All the kids were great, but Ellen was just killing it on the bass... I'll probably watch this another 200 times... Search awesome talent all together...
Ellen's videos almost put me in a good mood. Her talent is wonderful to behold, she laughs and smiles continuously, and her relationship with her father will warm your heart. Don't just watch the newest videos because she was a natural when she started at age 8 or 9.
YOYOKA is the veteran professional of this great band. She has been playing live since 4. She is a rock solid drummer that can drive any band to perfection. As several have commented she is a regular at Whiskey a Go Go playing with pros 2 to 5 times her age.
That drummer has been on Drummer's World list of the top 500 drummers of ALL TIME, since she was just 11. She's 14 now. She keeps perfect time, is always in the pocket, and never dominates any of the other musicians. And she only needs a few rehearsals to get something right. So basically she's studio-ready and concert-worthy already.
Ellen and Yoyoka are well-known superstars. You witnessed Ellen's brilliance. Yoyoka was just staying in the pocket for this song, but she is amazing when she goes wild. I hadn't seen the others, but they are excellent, too.
They're all astonishingly good, but the more I listen to this cover, the more I'm impressed by the vocalist. She's not only got the voice, she has the projection, and she has the stage presence.
Vinya truly is amazing. They made another song in this formation, also amazing. I checked her other works (mostly solo covers) and have to say, singing with this band, she really steped up (not that the other stuff was bad at all) and found such a power, Curious what comes next.
Vinya has really good range and projection and her stage presence is infectious and totally organic. She's very sincere and not putting on airs or trying to look the part of a rock star, buyt she's def going places (they all are).
Yoyoka, the drummer and Ellen, the bassist are the two that I have known of and have followed them for years. This collaboration is so good and what a song for kids to do. Hysteria has one of the coolest bass lines ever and am so happy to see Ellen on bass master it. Yoyoka on drums is phenomenal too on that drum kit and her and the bassist to keep the rhythm in this song is incredible. Great reaction,
Recently Yoyoka, drumming here, said they did 4 takes and each one was great. She indicated everyone was kinda surprised that everything went so well! Those of us who were introduced to the other musicians (other than Yoyoka and Ellen ) were happily surprised as well!
I think it's fair to presume they'd sell out in every venue if they would perform live and every rock musician in every town they would visit would be in the audience.
The whole group is really good, but when you have a drummer of Yoyoka's caliber it helps a lot for the group's synergy. By the way Yoyoka has been considered professional for several years now. Yoyok and Ellen are like thunder and lightning when playing together.
Ellen and Yoyoka played together before (check out their cover of Led Zeppelin - The Ocean) and became close friends. They have perfect harmony together. At that time they hoped to play together again and Yoyokas family was thinking about moving close to Ellens place.
These kids killed this cover.. Vinyas vocals were crazy!!.. Yoyokas and Ellens channel are very active with lots of great content, Bay the 9 yo has great content too
I'm so happy to see these young people getting reacted to. I'm most familiar with Yoyoka on drums and Ellen on bass, but all are equally talented from what I can see. Both of those girls have received recognition from major musicians, and have even collaborated with them. I really hope the rest of these musicians are given similar opportunities of course. I do know Yoyoka's drum skill sets are quite extensive, and expertly plays everything from classic rock (she is a regular at the Whiskey A-Gogo in LA) to jazz to prog rock to anything she puts her mind to. The jazz band she is a part of features a Grammy-winning member as well, so she ain't no slouch hehe. Her story is that at the age of one or two she crawled over to the drum kit of her family's band, was lifted onto the knee of the drummer and the rest is history. But check out Ellen as well, who has a personality and smile as big as her talent. And all of the others of course, as I will 🙂
I used to be amazed at watching Ale kill that bass line when she was about that age when The Warning covered this song, but after following her channel for awhile now, I'd have to say that Ellen is a true bass prodigy.
The lead singer has the same abilities and style as Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson of the B52s, and that is really saying something😊. Not to mention Ellen’s perfection on the bass, Yoyoka killing it on the drums, and the 2 young guitar players are brilliant! This is now one of my favorite covers of all time
Aloha Flowers, my hope is that this group of young people keep in touch and continue to collaborate together, and hopefully start writing original songs!! They truly are gifted!!
I had the pleasure of listening to this last week on the bass player's site, Ellen Plays Bass. I've been a subscriber of hers for a couple of years now. Such an amazing group of young musicians!! Thank you for the great reaction 😊🤘❤️
So cool that you did a reaction to this, thank you! I've been following Ellen for a few months, and she's an absolute joy to watch play. There's an interview with her and Charlotte and Ellen's dad that was fun to watch. It was great to see all of these very talented kids playing together, and I'm definitely up for more reactions to them.
I've heard this a few times now and the standouts for me were the guitar solo by the taller girl and then the vocals from the main singer coming out of the guitar solo. I'll be watching to see if any of them form bands and start putting out original music. And in case you didn't know, The Warning covered this song in 2015, live in front of their classmates. They would have been 15, 13, and 10 at the time. ua-cam.com/video/fU26wmlF3yg/v-deo.html
That’s an interesting one, glad someone sponsored it - I had heard it before and another one. But I already knew about Ellen on Bass and Yoyoka the drummer, there’s some serious talent there! I remember Ellen getting invited to go see Steve Vai at his home and later go and perform with him and his band!
I am a long time fan of Yoyoka and Ellen. They work well together. I also caught Bay when I saw Yoyoka in Austin and was impressed. All of the group are great. I believe they have some other songs to be released.
I discovered this on the channel “ellenplaysbass”. Her name is Ellen Alaverdyan . I’m a follower of her. She is a phenomenal bassist, and cute as a button. These kids are so talented and following them now. I have followed Ellen for a few years now and she is fantastic, my favorite video of hers is her cover of the Beatles Penny Lane ua-cam.com/video/CgT4uNqo-GE/v-deo.html she sings and plays the bass in this one, I think she is 9 in this one.

No disrespect but the frame rate in your PIP is pretty rough
