The airplane is called an AirCam, 1 of the most beautiful, exploration, scenic style planes in the world.

That guy's name is David Small. I took a bare footing lesson with him at the World Barefoot Center where this is filmed. Insanely talented dude along with Keith St. Onge.
DiamondBacks102 ya I'm on their partner ski team ( Cypress Gardens Ski Team) and I'll tell you the things they do are crazy! And St. Onge is still the world champion if I remember correctly and Small isn't to far behind him. Grace Petzold the junior world champion barefooter is on our team and she learned all her skills at the WBC

Very cool! I had a question, when he lets go of the rope doesn’t retract on a real up under the plane or does it just hang free, I’d be concerned it would fly up and catch in the propeller. Great to see this use of a float plane
It'll just trail out below it if he flies normal. It can snag on obstructions, so he'd have to keep it safely above terrain and then land back on the water to remove the rope.

That ultra lite was awesome. Never seen one with twin engines.
It's a Lockwood Aircam. Phil Lockwood built it with twin-engine redundancy so he could film a documentary over African Jungle where an engine failure would be... not good. When he came back to the US, he decided to offer it as a kit, and now there are a couple hundred of them out flying around. They can take off on one engine (though not recommended), and with both engines at full power the takeoff and climb performance is crazy. One of the coolest experimental kits money can buy at the moment IMO.

Always surprised at how many people have never seen or heard of bare footing. Guess my family is just a weird one. And to all wondering, yes, it bruises the hell out of your feet when you first start.
Not to mention if you don't have a padded wetsuit you got a good chance of deleting your balls from existence.
