@@pacificmeister I'm on Brazil, it's going to take a while for this one to arrive here. But it's designed for this use case of yours, I just wanted to know how it works
Thanks for the good video and congratulations on the set up. I got star link and was contemplating the Wii boost but it seems I could just make phone calls with a voip app. Do you or anyone else see issues with that thought?
Agree. I should have probably skipped the weboost. Didn’t have to use it yet. So far Starlink worked well, also while driving. But then, good to have options.
Just curious if you use any security cameras at your house, just cause if you use your van for internet, while you are away traveling in your van you won’t be able to view cameras at home.
True. So far I haven’t cut the home cable yet. Hope that Verizon 5G home access service will soon be available in my area, that is cheaper than cable and good enough.
@@pacificmeister gotcha, yeah I figured there are a few ways around it, just curious if you had a plan or something else up your sleeve that others hadn’t thought of. But it only makes sense to utilize starlink while the van is there!
Good job getting rid of that pesky self aligning motorized system. What were they thinking when they designed the panel to keep proper alignment to the geosynchronous satellites. Maybe next time put in a large skylight and keep the motor, so it works.
@@MrGrindtime00 no. the starlink satellites are constantly floating around the world. you will get different speeds depending on the satellites angle that is directly above you at that time.
I'm about to switch out my old cellular wifi, this video got me excited to try starlink!
Great! Do it! Am very happy with it.
Great job. The 5200 will cure stronger than the Starlink housing itself. It’s very permanent!
Another interesting option to consider, thanks for the video :-)
Nice touch with silica packs.
table saw is the ticket
Schöne Bastelei mal wieder, Merten. Dachte kurz, du vergisst das Kabel anzuschließen vor dem Kleben 😂. Lg Alex
I would ditch the weboost and get one of the Peplink external antennas. They work amazingly well and cover the 5G spectrum. :)
awesome.. ran mine thru table saw.. thanks!!
hello, tell me how to catch? I want to do the same on a semi truck so it's much more convenient and takes up little space, thanks!
hope u kept vent holes... from factory it has breathers for intence temp swings it sees will blow a seal if u dont
Yes, I thought about that. The cable grommet is not 100% super tight and it breathes.
I believe the cent holes are just for the motor compartment which is fully sealed from the PCB area.
Thank you!
Amazing man 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
They just launched a plate to be fixed on cars, will you buy to tell us how it works?
Haha. I am all starlinked up and happy for now. Why don’t you buy it and tell us how it works?

Have you noticed any slowdowns or interruptions when your MaxxFan’s hood is open?
No difference
How's the metal plate holding up? Any rust or things you'd do different? Very good video!
Thanks. Metal plate is holding up well. I used what’s called a diamond plate sheet aluminum I think, no rust.

Hey mate. Nice work. Question about the 3M 5200. Is it still pretty strong? No issues with UV?
Thanks. No issues so far. Still holding up great with UV and just survived 100mile washboard road today.
@@pacificmeister amazing! Thanks for this. I think I'll go with the 3M 5200 too. Cheers.
I don't understand how that worked for you!!!
Does it mean that the motorized alignment and positioning for 12 hours are BS?
Have you been using it while driving? Have you had a warning from Starlink to stop this?
Still works while driving
What Height did you use for the Distant Holder ?
1 inch from ground

rofl. you call it rush hour so many times. surely you are just joking. and that you really already know the reason, surely.
Aliems?

How Deep did you go on the Selector ?
