does have to be disposed of properly due to environmental regulations. I know that's more info than you wanted but I'm a chemical engineer with environmental health and safety experience so I couldn't resist.
Wow that’s cool. Thank you so much for the information
So, I have been throwing scrap paper and junk mail into my compost bin. Sometimes I put shredded paper in there. Does that ruin the compost?
@@whatshername369 I have heard you don’t want anything with a shiny coating or anything with ink on it.
I had no idea, so thanks for sharing that info! This is one reason I like to read the comment section- love it!

Your toothpaste comments reminds me of my rants on hand washing and the reason I hate foam soap. A good majority of getting your hands clean is from the friction. If you don't need to actually lather your soap than you are not washing your hands properly! Thanks for your videos!
If you can get it, try Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce.
Please do avseed haul you must open the box while filming
What a gift, getting seeds in the mail, dreaming of the massive harvest
I always enjoy your videos, I did contact Azure, because they had never serviced the northeast much. I will be getting a catalog and the I instructions on trying to get a drop in my area. They now have a wren run with in 100 miles of my home, but I would love one closer. I love watching your azure hauls, I also watch our tribe of many hauls from azure as well. Keep up the good work you are an Inspiration ❤
Tai pei pot stickers are the best ones we've found!!
Recipe for the green tomato enchilada sauce please!
Becky! I love watching your videos. They are so comforting. And helpful! You have a new friend here in England :)
Also, would you consider doing more dental information videos? Your bit about toothpaste was so interesting. Keep up the good work 🍁
Yeah I can do that! Thanks for watching
Looks like a lot of people are looking for dental info so a video would be great if you can fit one in 😀
They are your Dad’s favorite tortillas too.
Love your channel and all you share. I wish we lived closer.
Always enjoying your videos but I tend to hold my breathe every time I watch lol
My Brussels sprouts are pitiful this year. I pinched the top off and they are still growing. They have been frozen many times already
Didn't you order a Sourdough starter from some place but you had to send them a check.
Thank you for the awesome content, it’s fabulous to watch. 👍
Great video. When it comes to oils in spray cans, did you know they have to put something in the oil to make it sprayable and it is that component that will ruin any non stick pans you may have. Looking forward to seeing your next video..
Another fab video becky 😊
Hi dear, love your channel. Have you ever considered making mozzarella since you have a local dairy supplier. It would be interesting to see.
So....is there a toothbrush that you would recommend or tips for selecting a good toothbrush? Asking for a friend. :)
Waiting on the sourdough starter video
America needs more Women like you. 💪
You’re inspiring! Love your video’s! Thanks for sharing! :)
Could you please do a video on making marshmallows?
I went to my Coscto yesterday the 22 of October. It was crazy busy and I don’t know why. People weren’t going crazy with stocking up. You could only get one TP and one paper towels too. About your roof , maybe you should have had the previous owner replace it before you bought it. Just a thought
Take care of you first, and then of what you eat. That anxiety needs your full attention. Hug.
Do you follow the farmers almanac when starting your garden in spring?
Your skin looks amazing, just wondering if you have a skin care routine? Do you think it's genetics or from your diet eating mostly home grown/home made, organic etc?
Generic. But I do suffer from eczema bad on my hands
Thank you!
I love grocery hauls 💐💗
Hey Becky, you’ve said a few times that it’s not the toothpaste, but the toothbrush. Maybe I’ve missed it, but what type of toothbrush should I be using?
What’s your favorite cookbook?
Great hauls
I’m interested in learning to can. I really want to can salsa….I live in Olympia, WA and have a smaller yard. What are the best veggies to grow in containers, for the salsa….
Also….the canning lids….I’ve heard they are one use only….is that true? Or can they be sterilized and reused??
Think about transitioning to a menstrual cup. Game changer!
Becky you are awesome
Love your hauls!
Looking for your recipe for salsa verde I have a ton of green tomatoes in my garden that I hate to lose
Refreshing to see a youtuber who shows alcohol and says tampons
Thank you
can we get a marshmallow recipe/video??
Pnw represent tillamook ans darigold.
I aspire to be like you 🥺🥺
Happy National Canning day! 😆
HOW many kids do you have with all the food you make and buy.??
$254 at Costco? That's amazing. No seriously. It is amazing. Just curious, what state do you live in?
She's in Washington State.
🤣🤣 I'm in SoCal and I can't walk out of Costco without spending $400! That's not even my usual grocery store I buy my food lol
