      Hey Tyler, great to hear the lessons help. You are very welcome, I love this band. It's great to hear guitar songs for sure. Plus they have such great guitar sounds on their songs. If you haven't already do subscribe. Any other favourite Spacey tunes?

    Simon, you are way to skilled to only have this many views!!!! Watched a bunch of your tutorials now and you are such a talented musician! Love how you actually find the correct phrasings and aren't just teaching an ultimate guitar tab (I can do that myself).
    If you like spacy Jane have you heard of Delta Rigs?? Also Aussie, should definitely check out (and maybe do a video on!) "Never seen this before", awesome song.

      Hi mate, I haven't had time to look into this. Here's an answer from elsewhere in these comments... I've just had a bit of a listen and here are my thoughts on the solo. 1st 3 bars, not much happens, then when the band goes to the e minor the guitar plays an e octave on the A and G strings (7th and 9th frets), then from there to the end of bar 6 runs through chord tones (starts at F# into G) by playing the same octaves vibe. At bar 7 and 8 he picks up some higher register single notes (I think it might be a B at the 12fret on the B string) and then the Em comes around again and he's doing some kind of unison slide (maybe open e and sliding in to e on the B string). In bars 9-12 he's playing more octaves around the chords and in 13-16 he replicates 9-12. Hope that helps. Maybe I'll get around to a video one day, but I can't promise - there's alway so much stuff to learn and when I put out videos I want to make sure they are accurate.

    I know we haven’t hit 100k views but 2k views seems enough for the solo? 😇 would love that if you can haha. Cheers for this tutorial!!

    What kind of effects do you have on your guitar for this video?

    • @SimonMorelguitar
      @SimonMorelguitar  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Ronan, thanks for watching. No effects, going straight into the amp. I've just got the amp turned up and it's breaking up. It's a Fender Deluxe Reverb. You could mimic this sound by putting a little bit of overdrive (Gain) on your amp or using an overdrive pedal in front of the amp. Hope that helps. Hey Simon, I'm a new sub.. Your instruction is great mate, however the band I'm in with my son and his friends, (I've been a pro muso, but they're fresh to market) Harry and Lee, as new electric guitarists are struggling to learn the lead break on this one. Would be stoked if you did give us some clues into how that's played please. If you can, I'll have the lads Sub you & I'll Patreon. Please & thanks. Jords

      @@SimonMorelguitar wow Simon...! So thanks for getting back to us.
      Yeah I'm a lucky Dad.. especially since Harry invited me into his youthful band.. He reckons I make a good gimmick. 🤣🤣🤣 That's fine, I'll take it! With bells on!!
      Well, I best come good on my promise then.
      I'll pass this on to the lads, Harry; Vox, Rhythm Geetar occasional Lead. Lee Lead Geetar & Harvey on Bass & backing vox. I do a bit of backing vox too but we're hopefully getting ourselves a female vocalist to join up too soon; Leizel.
      I'll pass this on to Haz & Lee now. Hopefully they can make good out of your directions here..
