Currently prepping for the smc come october 1st and really aiming for a bmo qualification due to how well ive been scoring in practice but these videos and walkthroughs have helped tremendously so thank you so much
@@DJCricketMSD currently reading the art and ctaft of problem solving by paul zeitz and just doing lots of past papers. I have the bmo companion books aswell so im going through those and doing bmo1 and bmo2 questions which really are testing my problem solving skills so when i come back to the smc it becomes more straight forward
Yes that is a good habit - if you do them inside the free course linked in the description instead it stops you before each question and even has a hint video
I do have a couple of courses. - the Go for Gold one is more structured and has a 3 day free trial - courses.mathsaurus.com/courses/go-for-gold-in-maths-challenges-age-16-18
Am a new a level maths and fm student doing smc this year. This video scared me 😭
Yes, don't worry, they're meant to be very hard - nothing like a 'normal' test, very few students get anywhere near 80% on this one!
Same! We also found out last week and it's already today :D
i have my smc tomorrow and im kinda stressing, like these are so hard, this video helped alot tho thank you
Yeah they’re meant to be hard - lash year just 5 correct would get you a bronze though! Good luck!
I also just realised you taught at Westminster School - one of the best, if not the best in UK 😮
Yes that’s true it was my first full time teaching job!

This is very useful, thanks a lot sir! But I need to learn to attempt the question before your explanation 😂🎉🎉

@Mathsaurus ps good luck!
It will be nice to have you in my school 😅😊
Hi Kevin, do you have any tips on how or where to find online maths tuition students?
Thanks.
Personal contacts, agencies and online listing boards like superprof would be my starting points
Just curious about the percentage of candidates who get full marks?
Hey! Is there any other way for practice for these challenges other than just grinding past papers (which is what I've been doing lol)
