I recently got some real nice bluetooth headphones with LDAC codec, (Audeze Maxwells) and when I enable LDAC on the bluetooth the sound gets very stuttery and laggy. I saw some forum posts saying it's from having a smart watch on my phone with Galaxy Watch software (I turned off my phone and it still does it so not sure if that is the issue or not but I don't want to uninstall since that will wipe my watch). Any suggestions on what to try?

I contacted my sony wh-1000xm2 but it couldn't choose ldac on s23 ultra, rather i can easily do it on my xiaomi poco x3 pro

Mine let me switch to LDAC. I had the app that came with my ear buds also selected to LDAC, maybe that's why

I love how my S24 Ultra switches to APTx, HD Audio Codecs when i connect my HiFi Earfun Air Pro 3's to it.
You cannot change these in the Developer Options but, it does auto change when connected.
The S22 & S23 Ultra does the same.

my Hd Audio Button is greyed out S23?

I tried the same settings, i have a sony xm5 and s23 ultra, LDAC option is not greyed out, but when I select it it lets me select it, but immediately switches back to AAC when I check once again, is there any workaround to resolve this??

Samsung smart Things..u can enable ldac there.... connect earbuds>Samsung smart things>device setting>on ldac

My S23 Ultra WILL NOT output LDAC. Shows as available (Not greyed out) but when you click on it, it immediately jumps back to AptX... My old S20 has no issues, I'm thinking this S23 Ultra is a piece of shit.

Samsung does not have anything.
Not all the aptX codecs.
Samsung is cheap when it comes to audio.
All other Android phones use aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and more.
Very disappointing one of my favourite brands refuses to pay little extra to get more audio codecs.
