That’s awesome. I’ve been in the bush, but my Star-Mount is waiting for me in Colorado. I chose the taller unit, so I could still remote deploy it if needs be. Awesome Job. 😊
HI JASON 👋 THAT LOOKS PRETTY COOL 😎 LOVE THE NEW RACK SETUP TOO . GLAD IT WORKED OUT FOR YOU ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏
Thanks Jason, which service did you get ? the $150 per month? I thought starlink started blocking the inmotion ability if vehicle travels faster than 10mph. Have you tested usage while moving faster?
Since the video have you tried using more in motion? Debating doing this versus just biting the bullet and getting the high performance one for the in motion capability. Thanks!
Living in the canopies of the PNW, I will be curious how you like it. I have avoided going that route for my van as I'm typically under some sort of canopy.
If you did the 12V PoE/WiFI router all-in-one conversion, you actually cut both sides of the dish housing like you did. One port if for the Ethernet cable, and the other port is for the 12V input. Either way, no harm no foul that you cut both sides because it's still gonna be enclosed in the mount.
How things going with the permanent flat mount? I really like what they have done but read reports from sprinter source of some mounts warping due to heat from being left in the sun for long periods. The warping cracks the mounting screws and moisture is able to enter the enclosure and kill the dish. I guess the new dish v3 without motor would completely alleviate the issue and there will be no need to cut open the dish and forfeit the water proofing.
It looks like there are others. What made you choose that one, and do you have any insight into the others? Maybe you could make a short of the different models, if you do.
Curious... did you or are you still looking at doing the transmission swap? Also you mentioned installing a fireplace in the van. Are you still looking at that as well ?
Hey man, super quick question: I'm over here in Missoula, and I'm considering snatching up a low miles 7.3L E350 small body ambulance. The problem is: head height. What's a rough ballpark on what a high top runs, cost-wise?
really enjoy your videos. is that a storage unit that you made into your shop. i would really like to do something like this as well when i get set up.

Thank you Jason for this info, been eyeballing a starlink kit and this mobile kit looks like it rocks.
I don't normally like the look of a high top but yours blends in nicely, it's such a cool van.
“You just don’t want to just Jerk it off” Haha Classic. Love the video, doing mine next
Great information and timely too! And, thx for showing the install kit detail.
That’s pretty damn sweet! Nice work!
Thanks for sharing this video! It'll be a lifesaver for spotty connection areas
Very nice. Clean install too. Really like that rack
Very cool. Looks like flat mounting is the way to go. Next maybe change over to run on DC power to save on Battery power. Thanks Don
This is awesome Jason. I’m gonna do this for the new camper
Brilliant 💡

The starlink DC conversion is fantastic as well. You can bypass the AC board and save conversion loss which will extend your internet usage time.
Cool way to mount Starlink...no fuss no muss.
WHOA that is away cooler than putting it out on the ground

Nice job on it.
In the process now but i think i try my vertical mill first.
Does using a rotating antenna compared to a flat mount make a significant difference in speed and connection in everyday use?
🎉

Upadate on the starlink? Any issues since you installed flat mount?TIA
At 6:44 where can I get the flat mount bottom box
Before dismantling the starlink, do I have to put it in search mode? Or leave it on storage mode? Yours looks awesome.
How much less power does it draw since the motor doesn’t require power?

van looks good you got to go find some good camping spots now

Sorry for the short answer but all well so far and I couldn't be happier. I use it everyday.

Thank you for that
You think they will make a flat mount soon?

How long do you recon until they disable this? They are selling a $2500 version they want you to purchase.

is it outdated? because now comes with Starlink
Wedge Mount Kit.

👍
There is not a magnet on the hard to get cable in the pedestal base. It is a Ferrite device.
Yikes, I could not watch once I realized you were going to saw it open..haha
👏🏻😎❤️
Looks like the roof of the vehicle has room to bond more Starlink dishes in an array for faster speed.
3:42 Excuse me?
Grippy drawer liner
Great kit but I hate half ass instructions. Be thorough and give detail, it’s literally not hard.
don't blow out plastic dusk without wearing proper breathing protection and alternatively, you could vacuum it out.
