Also sorry for the slew of comments 😶 but you asked before about the trigger delay for items! I tried to pay close attention to the video and using the haste countdown numbers as reference, I believe the "animation delay" for items is one trigger per about 0.33 seconds, or 3 times per second. Might not be exactly that but it looks like it's very close to it. So I guess for example for items like pufferfish you're looking to average more than 3 hastes per second.
Worth noting, Enchanting your Hammer will cause whatever it upgrades to ALSO gain that Enchantment! You could have had multiple items with Shielded. ^.^
So Awesome to see you having so much fun with this new game! ^^ Amusing to see how many build potentials the game has even tho it's still early access - and so fun to see you cover them one by one ! makes every episode interesting
Cove is extremely good in your inventory with the intention of selling it later, giving you the ability to essentially get gumballs and deluxe chocolate for free on top of profiting off of free loot. I take it every time i see it at bronze tier
41:36 Sextant was a tool. You even looked at it and thought about it, so I was very surprised when you turned it down on the basis that it's not a docks item (which I think is correct).
I'm still very much learning the game, but I've started to see two patterns (both thanks to playing, and your videos). The "meta" that is forming on the game (which I could be misreading grossly, I'm just spitting out opinions here), if you want 7+ wins is either, conditional triggers (that is, outside of cooldown like pufferfish) or idk, I'd call it early game big damage-- like a good langxian or sniper rifle, or even some burn builds if they come together well. The problem with both, and it becomes specially apparent the more days in game you spend (that is, if you lose some fights early on) is what I call the less-than-6-seconds rule. It's not a real thing but I break up the items like that because there are a lot of very impactful items that have 6 seconds cooldown. In my mind, ideally if you want to be able to reach at least 7 wins, your board needs to start doing things like on second 4 at most, if you don't you'll be at a huge disadvantage on a lot of fights. Which makes your choice of putting in the captain's wheel on board here very smart, even if the haste triggers became redundant as soon as your board started to go off, because starting your board interactions on second 2 is quite good. This also makes me think vanessa's skill that hastes aquatic items is Very good, way better than one would initially think, because the initial haste activations trigger a chain reaction that could basically equal to starting the fight a few seconds before the opponent. I've had runs where, if I got to live to say second 12 I would be able to generate like 2k+ shield per second or more, but I still struggled to reach 7 wins because some opponents just deal SO MUCH damage in the first 6 seconds. Vanessa's ammo builds specially but every character can be fast with the right board. Anyway, just rambling on building theories.
I love burn Vanessa, but I feel like you need about 3-4 slots dedicated to disruption (Clamera, Dock Lines, Rainbow Potion, Iceberg, Spyglass...) or survival (Life Preserver, Cove). You can also do burst with Powder Keg, also quite fun. Stacking HP with Tropical Island can also help a lot.
As per usual, your exploration of every type of build will catapult you upwards later, even if it doesn't lead to ten wins every time right now. Also game did seem to slow down a little towards the end, so a restart might have been needed. (disclaimer: pun may or may not have been intended)
It's pretty hard for me to skip Boilerroom Brawler nowadays. Hammer is amazing, maybe the single best item in the game right now. Wrench can do some work in a good amount of builds. Haste potion is good in almost any build. And the skills are sometimes very breakable as well, especially on Dooley. The junk items and multitool are acceptable. That leaves only Toolbox as a useless item.
Some items affect stuff in stash, but I think "leftmost" maybe, well obviously now, affect only on the board. It's too bad, it really would make sense if leftmost could also be in stash.
I think it makes sense though. What if you are in a scenario with a completely full stash and board and everything is poison. Which is the leftmost item then? And yes, I'm pretty sure the items that affect all items or all items of a particular type work for stashed items as well. The specific leftmost ones don't.
I'd say computers are either PvE or monster, and players are pvp or ghosts. My only gripe with pvp and PvE is that they sound very close to one another.
@@RhapsodyPlays fyi, when you have hammer, you can upgrade feathers. so find curo or any of monster that have feather is kinda game-breaking because you can hammer feathers for 12% cooldown and just put all your weather glass or whatever is carry item.
I call the non-player fights monsters, since that's what the game calls them in the shop that sells "Monster Skills".
Love seeing these kinds of janky hybrid builds. 7+ wins is a success to me, all things considered! Well done, fun video

works for every item which upgrades another item. D: I never knew. That's insane value.

I’m sold on calling the non player fighters PvE, and player fights PvP :)

From what i’ve seen, non-player combats are called "pve" and battles against players are "pvp"
My source is Retromation
There's a very specific reference I _Wanted_ to make, but UA-cam ate it twice... So...
Do it Ryan
Curve the _lead projectiles_

pretty sure sextant is a dock item, but even if it wasn't it was a tool.
It's both, yes...
Pve and pvp are the distinctions that ive seen among those who play this game.

You can upgrade scrap for bigger benefits too.
This is a cool game!
Would love to see you use some of the skins you've unlocked

@Rhapsody, what is your cheat sheet you're reading during the game ? Is that something official, readily available?
It's HowBazaar but the devs have apparently spoken about adding the info contained to the game itself.

Non Player = PVE, just like it has always been.
